Thanks so much to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this advance copy of the Incredible Adventures of Casper the Cat Who Got Lost in Africa Book 3 - The Giraffes by Jennifer Ussi.

Having read book #2 I was offered the opportunity to continue the story, which I think maintains its interesting 'going home via agreeable incidents along the way' narrative a la Disney.

Casper now meets the giraffes who are tall as he is small. They bond, tease over names and solve a thorny problem. Luckily I have nephews who will lap this story up and shall read it to them.

Another wonderful Casper adventure! Casper is lost but she is happy to accept help from the many animals she meets on her journey home. There are wonderful conversations and descriptions of African creatures, with amazing trivia. This is a fun book for kids to read by themselves, but also a great book to read in a group to talk about everything you learn.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this ARC

The Incredible Adventures of Casper: The Giraffes by Jeniffer Ussi .This is the third book in The Incredible Adventures of Casper the Cat Who Got Lost in Africa series, it was a beautifully written book which I loved reading to my nephew O. It was a joy to read from start to finish. 😁

"After wandering far from home, city cat Casper continues her wild adventure across Africa—meeting one incredible animal at a time. In this latest tale, Casper’s journey takes a tall twist—straight into the world of giraffes!

She wakes up in a tree (again!) and finds herself nose-to-nose with Jerry, a gentle giraffe with a nervous wobble and an impressively long neck. Before long, Casper is caught up in the herd’s most exciting moment the birth of a brand-new baby giraffe.

Between sliding down Jerry’s neck, dodging bossy ox peckers, and navigating a land of giants, Casper has her paws full. But when danger creeps close and little Jackson needs help finding his feet, it’s Casper who must act, because even the smallest cat can make a towering difference."

💙 This book was beautifully illustrated throughout, when I was reading this to O there was lots of laughter and O could not stop talking about the Giraffe's especially as these are his favourites. 💙

A great little book that will melt your heart and give you joy whilst reading it 😁 ❤️ 🦒 ❤️ 😁

Big Thank you to NetGalley and especially BooksGoSocial for my ARC.

Just like the first two books in this series, The Incredible Adventures of Casper, The Cat Who Got Lost in Africa Book3 - The Giraffes introduces young readers to the animals of Africa as well as showcasing a great character trait. In this story Jennifer Ussi has the animals working together as a team. This is our favorite so far in the series with Casper meeting not one but several new animals. A fun story with Casper meeting the next animal before the giraffes leave him. Still will the cat Casper ever reach his family safely is the big question. For now, he is content to have wonderful adventures with new friends as he heads in the direction of family and home.

Easy enough for the rising third grader in our family to read completely on his own. Yet the rising fifth grader and this grandmother enjoy Casper’s adventures too. Just as much, we love the illustrations and animal information at the end. So a great chapter book for independent young readers but also for those adults who enjoy reading with them.

The Incredible Adventures of Casper the Cat Who Got Lost in Africa: Book 2 - The Giraffes is a delightful and engaging tale perfect for young readers and storytime. Casper’s heartwarming journey of befriending a herd of giraffes, alongside encounters with an oxpecker, baboon, and the joyful birth of a baby giraffe, is both entertaining and captivating.

The story strikes a wonderful balance of fun and education, with informative text at the end providing fascinating facts about the animals Casper meets. The cute illustrations add to the narrative, bringing the African savanna to life with vibrant, adorable visuals. Ideal for early chapter readers, this book is a must-read for animal lovers and adventure enthusiasts alike. Five stars.

I received a DRC from Books Go Social through NetGalley. This review is my own and reflects my honest thoughts and opinions.

Casper the Cat is back with her third adventure in the African bush - first Pangolins, then Elephants, and now - Giraffes! Casper first meets Jerry the Giraffe and is then introduced to the entire herd, including the newly-born baby giraffe Jackson. When rumblings of danger reach the herd, Casper, the giraffes, and their animal allies and friends have to band together to learn the source of the threat and to keep each other safe. This is a beautifully-illustrated chapter book perfect for early readers and animal lovers alike. Looking forward to Casper's next adventure!

