Freeing the wild
Thank you for an ARC of this book. I absolutely love the Silver Pine series and adored Cassie and Haden’s story.
When rising country star Cassie Spencer’s tour is derailed by tragedy, she escapes to her hometown in rural Kentucky for a break from fame. There, she reconnects with Haden Westbrook, a rugged rancher focused on his quiet life and rescue horses. Their past—a one-time passionate encounter—quickly resurfaces as undeniable sparks fly again. What began as a temporary visit soon turns into something deeper. But can Haden convince Cassie to choose love and stay for good?
So much emotion, tension and swoony cowboy romance. Solid 4/5 for me. I cannot wait to read Chasing the Fire.

I completely devoured this in one sitting 😬😬 it was the perfect ending to round out this series and I loved and it and also super sad this series is over

How misleading can a book blurb really be? Perhaps it's my fault, but I was expecting a more 'grounded' story akin to something like a budding young music artist's journey, visiting her sister's ranch, going horse riding, perhaps some congenial hearty meals around a rustic farm table with family and the ranch workers. Maybe trips to a dive bar, some line dancing and the protagonist singing and/or writing songs. Yes, I thought there would be some romance too, but I'd hoped/expected it to be a little more subtle or genteel. Instead, it's outright cliché-ridden chick-lit with silly butt-clenching sentences like, "His gaze holds mine and I breathe in his delicious scent. I've never seen eyes like his; they just so blue." Really!! No, to be honest, I did not expect this kind of soppy narrative from the book's description.
Maybe some readers enjoy this kind of thing .... I hope they do and genuinely wish them well, but this novel just isn't for me. Sorry!!
Many thanks to the publishers and to Netgalley for the ARC.

ARC REVIEW
urgh, Paisley Hope has done it again.
Favourite of the series so far. 5 stars.
Cassie and Haden’s story is perfect, I was giggling and kicking my feet all the way through
Haden really took me by surprise. I didn’t know where this story was going but I loved that! Ending was perfect, I cried. I have no complaints about this book.
Tropes:
- he’s her muse
- anxiety and mental health rep
- jealous MMC
- he his DOWN BAD for her
- he washes her hair 🥹
Now bring on Chasing the Fire 🔥😍

౨ৎ┊initial thoughts.
okay, this is THE one. it is by far the best book that paisley hope has written so far in this series! i could not put this book down at all— literally read it in one sitting (let’s pretend it isn’t almost 6am here 🤭).
౨ৎ┊cassie spencer.
turns out i love me some popstar FMCs, and ohmygod did cassie not disappoint me. at the start of the book, this girl had me crying for her. then i began rooting for her, in her recovery and in her pursuing her dreams. now, cassie is a people pleaser so it did get a tad annoying when she went back on the road but my god did it make all the more satisfying when she finally chased her dreams. that little performance at the end too? ATE IT UP!!!! i don’t typically care for wedding & kids scenes in epilogues but my god did i LOVE IT for this one 🥲
౨ৎ┊haden westbrook.
this man did not truly understand the impact he had on cassie and it’s why i love him. he was himself, and their relationship blossomed organically and it changed her world!!! HE 😭 WAITED 😭 FOR 😭 HER 😭 when she went back on the road— like damn are you after my own heart?! his backstory broke my heart, but i loved how he got everything he wanted because this man DESERVED it! now, i didn’t like/care much for his father and usually it stays that way even if they end up fixing their relationship— i’m either apathetic or annoyed— but this time i was so damn happy FOR haden, that he finally got the father he deserved. forgot cassie, the affect this man had on me should be studied.

