This was actually quite interesting. I always pick up gardening almanacs thinking what new topics can they talk about, however I found new things to do each month. Especially over winter, I always struggle to know what to do and now I've got ideas. Interesting and inspiring. I also liked the illustrations

A nicely put together book for gardening in 2026 with monthly sections on sunset/sunrise times, weather, jobs to do, houseplant of the month, unusable vegetables, etc. It's a nicely put together book with lino prints although I would have liked some colour photos as I found myself Googling a lot of the more unusual plants mentioned.
Good for a not overly experiences gardener. I enjoyed the monthly tips from head gardeners from National Trust properties. Quite a bit of repetition on how to take and grow cuttings but some interesting tips nonetheless.
I did feel like the houseplants listed came from the IKEA product range or maybe IKEA are only selling those mentioned by the National Trust!
With thanks to NetGalley and Collins Reference for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was an interesting book which I imagine may appear under a number of Christmas trees this year! Ideal to dip into throughout the year, I enjoyed the mix of practical tips, trivia and seasonal data, but would've liked a few more pictures. My e-copy was really hard to read with missing letters and mixed up lines but I imagine a print copy will be better, and also mean the reader can use the notes pages to good effect
Thank you to netgalley and National Trust books for an advance copy of this book.

These almanacs make me a better gardener.
A gardener’s and nature lover’s dreams come true: sunrise and sunset times, what to sow, what is in flower, spaces for wildlife spotted, info and tracking, garden journalling all packed in this beautiful almanac.

ARC 5 🌟 The latest Gardener’s Almanac guide is great and has beautiful linoprint images throughout the book. It goes through the year; moth by month, offering monthly gardening inspiration, plant highlights, to do jobs, tips, and advice.
Thank you NetGalley, Collins Reference & Greg Loades; National Trust Books for sending this eARC for review. All opinions are my own.

This is the third year I've been lucky enough to receive an ARC of the Gardener’s Almanac, and once again, it doesn't disappoint. This National Trust gem is a beautifully put-together guide, offering monthly gardening tips, advice, and seasonal inspiration. I especially appreciate the practical additions like average temperatures and sunrise/sunset times, small details that really help with planning.
Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, this book is both useful and charming. A perfect gift for any green-thumbed family member or friend!

A fabulous guide through the year of gardening, both outdoors and for houseplants. This is suitable from beginners to experienced growers as we can all miss key jobs throughout the year. It would make a great present too!

This is a really handy book to have to help see you through the year in your garden. Whilst i don't think the version on my kindle does it it's full justice it was still a pleasure to read and very informative.

A wonderful little book for gardeners at any level. Those who already have good knowledge can still enjoy the tips and useful information and use the handy notebook, and those (like me) who still have rather a lot to learn can enjoy the month by month guide to what needs to be done. There are tips on indoor and outdoor plants so you don’t need a big garden to enjoy it and, as always with the National Trust, the beautiful quality would also make it a lovely gift.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy in return for an honest review.

I LOVE this so much!
I've had my own landscaped garden for 3 years but I'd still consider myself a novice gardener as I still feel like I have so much to learn. This Almanac is the PERFECT guide for someone like me (lots to learn, loves a list and straightforward tasks). Every month has a blend of indoor/outdoor/wildlife tips and tasks that are all easy to fit into your weekly schedule without feeling overwhelming or too difficult. I love that there's also a page for your own notes each month so that you can keep track of what you've achieved.
I'll definitely be recommending this to friends and buying as a stocking stuffers at Christmas! 😊