Join Casper the Cat on another exciting adventure! This time, he encounters some friendly giraffes and takes on the important task of keeping a newborn giraffe safe as he learns to stand on his wobbly legs. With the help of a few jungle pals, Casper reassures the giraffes, proving that teamwork makes everything possible.

I found this book even more enjoyable than the second—it's beautifully written with a seamless flow that keeps you engaged while being packed with fascinating information. The artwork is stunning, and I especially love the delightful tidbits at the end, which share intriguing facts about each animal Casper meets.

This is a fantastic read for young animal lovers and a perfect way to spark curiosity about the animal kingdom!

THE INCREDIBLE ADVENTURES OF CASPER THE CAT WHO GOT LOST IN AFRICA: BOOK 3 - THE GIRAFFES continues Australian author Jennifer Ussi's delightful series of children's books about sassy Casper the Cat (a lost city cat) and his adventures in the African wilds, as he tries to make his way home.

Book Three has Casper meeting up with a herd of giraffe who are eagerly anticipating the birth of a new baby in their group. A few additional animals join the story - including a baboon, oxpecker, spotted bush snake and Grey Crowned Crane. As in the previous two books in this series, the final few pages include factual information about the lives of the critters that appeared in the story. Adding a wonderful educational opportunity.

The series is illustrated by the talented Lekshmi Bose with the narrative is aimed at five to ten year olds. Each book includes valuable lessons in friendship and respecting differences.

While, like most adults, I usually select my reading material from adult books, I do occasionally pick up a children's book. I find that children's books, because they are necessarily simplified, remind me about what makes the essence of a good story. If you'd like to try it, this would be a good series to pick.

I was surprised by "The Incredible Adventures of Casper the Cat Who Got Lost in Africa." I was expecting an adventure book, but it delivered more than that. The story was peppered with humorous exchanges between Casper and the other characters. My children laughed a lot while reading it. I also liked the structure — the chapters provide opportunities for small breaks, which is helpful since the book is a bit lengthy for 1st graders like my children. Still, I think it's perfect for upper elementary students. Another aspect I enjoyed is the educational component. The last 15 pages are filled with fun facts, delivered with imagination and excitement.

This is the third delivery of little Casper who got lost in Africa, still a bit lost if you ask me haha, but making friends along the way.
In this edition Casper meets the giraffes, the baboons, some cranes and some noisy bird whose name I already forgot.
As usual this book is educational, sweet, and in my opinion uses some words I wouldn't feel too comfortable my nieces learning at 5, but its pretty fun for children a tad older, like 7 or 8
It includes animal facts and great problem solving so its pretty good.
Thanks NetGalley and Boola books for this en exchange for an honest review.

Very cute pictures! I was charmed by those, especially the ones with the star cat, Casper. The story was a little bland, though.

Adorable and incredibly sweet little book, that’s both entertaining and informative. I loved reading this to my one year old and eight year old. Stunning illustrations and lovely story! 🥰

First it is clear the writer is someone that observes animals. Not only because of the facts given about them but because of the animals chosen. You will have to look far and wide to see an African crowned crane depicted in just about anything. So, the story is a very Wild Kratts style tale with animals on the adventure instead of people. Casper, a black cat, wakes in a tree and travels with a giraffe meeting other animals along the way. I was very glad to see a snake appear and not as a villain but a helper as this is my favorite animal. I was humored to see the naming style of the animals addressed. Most have a name starting with the same letter or sound as their species, (Casper the Cat. Cassie the crane. etc.) At times I found some of the dialogue and tags odd, but it is easy to get by and could be because this book is targeted at young children. A nice story about animals and working together.

This is perfect for an elementary school classroom. The extra facts about the various animals introduced in the book makes for a great educational opportunity. The story is fun and would keep students engaged in the material, while the beautiful illustrations would draw any reader in deeper. What a fun way to introduce children to the animals in Africa!
