Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Paisley Hope has once again completely stolen my heart with Freeing the Wild. This series continues to be an absolute favourite of mine, and with each new release, Paisley cements her place as an auto-buy author on my shelf. I honestly adore this world she’s created, and Freeing the Wild is a shining example of her ability to blend heart-warming romance with deeply emotional, real-life issues.
Cassie and Holden's story was everything I hoped it would be. Watching them slowly learn to trust one another, despite the very different but equally painful trauma they’ve each endured, was so moving. Their relationship felt incredibly authentic, layered with patience, vulnerability, and quiet strength. Paisley does a brilliant job exploring heavy themes like PTSD and anxiety with sensitivity and depth, never glossing over the reality of healing but also showing the beauty in connection and support.
One of the standout aspects of this series for me has always been the Ashby/Silver Pines family. They’re warm, fiercely loyal, and full of heart, it’s impossible not to wish I could be part of their world. Their presence in the story adds a sense of belonging and comfort that I absolutely adore. Not to mention the banter they all have with each other!
That said, I did struggle with one part of the narrative: how quickly Holden forgave his father. After years of trauma and neglect, it felt far too neat and tidy for everything to be resolved in just one conversation. I would have appreciated a bit more emotional unpacking there to make it feel more realistic and earned. The only other downside is that Holden is Blonde (LOL).
Even so, this book only deepened my love for the series, and I cannot wait to dive into the next instalment, especially as it features the couple I’ve been most excited to read about!
Paisley Hope never disappoints, and I know I’m in for another unforgettable journey.

Well wow.. Paisley Hope really has kick started my cowboy obsession😍
The writing and stories throughout this series has just been so addictive and effortless!
I just didn’t want this book to end🤭 Haden and Cassie are such a wholesome couple and my definition of love at first sight.
I feel like all of her books just captivate me🫶🏻 I love & adore the support, friendships and love in these books!
Haden and Cassie story was literally perfect, I love that they always supported each other dreams and supporting each other through the traumas!
Literally this series had become one of my comfort series🫶🏻🫶🏻

"Tell me something real"
Paisley Hope has fast become one of my favourite authors ... I was so excited for this book!!!
I was very lucky to be able to read this book before the release date.
I absolutely loved it! Haden and Cassie's story is so cute! This book had me laughing, swooning, and crying like a baby!

Thankyou so much for the arc! Silver pines is my favourite cowboy romance series and the fourth installment did not disappoint - I would go as far as saying my favourite one yet of the series. Paisley Hope creates the most compelling addictive characters and I loved reading both Cassie and Hayden’s perspectives. I loved checking back in with our favourites from previous books as well. The setting of silver pines ranch is cosy and beautiful and just so feel good. I had such a good time reading this - the perfect mix of emotion, spice and humour - 4.5 stars

I was so excited to be accepted for this ARC because Paisley Hope is hands down my favourite cowboy romance author — and Freeing the Wild absolutely delivered!
Returning to Silver Pines Ranch felt like coming home. I adore these characters, and Cassie and Haden’s story had me smiling, swooning, and tearing up more than once. Their chemistry was beautiful — tender and sizzling in all the right ways — and the balance between emotional healing and romance was spot on.
Paisley has such a gift for writing cozy, heartfelt small-town romances with just the right amount of depth, charm, and spice. This one might be my favourite in the series yet, and I already can’t wait to have the physical copy on my shelf in November.
Tropes I Loved:
🤠 Small town romance
🔥 Second chance / old flame rekindled
🎤 Opposites attract (country star x cowboy)
🏡 Forced proximity
💞 Found family & grief healing
🌿 Slow burn with spice
💘 A satisfying HEA

A hot cowboy who reads romance novels and cheers her on no matter what and a country singer who learns to choose herself? Spectacular, give me 14 of them right now.

