I am living for the cowboy/rancher romance genre right now!
I was so happy to get approved for an ARC of the 4th instalment in the Silver Pines series, and it certainly didn't disappoint.
I've found with most of these ranching series that I often find the story with the "adopted" family member as the main protagonist are usually my favourite, and with 'Freeing the Wild' this was definitely the case. I loved Hayden!

This book tells the story of Haden and Cassie. The main tropes being: “one night only”, snowed in, singer x cowboy, he’s her muse and small town romance. This story is the 4th instalment of the Silver Pines series but can be read as a stand alone. I personally would read “Holding the Reins”, “Training the Heart” and “Riding the High” first as it will set up Haden & Cassie’s story better as Cassie is Ivy’s sister.
I really liked the storyline of Cassie being a famous singer making a name for herself. There was a trauma in her life that lead her back to her family and furthered the bond with Haden. I think this trauma allowed us to see the reality of what it’s like to be famous and how one incident can change your life.
I LOVE Paisley’s writing. Her writing is so captivating and really draws you in to the story. I have read all of her books & none have felt rushed. Her character and setting descriptions are spot on and really make me feel like part of the story.
One thing I love is the spice in Paisley’s novels. It is HOT and STEAMY but fits naturally into the stories. I’d rate this a 4🌶️ level.
I liked that each character gets their own chapters. It’s interesting to view their side of the story & it helps you connect better with each character and what they’re feeling.
This book was definitely a 5⭐️ for me - my most memorable part being the UNO game👀.
I DEVOURED this story and cannot wait for the last instalment in Silver Pines series😭. I would definitely read this book again and I will be recommending to all my followers on my booktok.

5 stars - arc review. I knew from the beginning Haden was gonna be a great book boyfriend. The pure fact he spends his nights talking to Pen keeping her company, true gentleman. However this book has ruined UNO for me as a family game but damn the spice was so good and he washes her hair after which may seem small but this is a micro trope I absolutely love every time.
The way Haden became an outlet for Cassie and how they both grew to trust each other and become a safe space to be themselves was portrayed so well. Easily my favourite book out of the series so far.
Also there is no third act breakup or real conflict just something expected however I think both characters handled the situation well. Hope gave Cassie the time she needed instead of rushing into something with Haden which was handled really well and made the most sense. There was the perfect balance of plot and spice which was something I struggled with in the previous books but I couldn’t have asked for more in this one it was great. I can’t wait to see who the next book will follow I’m hoping for a certain two characters.

4.5 ⭐️
I love a cowboy romance & I have to say with each book this series has got better & better. I really enjoyed the early books, but now, with Freeing the Wild, Paisley Hope has followed a tougher storyline while still embracing the fun side with family & banter, which we've seen in previous books.
Cassie goes on a journey of discovery, not just finding love, but friendship & a sense of self. Haden is obviously swoonworthy & just an all-around good guy. As always, I loved catching up with characters we already know & getting teased the next book.
If cowboy romance is your thing, give this series a shot.

Thank you NetGalley, Paisley Hope and Random House / Cornerstone for providing an eARC in exchange for my honest review - Freeing the Wild publishes November 6th.
I was excited to have an early copy of one of my most anticipated reads, Freeing the Wild is book 4 in the Silver Pines series and I’ve enjoyed the series so far!
Cassie is a country star on tour when she must return home to Silver Pines after a tragedy at her concert. Haden is after a peaceful life on the ranch until Cassie’s return turns his world upside down, months after one night together they’re forced back together in close proximity.
There’s definitely some insta-lust at the beginning, with the book starting with a one night stand, but once Cassie is back in town it’s clear the chemistry runs deeper and it’s slow burn before they end up together which I enjoyed.
Cassie is initially portrayed as a bit of an airhead, but her layers unravel and you learn her vulnerabilities and I enjoyed seeing her personal growth as she processed her grief journey with her therapist and the toxicity of the music industry.
Haden is a true sweetheart, a caring person who strives to look after everyone else before himself. The additions of his scenes with Penny, and the care he had for the rescue horses was a lovely touch.
Together they had great chemistry and banter, but I found my interest dropped off a little after they got together and I felt alot of the rest of the book was spice. I also wish the Dax situation was resolved much quicker, as the repetitiveness got frustrating! It wasn’t my favourite in the series but I still had a great time reading this!
It was really great to be back with the characters we know and love from the previous books and for them to play a big role in this book too. I’m really hoping that the next book is Asher and Olivia!
If you enjoy small town, second chance, forced proximity and found family, I’d recommend this! I’ll be picking up a physical copy on release day (hopefully from the works with matching sprayed edges to the rest of the series!)

When Cassie a country singer/song writer comes to stay with her sister for a short break at Silver Pines ranch she meets Haden who helps out at the ranch but also at a rescue horse centre which he dreams of owning one day.
They are both attracted to each other and end up having a one night stand but Cassie has to get back to touring which she hates and dreams of writing songs for others to perform but her manager is very much against this pushing her into working night after night despite her having anxiety attacks about being on stage.
When a tragedy occurs at one of her concerts Cassie is depressed and having panic attacks so returns to Silver Pines to be with her family
Her and Haden slowly reconnect both realising they have strong feelings for each other but neither able or wanting to give up their work.
This is a lovely romance where we revisit all the characters from the previous books which is great. The chemistry between these two is well written with lots of spice and great humorous dialogue.
A great read with a lovely finale particularly the epilogue I look forward to the next book in this series.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

4.5*
I was so happy to be approved for the ARC of this on NetGalley as I absolutely loved all of the Silver Pines series so far and I was not disappointed, it was fab!
Firstly, the spice in this story was spicing! Paisley Hope does not disappoint with the spicy scenes - even more reason to love her!
The chemistry between Cassie and Haden was amazing and I loved them all the way through. Especially the HEA. I loved that Haden managed to begin to sort through his relationship with his dad.
Some tough scenes written in here with regards to Cassie and the incident that left her traumatised but they were written with such care. Cassie’s recovery and therapy played a key part in her falling back in love with writing and Haden and it made her all the stronger. Haden’s relationship with Penny is also such a sweet aspect of the story - the mean cowboy and the 68 year old lady! 🥹
If you’re a fan of cowboys or a good old fashioned love story, you’ll love this.
I don’t know what I’m going to do when this series ends?! One more book and I am not prepared!