As a huge country music fan I was so excited to see that Cassie was a successful singer. What I loved so much about this book was how it highlighted the challenges in the industry.
Seeing how Cassie navigated her love of music and her trouble in the spotlight was beautiful and I adored seeing her at the ranch getting her well deserved break!
She is so full of life and love, the journey of her getting her spark back was a highlight for me.
Haden is everything you want in a rancher! He is confident, capable and the perfect match for Cassie! I really enjoyed seeing his vulnerability in this book and the impact that Cassie had on him. Throw in that he’s volunteering at a rehabilitation center for animals and my heart was gone 💗
The relationship between these two was so so lovely to read. I enjoyed that it spanned across a good few months and you really got to see their development both together and individually.
I cannot wait for the next book 💕

💚 Freeing the Wild 💚
‘If life gives you the chance for a one-night stand with a hot cowboy, take it, write a song about it, and make sure you use only the best notes, the ones that turn a single night into forever.’
Paisley is the Princess of hopeful and healing storytelling. I’ll never not love these gorgeous characters and the wholesome yet spiciness of Silver Pines 😍
These books are: Fresh, flirty and fuckable 😮💨😉🌶️
Cassie. My music darling you have my whole heart.
Music is a particular love language of mine and the way that Paisley wove song telling and music into her story and her people was everything ♥️
Hayden is an utter honey 🍯 bear with Cowboy Charisma and the ways he’s there for Cassie - for the big ones and small ones - made me fall like a deck of cards.
This man made the mould and I’ll swoon for him any day.
Themes are: Bluegrass Singer x Alpha Cinnamon Dude, One Night in a Truck, He’s her Muse, Sat on her Ass Meet Cute, Neighbour Proximity, Horse Therapy, Snowed In and All the Sass

🎶 Safe Spaces
🎶 Strip Uno
🎶 ‘Raised on a Song.’
🎶 “Come with me, Cowboy.”
🎶 “Fuck grace.”
🎶 “Tell me something real.”
🎶 Caramel Corn 🌽 (IYKYK)
I will never stop raving about Paisley’s writing - it’s beautiful and real and authentic. This book is the perfect mix of Nashville meets wholesome Yellowstone meets Coyote Ugly with all the feels 🩷
Free the Wild is sweet and sassy with such a heart and the snap and crackle chemistry that I love so much about this book and the entire series that will stay with me, always, like Silver Pines 💚🔥😏🫡
Thank you again to Paisley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book, I truly loved it!
Call out moments (without spoilers) are:
‘Every time I write a song that means something to me and people enjoy it, it reminds me of where it all began. Of that feeling of peace. That feeling of safety.’
“This ain’t your first rodeo, baby. You know you have to breathe. Fuck, I’m not gonna let you make me come before I even get all the way inside you.”
“One more night …”
I devoured this book and it filled my heart. I cannot wait for others to read it and fall in love with this world like I did!
💚🎶💚🎶💚

I loved this book...tbh I love the whole series so far...there's something about the characters that are just so likeable.
Hayden and Cassie were no different both characters were written so well and loved the banter. This series is always a go to for me and Paisley writes so well and the books just keep getting better and better.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this book. Honestly give it a go..start from the first book and just binge then as you won't regret it.

What Paisley promises, she delivers! Going back to Silver Pines Ranch for the fourth time honestly feels like returning to my fictional home.
The banter between Hayden and Cassie had me smirking the whole way through. Hayden is honestly the perfect fictional cowboy boyfriend & I would do anything (and I mean anything) to be able to attend Sangria Sundays with this girl gang.
As always, Paisley did such an incredible job portraying anxiety, panic attacks and the stages one goes through when healing from trauma. It was raw and emotional, but never overwhelming.
𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗦:
* Close proximity
* One night in his truck
* Bluegrass singer X Cowboy
* Anxiety rep
* He’s her muse

✨Freeing the Wild ✨by Paisley Hope
Freeing the Wild is the fourth book in The Silver Pines series, and it’s another absolute winner from Paisley Hope. I loved the slow-burn romance between Haden, the rugged ranch hand, and Cassie, the rising country music star — their connection felt natural and deeply heartfelt. The way these two characters found each other right when they needed someone the most made their journey even more satisfying.
Of course, in true Paisley Hope fashion, there are some very spicy scenes that add an extra spark without overshadowing the emotional depth of the story.
If you’re a fan of heartfelt cowboy romance with just the right blend of tenderness, heat, and hope, this one is a must-read!