Freeing the Wild is the fourth book in the Silver Pines series by Paisley Hope. If you like your romance stories with a side-order of cowboys then be sure to check this out!
Having read the previous books in the series it was good to head back to the Silver Pines ranch. By now the characters feel familiar and it was fun to explore the next budding relationship.
This time around it’s getting to know Cassie Spencer, a musician who retreats to Kentucky to escape the spotlight. She comes to spend some time on the ranch where her sister and mother are now living. What she doesn’t expect to find, however, is the handsome cowboy who she had a brief fling with some time before. But being determined to keep her distance from heartthrob Haden is going to be harder than she thought, especially since she’s staying in the cabin next door to his.
As with the previous titles in this series, the friendships and family relationships are well-crafted in this book, and there is a lot of spice in this forbidden romance story.
3.5 stars

This book had me kicking my feet, giggling and then tearing up a moment later!
I thought Cole Ashby was my top Paisley Hope man BUT Haden Westbrook just skyrocketed into the top spot ❤️🔥 I will forever me a sucker for a cowboy romance but this book in particular covered a lot of mental health struggles that I could relate to making Cassie a FMC that will stick with me for a while.
The idea of having a safe place to land has always been something that draws me in and this couple was the epitome of that - Haden gave Cassie all that she needed to just breath and that was heartwarming.
If this book even crosses your radar, I highly suggest popping it on pre-order now!

Haden Westbrook... what a fine man you are!
Paisley Hope obviously laces her books (and her fictional men) with something cos book 4 in The Silver Pines series was an easy 5 star read for me!
This is the kind of book you stay up to 3am reading, I laughed, I cried and I kicked my feet and squealed at the delicious spice!
Haden has officially become my number 1 book boyfriend at the moment!
This book follows music star Cassie just as a terrible incident strikes on stage forcing her to return to her family in Silver Pines seeking some solace and familiarity.
After spending just one night in his truck, Cassie turns rancher Hadens world upside down with their sizzling chemistry as the both realise that one night just isn't enough.
What's the problem i hear you ask? The problem is Cassie is only in Silver Pines temporarily and is due back on tour, can Haden convince her to stay?
Genuinely don't have a bad word to say about this book other than I'm gutted it's finished!
So grateful to receive a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest feedback which has been left voluntarily. Thank you to Paisley Hope, Netgalley and Random House.

I am a HUGE Paisley Hope fan, the Silver Pines series is great fun and incredibly smutty.
In Freeing the Wild, you know what you're going to get and boy does she deliver.
5 stars,

My FAVOURITE of the series so far; beautifully written as always, with two characters who felt truly connected. A great continuation of the series and plenty of depth, a great plot, the right amount of spice and just generally brilliant.

thankyou to NetGalley and the author for access to the ARC in exchange for an honest review. ♡
hollllllllllllly hells. the sweetness and the spice were so well mixed. every time i had to put the book down, i was frustrated, i just wanted more. i think i fell in love, too. paisley hope is easily one of my favourite writers these days.
if you like elsie silver, lyla sage, bailey hannah etc - this one is defo up your alley.

Freeing the Wild was a lot of fun! I enjoyed the story, but I couldn't stand how entitled and unnecessarily mean Cassie was. I knew I wouldn't like her from the first chapter when she put herself and the horse in danger, and when Haden called her out, she lashed out and didn't even apologise!
The story was interesting, but I was a bit lost, having not read the previous books, as there was no explanation of who the side characters were. There were some cute moments between Cassie and Haden.
In general, this book was fun but nothing special.

Well, I thought I’d struggle to fall in love with a couple like I did with Ginger and Cole, but I was wrong!
Cassie and Haden are absolute perfection, the perfect blend of sweet and spice - like caramel corn and Spicy sauce I guess! 😉
The pacing of this book was perfection, from the initial meeting, and *ahem* truck date *wink*, to Cassie’s return to the ranch, the build was phenomenal.
There’s devastation and elation in equal amounts, Cassie experiences a tragic and painful situation that no performer would ever want to be put in, with an awful manager who practically forces her to continue her commitments and sing again, even though she’s clearly struggling with PTSD was so so hard to read.
I felt like I held my breath until Cassie fired Dex and hired Fiona!
I absolutely adored that Cassie didn’t “give up her life in the spotlight to settle for a ranch hand”, she was able to live her dream, and fall in love along the way.
This is probably my favourite in the Silver Pines series, I cannot wait for Asher and Olivia’s book,

