Rebecca’s books are always like a warm hug, so delightful and cosy. Her latest offer is no exception- an enchanting festive read. Aubrey is a travel agent who loves exploring the world, Miles is a sports teacher who is keen to make sure he gets his 130g protein per day. They’re due to get married and go on an amazing honeymoon until Miles gets cold feet and leaves Aubrey at the alter. Heart-broken Audrey decides to go on her romantic honeymoon aboard the Winter Wonderland Express alone.

Raisin’s locations are always amazing, almost a character in their own. It’s always a bit disappointing that they’re fictional as I’d love to go visit them all! The Winter Wonderland Express is a dedicated train full of Christmas cheer- from staff in festive outfits that change daily, a library car to ugly Christmas jumper competitions, Elfie Selfie stations and Christmas dance offs. It starts off in Paris and makes it way North to Lapland via Bruges, Amsterdam, Hamburg,Copenhagen and Stockholm. Each stop includes a chance to visit the famous sights of the cities, Christmas markets and enjoy local delicacies as well as mulled wine and Christmas beer.

The cast of characters were so much fun. I loved Aubrey’s friend Freya and sister Rox who supported her after things went wrong. Once onboard Aubrey is then put with 5 other singles who soon become fast friends and form Unlucky in Love Travel Club. Each member had their own quirks and they were lots of fun. They are all linked by hints of the mystery of a couple who are in the rocks and trying to work out which of the many lived up influencer couples it is.

One of the members is American Jasper who has recently been divorced and is also a free spirit like Aubrey. Their slow burn romance was lovely and as we learn more Miles we can see he wasn’t the right fit for Aubrey. Exploring the themes of body image, control and hoping partners will change it all wrap up in a very satisfying ending and maybe hints that the club will get back together soon. One of the best Christmas reads I’ve read- make sure you get onboard The Winter Wonderland Express!

Another heartwarming, charming read by the wonderful Rebecca who always writes such beautiful stories with warmth.

I loved the destinations and experiences the characters had there, the quirky characters all added something to the story. The relationship between Aubrey and her sister was lovely and the banter they shared had me smiling along while reading. Princess with her wit and sternness and Sabrina too became firm favourites of mine.

The book is a cosy, well written book full of love, hope, friendships and second chances. A perfect festive read in stunning destinations which fills you with all kind of cosy feelings. The ending was perfect! It’s a must read for Christmas.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange of my honest review

This is my second book by Rebecca Raisin and I must say I’m a fan! This book starts with Aubrey preparing to get married. As life throws her lemons she goes on a train ride “Winter Wonderland Express” which is going to end in Lapland on Christmas Eve. On the train she meets a great bunch of people who will no doubt become life long friends. The group all get into the festive spirit via the many fun Christmas events on board. You feel for the characters as they go through ups and downs on their train trip. I had many laugh out loud moments with Princess one of the more memorable characters. Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and Rebecca Raisin for the e-ARC of this book which I received for free.

This is the perfect book for anyone who wants a little cozy escape to the comforts of the Christmas season. The scenes were vividly depicted and made me feel like I was right there with Aubrey and the other characters!

The perfect escape of a warm and cozy adventure. Everything my wanderlust heart desires. I couldn’t ask for a better dreamlike read that captures all the best parts with a side of awkward. The characters are endearing, quirky and fun. I can’t image any more of a romantic Christmas holiday than to travel by train to Christmas markets.

❄️ I've been reading Rebecca Raisin's books for years, like literally over 10 years!! She never fails to serve up a delightful romantic read with a beautiful setting!

🚈 I, for one, very much now need to embark on the Winter Wonderland Express. I've always thought the idea of being on a cozy train through the night would be fun & well, if you make it festive, then that automatically 10 times more fun!!

❄️ I loved all the places Aubrey visited & reading about the Christmas markets. It's making me very excited for the 'ber' months. Everything was so descriptive & made me feel like I was there.

🚈 The friendships in the book were wonderful to read. I loved the connections Aubrey made with the group on the train. It was so special.

❄️ Obviously, the romance was lovely, too. Jasper was dreamy and sweet. I enjoyed watching his & Aubrey's relationship blossom.