Paisley and Netgalley, thank you for letting me ARC read this!
I try to take a lesson from every book, and the one I took away from Freeing The Wild is that you NEVER have to live your life for someone else. Follow YOUR dream, don’t settle for someone else’s. You are amazing as you are, let no one tell you otherwise ♥️
I told Paisley this book in the series is my favorite (there’s one more book coming so that might change), because I could feel the pain radiating from the pages. I really hope to find someone like Haden, always putting Cassie first, always being there for her. And the horse sanctuary? That might be a secret dream of mine… I cried, I laughed, I screamed, my heart broke and got stitched back together by this book. Truly a masterpiece 🫶🏻

Freeing the Wild is the first book by Paisley Hope that I've read, but it won't be the last!
I fell in love with Haden and Cassie and felt like I already knew the characters- by the end they felt like family.
A cowboy romance with glimpses of ranch life as you'd expect, alongside an unfolding love story.
I will definitely be reading others in the series, so I can revisit Silver Pines again soon.

Ohmy! What can I say!? I love this series more and more with every single book. Silver Pines has a very special place in my heart and it is in my top two of favorite cowboy romance series!
Cassie and Haden's story is just beautiful. I love the fact that each character stays true to themselves as well as you really being able to watch them grow and pull the best out of eachother. Paisley really knows how to write spice. Her books are mega spicy!! However, it always matches the characters perfectly which I love!
Cassie a beautiful singer/song writer who unfortunately goes through something tragic and that no artist should ever go through. The mental health side of this book was wrote very well and I felt handled beautifully for Cassie. It really helped her character develope. Both characters struggles with outside pressure and what that can do to someone's mental health and I enjoyed seeing them overcome this.
Haden is the perfect swooning cowboy and I just adore him!
Overall I would highly recommend not just this book but the other 3 in the series that comes before it if you haven't read them. I am so excited for the fifth and final book but also not ready to say goodbye to Silver Pines!
Thank you so much to Netgalley, Randomhouse UK, Cornerstone and Paisley Hope for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tropes:
✔️ Cowboy x Country Singer
✔️ Forbidden Romance
✔️ Insta-Love/Love at First Sight
✔️ One Night Stand
✔️ Small Town
✔️ Trauma Bonding
I am beyond grateful to have been lucky enough to receive an arc of Freeing the Wild by Paisley Hope. This is the 4th book within the Silver Pines series and returning to this universe felt like catching up with familiar faces.
Our FMC, Cassie, really stood out to me within this book because of the journey she went on as a character. It was emotional and well developed. Cassie is a 'country singer/musician' which I have to say is not a trope that I particularly enjoy, however, the struggles that she faced along the way and her growth made her compelling. The way the Hope wrote about dealing with heavy topics, such as mental health struggles and the current state of the music industry, was done with such care.
Our MMC, Haden, was likeable and clearly cared for Cassie but for some reason I did have a disconnect with him and I'm not entirely sure why.
The connection between the two of them, for me, leaned towards 'insta-love/love at first sight' which usually isn't my cup of tea. That said, this was definitely one of the better handler versions of that trope that I have read. Their bond did build throughout the course of the story, though I have to admit that I didn't find it quite as believable as the relationships in earlier books within the series.
Overall, Freeing the Wild is a fun and spicy addition to the Silver Pines series. It is an enjoyable read that I would recommend to fans of the genre.
Once again, I am beyond grateful to have been lucky enough to receive an arc of this book. Thank you to Penguin Random House UK, NetGalley and Paisley Hope.

I am loving cosy cowboy romances just now and this was no exception. Cassie and Haden together were perfect this was the perfect balance of romance, spice and emotional healing. I felt Cassies mental health struggles were done really well and how this showed the downside of being in the public eye. I can't wait to return to silver pines for the 5th book.

