5 stars! Thank you Net galley and Amazon Uk for letting me read this.
Pregnant Dionne and her husband Christian are looking to move into a larger house with their 5-year-old son Kai before the birth of their daughter. Christian wants to buy in a new estate that the realtor is pressing as an amazing opportunity to get in while they can. Dionne (Di) has reservations about the house right away. It isn't until they move in and Di finds a hidden note warning them of danger that she realizes they made a terrible decision. Christian thinks it's a joke and no big deal. Di is trying to believe it until she meets Cesar, the owner of the estate. Are Di's hormones to blame, or did something horrible happen inside their brand new home?
Daniel Hurst wrote another great thriller that is prefect to read on the beach or on your patio this summer! This had me saying one more chapter every time I had to stop reading. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next!

This book begin with a slow pace, slowly luring in the reader. Soon enough, you are deeply invested in the book and turning with a fast pace the pages. I ended up reading late at night. I loved the turning twist of events at the end. I was definitely not expecting that! Daniel Hurst is my go-to author whenever I need a good psychological thriller book.

I enjoyed this book. It kept me guessing and I was not expecting some of the twists and turns. The character development was good and the relationships built throughout the story.

I enjoyed this book, it kept me guessing and was a page turner from the first page. I found myself staying ip extra late to finish because I wanted to read just one more chapter.

An entertaining thriller, very well written, the words vividly describing the details.
The only peculiar part was the relationship between Di and her parents, I just can't imagine a daughter or parents giving up on one another, and even losing trust in each other that way!
Overall, it is a story worth reading till the last page.

Daniel Hurst delivers a book with twists and turns that will keep you reading until really late at night. While this is not my favorite Daniel Hurst book I did enjoy reading it. It did keep me guessing.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookatoure for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I enjoyed this one! It kept me guessing the whole time and I did not see the ending coming.. I was very invested in the characters. Would definitely recommend

Another addictive thriller from Daniel Hurst! The storyline was gripping from the very first chapter, full of tension and twists that kept me guessing. I loved the way the suspense built and how the secrets slowly came to light — it was one of those books I didn’t want to put down.
Fast-paced, entertaining, and cleverly written — a must-read if you enjoy domestic thrillers with plenty of surprises.

I have only read another book by this author and I enjoyed his writing style. This one did not disappoint. Cannnot wait to read all his other books. I really enjoyed this book. Not too many characters were you have a hard time keeping track, but enough that it adds twists & turns. Kept me guessing until the end. Did not expect the ending.

A fun and unique thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire ride. This was one where I really didn’t know what was going to happen next!

This was a page turning rollercoaster ride of a book. It starts off a little slowly, but when it starts to ramp up it really becomes exciting and unable to put down.
In this book we meet Di and Christian, and their son Kai. Di is expecting their second child, and so with their expanding family they are looking for a bigger place. As they are under a bit of a time crunch they move into a brand new, never been lived in home within a new neighbourhood that is being constructed, But Di is feeling very uneasy about the place. The man who is responsible for the new neighbourhood is a bit creepy, and the neighbours seem to be a bit strange. Then Di finds a note that says that they are not the first people to live in this house. Now she is on a mission to find out more about this couple. But who can she trust? So many people around her are acting strangely, and when that starts to include her husband she has much to be fearful off. What is the truth about this new housing neighbourhood?
If you are a fan of books with lots of twists and turns then this is the book for you.

I usually enjoy Daniel Hurst's books, however this one fell very flat for me. I powered through it but I was just not interested.
This lacklustre story centers around Anne couple who move into a new build estate and the wife discovers a note which warns them about something having happened to the couple who lived in the house before. considering they are supposed to be the first who live there, alarm bells ring and the wife goes on a mission to find the truth.
The truth is that the plot is weak. The wife is too obsessed over what seems trivial really. Yes she ultimately discovers 'something' but the reasons behind it all are so weak it's almost laughable, that anyone would go to the extreme lengths because of 'that'.
An easy read and passes the time, however I'm sure I will quickly forget all about this book relatively quickly unfortunately.
Daniel Hurst has much better books than this one.
Many thanks to Bookouture who provided me a copy of the book for review via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Daniel Hurst has done it again! This book is full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end. The book focuses on the stressors of life including moving and pregnancy, combined with mysterious happenings.

Thank you for sending me this arc.
3.5 stars!
I’ve read a couple of Daniel Hurst books before & this has by far been my favourite. I loved the premise of this book & I really did enjoy how it all played out.

It was phenomenal love the domestic drama in this book , the characters development was amazing I love how the ending was written so beautifully it made me feel like a child! 5/5 best thriller

A young family moves into a new subdivision in what's supposed to be a new build when Di the wife suspects they aren't actually the first ones to live there.. not to mention something awful may have happened there.
The first 60% of the book I found the MFC to be absolutely insufferable. The last 40% I still found herself insufferable but was also distracted by the worlds wildest series of twists imaginable. The twists saved this book for me. To be completely frank, most of the book I couldn't understand why this woman cared if someone lived in the house prior or if something bad happened to them or why she was so hell bent on getting to the bottom of this mystery.
Thank you, Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Solid read. This was my first from this author. I enjoyed it being fast paced and pretty easy to get into. I just didn’t love the main character. I will definitely be checking out the authors other titles!

Daniel Hurst has come up with another cracking twisty plot!
Well into her pregnancy, Dionne’s husband persuades her to move house to a newly built housing estate. Dionne instantly has her doubts about the property but with her due date approaching she gives in to the pressure and finds herself reluctantly moving in. Despite this being a new development Dionne discovers a note alluding to the demise of the couple who lived there before. This sets Dionne off on some amateur sleuthing that leads her into a whole manor of distressing discoveries!
As we’d expect from this author, this is another page turner with plot twists and fantastic storytelling.
My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

Daniel Hurst's The Couple Before Us is the kind of book you pick up thinking you'll just read a chapter or two... and suddenly it's midnight, the tea's gone cold, and you're still turning pages with your heart in your throat.
One of Hurst's strengths is how human his characters feel. Dionne's vulnerability and determination make her more than just a thriller heroine - you can feel her heart race, her doubts grow, and her mind spiral. Christian's charm, laced with something you can't quite name, keeps you deliciously on edge.
It's addictive, immersive, and just unsettling enough to make you check your own locks before bed. Hurst proves once again that he knows hoe to keep readers guessing until the very last page - and even then, you might still be wondering if you really know the whole story. If you want a thriller that blends everyday realism with pulse-pounding suspense, The Couple Before Us should be the very top of your reading list. Just don't expect to get mush sleep once you start.

Secrets, lies, and shifting loyalties—this is the kind of domestic thriller you’ll devour in one sitting.
The Couple Between Us is a fast-paced, twisty read with short, snappy chapters that keep the tension simmering. The premise—two couples, secrets, and blurred lines—had me hooked right away, and I enjoyed the cat-and-mouse feel as the plot unfolded.
That said, some of the twists were a bit predictable, and a few character choices felt more convenient for the plot than believable. Still, the pacing and drama kept me engaged, and I wanted to see exactly how it would all shake out.
If you’re looking for a quick, bingeable thriller with plenty of tension and just the right amount of drama, this one will scratch that itch.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
