I felt that the point of the book was to redirect my fears from those things that are not scientifically realistic and hence not actionable to those that are realistic and actionable. I found the writing engaging, with the authors using humour to make their points. I liked the personal anecdotes and the footnotes, the latter being where a lot of the humour is found. Posing many interesting questions, and providing answers to them, Fear Knot is a fun investigation of why we fear what we fear.
Backed by scientific evidence, the authors take us on an eye-opening journey of discrepancies, irrationalities, inconsistencies and the natural.
This is an accessible read that can appeal equally to the general reader and the scholars of neuroscience and psychology.
