I have yet to read a book where the main characters family are this funny. Aubrey was left at the alter and her sister Rox was playing no games in going after him, and even doing anything and everything possible to make this man suffer for what he did to her sister.

Like always she has a honeymoon she has to go to alone and there of course she meets the man she's going to fall in love with. She learns a lot about herself, and the people there are best people to have around, each with their own story and so quirky, seriously a fun little romance.

Its never too late or too early for some winter romance reads.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

This book is the perfect way to usher in the, festive season. It is full of lovely people, glamorous locations, and romance. With much sparkling humour, this is a real page turner.

After Aubrey is left at the altar she decides to go on the booked honeymoon by herself, a luxury train Christmas special travelling across Europe and Scandinavia. When boarding the train she is embarrassed to say that she was jilted, instead saying that her husband had died in an accident. Joining a group of singletons they form a friendship as the train makes its way from one stop to the next.
Filled with a choice cast of characters this was a very enjoyable read, with the romantic part being filled by Jasper. Aubrey travels around the world and enjoys being away from home, totally unlike myself who is a homebody, but this trip certainly sounds like something that I would love, like a cruise but on a train. Read and escape life visualising the journey.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

I so felt for Aubrey but loved her strength of character, the way she questioned what she actually wanted and her growth through the book was so good.
The travelling was via a train and visiting various locations was really well written the descriptions brought the surroundings alive for me.
The characters on the train were well thought out with some of them so colourful and quirky, I loved how Audrey went with the story of her husband being dead rather than him jilting her, it really made me laugh how it escalated 😂
A fun festive read but also so sweet

I wanted to curse out Miles ! I knew something wasn’t right when Aubrey said he has been distant recently. A girl knows when something isn’t right. I knew Aubrey would know how to handle the situation. She’s a strong character. Rox had the right idea of Aubrey going on the trip alone.
I loved the story. It was so incredibly cute and had the best characters. I loved how well a sad beginning turned out with a fantastic ending. I loved that Aubrey was able to meet someone who I feel was more aligned with her.
The group was hilarious and I love that they all became friends. Knowing Aubrey and Jasper can have their happiness with each other is heartwarming. I love the relationship Aubrey has with her sister Rox. It’s always good to have that support. I absolutely love the relationship that Aubrey and Jasper have started. So romantic and sweet.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fun, sweet and warmhearted. It kept me reading and the theme of traveling during the Christmas season on a luxury train stopping at various European cities just added to the story. I enjoyed this book and would read other books by this author.

Jilted at the altar, Aubrey embarks on her planned luxury Christmas train journey through Europe alone. Onboard, she joins a group of other singles and unexpectedly falls for a handsome travel journalist, discovering that her solo honeymoon might be the best Christmas gift of all.

What a fun book! Sweet and heartwarming, fast-paced and funny, it’s a pleasure to read. It’s the first book I’ve read by this author, but it won’t be the last.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

When Aubrey, a travel consultant and former digital nomad, is left at the altar a few days before Christmas, the only thing she can think about is the honeymoon she had planned. It's too late for her to cancel the luxury train journey aboard the Winter Wonderland Express leaving from Calais, France and stopping for Christmas markets in several European cities on route to Lapland, Finland so she decides to go on the romantic trip alone. When boarding the train, Aubrey accidentally implies that her new husband has tragically died and she soon finds herself part of a group of singletons which includes a handsome travel writer named Jasper.

As far as I know, the trip that Aubrey takes is completely fictional but I want to take it so badly! With stops in Paris, Bruges, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Copenhagen, and Stockholm to browse Christmas markets and enjoy seasonal activities as the train makes its way to the final destination of Lapland where they stay in igloos, dogsled, and hopefully see the Northern Lights - this is a dream European vacation for my Christmas-loving self!! Needless to say, I loved the setting but Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express is also a fun Christmas romance. A quick holiday read with a cute storyline and quirky characters - exactly what I have come to expect from Rebecca Raisin!

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for providing a digital ARC of this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

After getting left at the altar, Aubrey decides to go on her honeymoon alone, a beautiful Christmas themed train ride through Europe. Aubrey is used to living an itinerant life, moving from place to place so that when she meets travel journalist Jasper on the train, it couldn't be more perfect. Aubrey is supposed to be upset and grieving the abrupt halt of her marriage on her solo honeymoon journey, but one look at Jasper has her completely forgetting Miles and what he did. This train ride is an absolute dream come true. Each of the stops they make are described in lush details, and it sounds like a journey I would love to take. This book has such fabulous supporting characters. From Aubrey's sister Rox who is her biggest advocate, to Princess who brings fun, great laughs, and sly matchmaking ways, to Sabrina the sweet yet clumsy staff member who is always there to cheer Aubrey up and of course the entire Unkucky In Love Travel Club. I loved every minute of this book. I inhaled it in one day. This is such a fun, festive read to get you in the holiday mood.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC.