COWBOY HEAVEN
Book no.4 in the Silver Pines series 📖💚
I was obsessed with Cassie & Hayden from the start.
Has Silver Pines become my new favourite cowboy romance series & Paisley Hope my new favourite author? Yes & YES! 🫶✨️
Hayden is green flag after green flag.. gentle, charming, caring.. not forgetting tall, tattooed & very strong.. oh & the moustache.. I know girls, it's criminal!! 🥵
Cassie is a gorgeous, full of attitude, blonde country singer who has banter for days! I actually couldn't stop thinking of Miss Megan Moroney when I was reading about Cassie 💛
The chemistry between the two of them was fireeee from the start 🔥 Written in the stars! I inhaled their love story!!
Spice.. UNREAL!! Obv! It's Paisley Hope!
I'm obsessed with the sweet family feel in the Silver Pines series.. Paisley brings that close & beautiful family vibe out in her books & it just does it for me. Makes me wanna live on that Ranch so bad!!
🔥 Cowboy x Country Singer

Thank you to Random House UK and NetGalley for the ARC of this book!
Firstly I would like to say that I read the first three books in this series before reading this ARC so I could give an honest review. I love the setting of these books and the small town that they all live in. The characters feel so real and like I know them which feels like an absolute pleasure to read.
I think that this book was definitely one of my favourites of the four (I think that Cole and Ginger hold the spot for my favourite). I very much liked learning more about Haden and his story and personality because we hadn’t really seen much of him before this book. I loveddddd Cassie and I loved the representation of anxiety and how it presents itself.
I really enjoyed how much of the story was about Cassie and Haden with the wider family/friends dotted in because I do love them all so much.
I will say that normally I really really hate insta-love but this was actually done well and didn’t feel like it at all, I think that might be because we had a time jump that it didn’t feel so instant.
I did feel like there needed to be a bit of conflict, it felt very easy which is obviously lovely but it needed a bit more of something to make it a 5 star for me.
I am so so excited for Olivia and Asher’s story and I feel like they set it up perfectly with just enough breadcrumbs to keep us guessing!

Paisley Hope has done it again.
Freeing the Wild pulled at my heartstrings in all the best ways—raw, emotional, and just the right amount of filth (yes, that kind). Paisley has officially earned her spot as my ride or die when it comes to writing strong, sexy male characters who aren’t just brooding for the sake of it—there’s depth, vulnerability, and so much heart behind every move they make.
What truly stands out is how she navigates the aftermath of trauma. The emotional scars, the slow healing, the inner turmoil—it’s all portrayed with compassion and honesty, without ever tipping into melodrama. She manages to explore such heavy subject matter without weighing down the romance. Instead, it enhances it.
The chemistry? Off the charts. The character growth? Felt real. And while it didn’t get a full 5 stars from me (a few pacing issues here and there), this book still left a mark.
I’ll keep showing up for whatever Paisley writes next. She just gets it.

I’m not going to lie, I honestly thought we were getting Olivia and Asher’s story next. I need their story. But we got Haden and Cassie’s instead. And I. Am. So. Happy.
This was honestly just what I needed after a slight reading slump. The devoted cowboy ready to show the woman he loves how much better life is at Silver Pines. You think they’re not going to fall in love and just enjoy the temporary time they had together, but of course, this is a Paisley Hope book, so that’s not going to happen.
I don’t like insta love unless it’s done right, and in this case, it was. It didn’t feel mushy or overdone. It was just right. Reading the clear love they have for each other whilst also trying to fight their own battles was refreshing.
I love that Cassie put herself and decided she wanted to make her choice on her own and without any help. She was such a great character to read. And Haden, you make me want a real life cowboy. It’s not fair.

I am a huge fan of Paisley Hope and this Silver Pines series!
This may be a Silver Pines series but it was definitely Cassie as the main character, it was about her experience and getting over what happened with the support from those in Silver Pines, particularly our MMC - Haden. This celebrates Cassie's healing and need for therapy whilst also leaning towards the spicy cowboy romance so I am all here for that! Paisley Hope continues to write an entertaining and engaging series with a great mix of funny, steamy and romance!
I received this book as an ARC and provide an honest review