Okay, someone come collect me because I am NOT okay after finishing this book 😭💫 I was giggling, crying, kicking my feet, and full-on hugging my Kindle like it was Haden himself. Paisley has truly outdone herself — this is hands down my favourite book of hers yet.
Cassie and Haden? Perfection. They stole my heart. The chemistry was off the charts — that slow burn kind of tension where you know it’s just a matter of time before someone cracks. And when they do? Whew. The spice? Delicious. The yearning? Devastating. The banter? Chef’s kiss.
I adored Cassie’s growth — from heartbroken and lost to fierce and free — and Haden? He’s the kind of cowboy you don’t recover from. Rugged, kind, protective, and just soft in all the right ways. Their connection felt so real, and watching them slowly fall for each other in the rolling hills of Kentucky was honestly magic.
This was more than a “small town romance.” It was about healing, chasing dreams, letting someone in, and realizing that love sometimes finds you where you least expect it — in a horse barn, on a mountaintop, or around a bonfire with someone who sees all of you.
If you’re into:
✔️ Cowboy charmers with soft hearts
✔️ Big dreams, bigger emotions
✔️ Banter that turns into longing stares
✔️ That undeniable spark
Then run (don’t walk) to read this one. It’s a one-hit wonder turned forever love, and I’m still not over it. 🤠💛🎶

When I downloaded this it went straight to the top of my TBR list and I think this is my favourite Silver Pines book so far 😍
I absolutely adore Paisley Hope's writing and I have the biggest soft spot for MMC Haden. I loved the banter between him and FMC Cassie coupled with how incredibly sweet he is especially with the rescue horses.
I am thought that Cassie's struggles with anxiety and panic attacks were really well written and showed such good representation of mental health issues.
As per usual I am 100% here for the dual POV and the hot hot spice 🔥 equal parts absolutely can't wait for book 5 and not ready for the series to be over.
Thank you Random House & Netgalley for the ARC!

If you loved Elsie Silver and Lyla Sage, Paisley Hope is definitely for you. Loved the country singer x rancher dynamic. I personally have not read her other books in this interconnected standalone series, however this was not a problem - I was able to jump right into this book and understand the characters dynamics/relationships. If you're looking for a fun bit of escapism, I would recommend this one!

A huge thank you to NetGalley, Random House UK and author Paisley Hope for providing me with the eARC of “Freeing the Wild”, in exchange for my honest review.
Publication date: 6th November 2025
4th book in the Silver Pines Ranch series. This can be read as a standalone, which I did, but I feel like it would have been good to read the rest of the series first, just to know the relationships between all of the characters. I will be going back and reading the rest of these books.
The novel starts with sassy Cassie not listening to advice and ending up in the arms of a grumpy Haden. What should have been just a one night stand becomes so much more after Cassie has to take a break from her music career return to the ranch.
Haden is what you would expect from a cowboy romance but with a little more depth, which I really appreciated. Haden seems like a grump when first introduced in the book, but once you learn move about his background and who he is and what he wants from his life, you will see there is so much more to him. I love it when a MMC has more to his personality than being obsessed with the FMC.
As for Cassie, she was the best character in this book. She starts out as this little feisty popstar, but after a tragedy occurs, and she has to move back to the ranch, you watch her grow so much more.
If you have worked your way through all of the Elsie Silver and are needing something to cure your book hangover, I would recommend this book and series.

I love an interconnected stand-alone series. But better yet, I especially love it if it’s about cowboys. I am very attached to the Silver Pines series, Paisley Hope has created such a wholesome little community in these books. I have absolutely adored reading everyone’s love story.
Haden and Cassie were so cute. I absolutely loved their banter, and Cassie was so sassy. The denial from the two of them about their very obvious feelings for each other was torturous- it was such an emotional slow burn.
While I always love the relationships, the family dynamics also always get me in this series. I swear watching Haden struggle with his relationship with his father and the connection he has with Penny is so tender and emotional.
If you love cowboys, music, a community who ALWAYS shows up for each other and a caramel corn- I’d highly recommend this book!

Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better I am proven so wrong!!
This book was absolutely perfect!
Haden and Cassie’s story was just so beautiful to read, I absolutely loved Haden and how caring and patient he was and loved the portrayal of anxiety/panic attacks from Cassie and the way she handled herself and worked to overcome it!
I can’t wait for everyone to be able to experience this story!! Thank you NetGalley and Paisley Hope for the chance to read this eARC! It was amazing