The story starts on 16 December in Kent, which was supposed to be Aubrey's wedding day. However, fiancé Miles leaves her at the altar and so she goes on her honeymoon alone. Aubrey, 39, is a travel aficionado and runs an online travel agency. She has found the perfect romantic ten day wintery honeymoon on board the luxury Winter Wonderland Express which starts from Calais and stops in Paris, Bruges, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Copenhagen plus Stockholm for Christmas markets and sightseeing and lastly Lapland for an igloo stay and watching the Northern Lights.

Most of the travellers are loved up couples but half a dozen find together to form The Unlucky in Love Travel Club, to give each other moral support. The feisty Princess, 75, ("It’s not just a name, it’s a way of life!") is the leader of the pack. She thinks a curse killed her previous three husbands and so is weary to try again. Aubrey herself had planned to shut herself off from love but there's a problem - Jasper, an insanely hot travel journalist from Connecticut, booked to write about the journey, causes butterflies in Aubrey's tummy the moment she sets eyes on him. Miles who? She's already verbally killed him off anyway and is now a merry widow in the other travellers' eyes.

This book is incredibly Christmassy and cosy and I would love to find such a train journey (if it's not too expensive) and snuggle up in an igloo with a hunk. The route seems well thought out and is really enticing. I loved Princess and Sabrina, the young employee who is always so bubbly and helpful. However, I found her sister Rox annoying and too wild. There is a lot of matchmaking going on, usually by Princess, so it's really a festive love train.

It's all quite predictable but charmingly told. Also, I'm pretty sure that after Brexit Aubrey cannot live her nomadic lifestyle as freely as before, or only in three months' intervals. That aside, I liked her introspection and realisation that Miles had done her a favour and that she needs someone who is bitten by the same travel bug as she has been. It's lovely to arm-chair travel with her and gain her (and others) insights into love and what life she wants to lead. This is a quick, fluffy, closed-door romance with a beautiful cover and quirky, loveable characters, taking place in idyllic settings. I would recommend this book as a festive escapist treat, to be read in front of a roaring log fire, of course.

The Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express is filled with humor, unexpected romance, Christmas marts, train travel, and northern lights.

Aubrey is anticipating her romantic honeymoon on the Wonderland Express…until her fiancé leaves her standing at the altar. Even though she knows the trip will be filled with romantic couples, she decides to take the Wonderland Express trip anyway and enjoy visiting the European Christmas Marts and seeing the Northern Lights. Impulsively, she announces that her husband has died tragically, a decision she later regrets. She joins a small group of other singles who label themselves The Unlucky in Love Travel Club, and she meets a handsome journalist, Jason.

A colorful and quirky cast of characters provides plenty of opportunities for humor, hilarious situations, and witty banter. Some of it borders on absurd, but if you go with it and are looking for an entertaining and light read, this does not disappoint.

I admire a main character who knows herself, is independent, and confident. Aubrey doesn’t know why her fiance has left her at the alter, but she is level-headed and trusts the relationship enough to suspect that he must have a good reason. She’s concerned but doesn’t blame herself or fall apart. She decides to take the trip and make the best of a difficult and awkward situation. Aubrey knows what she wants in a committed relationship and is not afraid to communicate that to Jason. Aubrey and her ex-fiancé have an honest, adult discussion about what happened. I appreciate all the mature communication!

What’s not to love about festive, holiday train travel through Europe? Add a few Christmas Marts and the northern lights!

Fans of escapist reads, train travel, zany humor, and unexpected romance will find lots to appreciate about the Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express.

Another fantastic book from Rebecca Raisin - love the concept of a train trip for Christmas through Europe. The characters are brilliant - the interactions between them are so positive.

This was the perfect escapist read! It was a swoony, closed-door romance between Aubrey and Jasper who were perfectly matched because they had so much in common. I loved the quirky characters that added a bit of humor and fun to the story. I also loved the sense of community in the Un-Lucky in Love Travel Club and how they included Sabrina into their group. It had the best HEA ending that left me feeling uplifted and satisfied. This is a great book to add to your Christmas TBR list!

