“6 STAR READ, 6 STAR READ, 6 STAR READ” I chant.
I did not realise this was a debut and my jaw needs to be hoisted up off the floor. This was BEAUTIFUL and portrays a tender love story between an exiled saint and the devout acolyte sent to spy on him.
The setting was very Wuthering Heights which I loved, this had so much dreamy imagery but was also quite dark at times. I was utterly captivated by this book and it’s quickly shot up my list of favourite reads of the year.