🚈 If you're looking for a cozy, easy to sink your teeth into, romantic read, then this will be perfect. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely looooved this book! It was such a cosy, feel good book which is what I was searching for in this summer heat (bleh). I loved the FMC and the storyline. I would've loved a bit more exploration in the different cities Aubrey visited, but the other characters and gossip made up for it.

I, too, now want to go on the winter wonderland express!

This book was a fun, cosy read with a lot of loveable characters. I did find it a bit hard to suspend my disbelief at the pace of the romance in the novel, however, and I would have liked to have more time spent on exploring the cities and the Christmassy activities in each place the train visited.
Overall though, I enjoyed reading this book and it definitely gives a Hallmark channel movie vibe.

I'm now wanting to go on a winter wonderland express train ride. This train sounded so idyllic, serene, the rooms sound atunning and the attention to detail was second to none.

Rebecca's books never fail to make me smile and have me wanting to go galavanting all over the world.

I definitely have caught the travelling and exploring bug this year and this book has just added fuel to the fire.

Being stood up at the alter, Aubrey decided she wouldn't let their planned honeymoon adventure go to waste.
Aubrey embarked on a Christmas train ride to Lapland. She met a mixture of people who deemed themselves unlucky in love..
This group of people became firm friends and they made magical memories.
Could the bond between Aubrey and Jasper be real?
A fun-filled, quick easy read.

I loved this cozy, Christmasy romance. After Aubrey's fiancé stands her up at the altar, she tries to figure out her next steps. Their honeymoon was going to be a luxury train trip through Europe's Christmas markets, so she decides to go on it anyway. There, she runs into a group of singles who call themselves the Unlucky in Love club. My favorite was Princess, and I also loved her sister, who was fiercely protective of her. As they traveled throughout Europe, the friends bonded and explored the different Christmas markets and enjoyed their time on the train, ending up in an igloo to see the Northern lights.

Thanks to @boldwoodbooks, @netgalley, and the author for this arc.

Aubrey is jilted at the altar but she doesn’t want her exclusive Christmas train ride through all the Christmas markets in Europe to go to waste, so she embarks on her honeymoon alone where she meets a ragtag group of misfits aboard the train. This was billed as a trip through Christmas markets and Christmas destinations throughout Europe. Although the author touched on these excursions, it was just barely. I was left wanting so much more of the Christmas feeling. This was more a character study of all the passengers aboard the train and there were many. I couldn’t get a good purchase on any one character and therefore didn’t relate to any of them. This would probably make for a very good Hallmark movie because it was very conversational in its writing. For me, it didn’t hit on all the Christmas aspects that I needed it to.

As a fan of the author I couldn’t wait to dive into this one. It is a Xmas book, but I read it while on a cruise in June, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The characters are all written really well, I love how their stories intertwine with each other. My favourite has to be Princess. She is who I want to be like when I’m her age! Fearless and living life.

A brilliant read, perfect for cosy winter evenings, or indeed hot summer days:

Huge thanks to the publisher, author and Netgalley for providing a copy.

The story follows Aubrey as she is jilted at the alter and decides to take herself on her luxury honeymoon aboard the Winter Wonderland Express.
The book was a funny, sweet journey of discovery of why we fall in love and why we don't.
It had laugh out loud moments and the characters were truely lovable, my favourite being Princess.
Half romance, half travel guide I really felt like I was travelling along with characters, the writing about the places they visited was so descriptive I could've been there.
A feel good read for Christmas. ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

What a wonderfully lovely tale this is!
Firstly the beautiful cover, how perfect is that?

When Aubrey is deserted by her fiancé, on their wedding day, she decides to go off on their honeymoon alone. A train ride through many European cities, all dressed to their finest in Christmas apparel, the perfect romantic trip!!
On board she meets others who are also single for various reasons and begins to make friendships that could last a lifetime, despite a hilarious misunderstanding shall we call it!

I love the writing style of this one, the easy banter between Aubrey and her sister and the humour that runs throughout the book. There’s clearly been a lot of research put into all the different stops on this train, all the different things each country has to offer. Everything is described so well that you feel you are walking among the tourists, enjoying all the festive treats.