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Rebecca Raisin for providing me with a complimentary digital ARC for Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express coming out August 13, 2025. The honest opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I’ve read a few books by this author and enjoy her writing. I loved that it started out in December. I think the plot has been done before, but it’s a fun plot to me. I thought the characters were interesting and I enjoyed the traveling.

I loved the characters in this book. They were all so quirky and fun. Aubrey decides to take her honeymoon train trip alone, and she meets a few other singletons on the same trip. They form a little club and become great friends. There is also love in the air, and there are not as many single people at the end as there were in the beginning. This was lighthearted and fun with some great European stops mixed in.

Last Stop On The Winter Wonderland Express brought the feelings of Christmas, hope, love, and laughter all at once! 💫💫💫💫💫

Aubrey is left at the altar by her fiance Miles without an explanation. Her sister Rox is ready to handle him, but Aubrey decides to let him be and board the Winter Wonderland Express, which was their honeymoon destination.

This book was full of so many wonderful characters, each with their own stories and all united by jilted love. I had so many laugh out loud moments with Sabrina, the gingerbread woman, and train welcomer. Jasper, the love interest was just perfect, and thanks to Princess and all her occurrences, it all came together neatly. My favorite part was how unsuccessful their Unlucky in Love Travel Club was. And how everyone had their own idea of how Miles had "passed."

Thank you, Netgalley and Boldwood Books, for this ARC. All opinions are entirely my own.

Christmas and romance, my two favourite things! Firstly, that cover art is so cute, I would immediately pick this off a shelf seeing that, it pretty much depicts my dreams, the aurora, being cosy while there is snow outside; bliss!
I absolutely love the idea of the winter Wonderland train, what a brilliant way to explore and celebrate Christmas festivities, it all sounded wonderfully magical!
Then we meet the characters, I laughed along with Rox and her absolutely mad view of life, Princess is absolutely one of a kind, what an interesting woman! Jasper, sigh, I don't know that there's good enough words to tell you about my newest book boyfriend Jasper here, swoon is probably an apt word. I loved the idea of his, and Aubrey's jobs and travel, it sounded super exciting. Of course we met some other less featured but no less interesting characters and they all played a really important part in the story. Aubrey is the lead female character through all this and at the start I was absolutely heartbroken for her, but as she boarded the train and met these people, she healed a little more at each stop, until she realised that settling for less than perfect for you, is no life at all. What a great moral for us all, life doesn't need to match what others may think is right for you, its what makes your heart happy.
This is a beautiful winters read and I would love to see some of these characters reunited again in a future story somehow!

Aubrey is excited for her wedding and of the honeymoon that she and her future husband would go in. But at the last minute, Aubrye was dumped by her fiance. She was heartbroken but that didn't stop her to go to her own honeymoon. The honeymoon was the luxury winter train from England, passing all European cities from Paris to Stockholm. As Aubrey boards the train, she realizes that she wasn't the only singleton in the train--and together they form a club called Unlucky in Love Travel club. Now Aubrey have a fun time with them and couldn't help but notice the handsome travel journalist Jasper as well.

I like reading all Rebecca Raisin's story as it gives heartwarming vibes. This was also a funny book as there were some funny parts in the book that will make you laugh out loud. I enjoyed mainly about the sceneries as they travel through Europe--from Paris, Hamburg visiting Christmas markets, to Copenhagen to Stockholm. I also liked how the chemistry between Aubrey and Jasper developed and the friendship between Sabrina, Princess and Aubrey.

Overall this is a funny, heartwarming story and will give five stars.

Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. The review is based on my honest opinion only

This is a gorgeous feel good story about friendship, love and all things Christmas.
I’m a huge fan of all things Christmas and the trip on The Winter Wonderland Express sounded perfect. What’s not to like about travelling onboard a gorgeous train and stopping at festive cities every day.
I thought the characters on board were so good - each of them had their own reasons for being on board and very quickly I fell for all of the Unlucky In Love travel group. Their camaraderie and support for each other was perfect. Aubrey has not had it easy and I could understand her trepidation of being a ‘singleton’ on a romantic train journey but she’s soon gathered up by Princess - my favourite character - and it’s nonstop from then on. Romance is obviously not on the cards after being jilted but the chemistry between Aubrey and Jasper is obvious and I loved seeing their friendship grow. This story made me laugh and have a few tears as I was swept up in the magic of the train and the cities visited.