The characters are all written so well and you get to know them all throughout the story. Princess will definitely be a favourite for many, she’s witty, she’s stern, she gets what she wants, but she is a brilliant friend, she will be there whether you think you need her or not, but we may just get to see her sensitive side too.

Over all a fantastic wintery tale, of loss, of love, of new found friends, of opening your heart to the possibilities that lie ahead.

I loved the ending so much, there is definitely a sequel to be had to this one, so many adventures to be told!

Thank you Rebecca and Boldwood for the opportunity to read this wonderful book.

My first book by Rebecca Raisin and what a cozy escape!

The pretty cover caught my attention first but I couldn't pass up a book about a holiday romance onboard a special holiday train with stops across the most beautiful European Christmas markets in Paris, Bruges, Copenhagen, and Lapland. Although this book primarily follows the journey of Aubrey—who embarks on a solo honeymoon after being jilted at the altar—the heroine of this story was most definitely Princess (who'll waste no time in telling you that it's not just a name but a way of life).

There isn't strictly anything unique about a travel romance involving a bunch of single passengers making friends, enjoying a well-deserved vacation onboard a luxury snow train, and learning to open their hearts to the possibility of love yet again—but the story did leave me feeling happy for the characters and in a jolly hopeful mood for all the adventures that may yet be waiting around the corner, and for that, I'll give this book a 4.

Although I did enjoying reading this book, this might be one of those rare books that'll work even better as a movie—I'm positive that this would make a dreamy Hallmark holiday movie.

I thank Boldwood Books, Rebecca Raisin, and Netgalley for sending me a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this newest book by Rebecca Raisin, not only is it a festive one (which will always win in my eyes) it has the perfect amount of romance and comedy making it the definition of RomCom

The story is based around a woman called Aubrey who is left at the alter on her wedding day, she was really looking forward to the honeymoon she'd booked so decided to still go ahead with it on her own, I mean why wouldn't you, a festive themed train stopping at all the best christmas towns and markets and ending in lapland, literally would be a dream holiday! While shes boarding shes asked where her new husband is and not wanting to answer loads of questions about why she's there alone she pretends her new husband passed away, this story then grows so many variations its fabulous. While on the Winter Wonderland Express she meets an amazing group of singletons and they become the unlucky in love group, within this group is the incredible Princess and also the very handsome Jasper who Aubrey falls for almost immediately, as with all good romcoms there's the suspense of when will they admit their feelings together as well as the journey getting to that point and this journey will not disappoint.

My favourite character in this book had to be Princess, she is just amazing and I would adore having a friend like her, I'm really hoping there will be a second edition to this story with the summer cruise as that would be a 100% must buy for me and it would be fabulous to see how the characters have grown and changed over the months.

If you want a festive read which will really get you into the spirit of Christmas (yes even in July!) Then you must read this one

Wow — another charming, heartwarming read from Rebecca Raisin! Every book of hers has been a winner for me, but Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express might just be my favorite yet. It’s a romantic comedy, but there’s so much more here — real wisdom about heartbreak, friendship, and finding joy again, all wrapped in witty banter and a dreamy holiday setting.

From the moment I met Aubrey — left at the altar but determined to take her luxury honeymoon train trip solo — I felt so much admiration (and a little envy!). This train ride through Europe’s magical Christmas markets — Paris, Stockholm, Lapland under the Northern Lights — is pure escapism. Serious FOMO on my end!

Onboard, Aubrey falls in with a quirky group of fellow travelers who call themselves The Unlucky in Love Travel Club. Their warmth and advice made me smile and nod along more than once. And of course, there’s Jasper — a travel journalist with his own bruised heart. Their gentle, slow-burn romance is exactly my kind of love story.

This book is cozy, funny, hopeful, and full of the best kind of holiday magic. It’s about choosing joy when life doesn’t go to plan and letting people in, even when you feel broken. I turned the last page with that fluttery, contented ache only the best romances leave behind.

4 twinkling, snow-dusted stars.
Thanks so much to Rebecca Raisin, Boldwood Books, and NetGalley for the ARC — I’ll be revisiting this one anytime I need a cozy escape.