First of all thank you to NetGalley for providing the ARC, absolutely buzzing because of that.
If there is one thing I absolutely love it’s cowboy romances, small town stories and main characters falling in love and growing together! Beautiful story, emotional growing and overall a fantastic good time! Loved it!

Cowboy romances are my guilty pleasure and Freeing the Wild was the perfect example of why! Paisley Hope wrote a fun and engaging book with heartfelt moments and real life hurdles. The characters felt real and the slowburn and the tension were beautifully written, I have to be honest though this book was my least favourite in the Silver Pines series. I still really enjoyed it but it took me longer to get into the story and I connected with Cassie less than the other FMC. That being said I really enjoyed that this book touches on PTSD and therapy. Paisley Hope is still one of my favourite authors and I can't wait to read whatever she writes next
Summary: When rising star Cassie takes a break after a tragedy, sparks fly again with rancher Haden - forcing them to question what’s truly temporary.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC of this book, all thoughts are my own.

Thank you so much for this arc I have loved everyone one of these
Wow this book was amazing g received this an ARC and couldn’t wait to read as I have loved this series so far
This book follows Cassie and Haden just loved there chemistry there romance the perfect cowboy romance another 5 star read can’t wait to read the next book

4 stars ✰
spice level : 3/5 🌶️
⋆˚࿔ as always i really love anything written by paisley hope and this is no exception. while the previous three books were five-star reads for me, this one was a bit less. maybe it's because the music star trope isn’t really my thing so it made the reading experience slightly less enjoyable.
cassie and haden were both enjoyable characters and i really liked their love story. i liked how they met. their first impression of each other wasn’t great but as days went by, their worlds kept colliding and their relationship slowly grew into something more. it felt realistic and natural. my favorite moment was when they got stuck in a house together during a snowstorm. that moment felt perfect for their relationship to grow deeper.
Thank you to Paisley Hope, Random House UK, Cornerstone & Net Galley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Freeing the Wild was my first book in the Silver Pines series—and I’m absolutely hooked! From the moment Cassie Spencer, the brave yet vulnerable country singer, meets rancher Hayden Westbrook, I was swept off my feet. What begins as a sizzling one-night stand blossoms into a gorgeous slow-burn romance that brought me to tears more than once.
Cassie’s struggle with anxiety and trauma moved me deeply. Hayden is her steadfast rock; his unwavering support made me both sob and smile. The cozy charm of Silver Pines Ranch and its tender, genuine moments of care gave me a true sense of “home.”
I laughed, I cried—I couldn’t put the book down. Now I’m desperate to read the other books, because „Freeing the Wild“ is, to me, an outstanding read.
Tropes I loved:
• Small Town Romance
• One-Night Stand → Slow Burn
• Opposites Attract
• “Off-Limits” Attraction
• Forced Proximity
• Found Family
• Healing After Loss & Trauma
• Satisfying HEA
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.
This story made me laugh and cry. It was full of warmth, heart-pounding moments, and genuine emotion.
I love „Freeing the Wild“, and it’s an absolute 5-star book for me.
I didn’t know what to expect and was simply emotionally and positively surprised by Hayden and Cass. 👉🏼👈🏼🥹

This series is one of my favourite cowboy romance series! Cassie and Haden’s story was another top tier read!
Haden is the greenest of green flag right from the beginning. He is everything we want in a cowboy!
Confident, self assured, charming, caring… I could go on and on!
Cassie is an upcoming country star and is completely over-worked by her management. I actually disliked Cassie at the start, her reckless behaviour and the way she ghosted Haden after their first encounter left me feeling even more distaste towards her. However, I am a sucker for a good old healing journey!
Cassie 2.0 was gorgeous! She recognised that she needs to take a break from the music scene and trauma she had been through. I really like that she recognised that Haden was part of her healing journey and let him in!
Cassie and Haden romance was 10/10! And the ending was absolute perfection! Paisley, you have done it again. Another amazing small-town, cowboy romance!

First, I want to thank NetGalley for the arc for this book.
Secondly, I’d like to thank Paisley Hope for bringing us Silver Pines and the amazing ranchers and strong women that come along with it.
I adored this book and the FMC and MMC.
I will gladly purchase any book that Paisley writes

Thanks to netgalley and paisley hope for gifting me this Arc
I have absolutely adored every single book in silver pines series
Each character has its own personality and you will fall in love with them from the beginning. I loved the setting, it was beautiful.
Paisley hope really has magic in her hands that every book she writes gives comfort, heartfelt and so much depth. I cannot wait for the next book

Freeing the Wild is a spicy, emotionally layered cowboy romance that dives deep into themes of healing, self-worth, and choosing your own path. Cassie’s journey—from struggling with anxiety and a stalled music career to becoming a confident, self-assured woman—is compelling and inspiring. Haden, the grumpy yet soft-hearted rancher, is equally well developed, and their chemistry sizzles right off the page. The emotional growth for both characters, paired with the strong female friendships and found family at Silver Pines Ranch, adds a heartwarming depth to the story.
While the spice is intense and plentiful (sometimes almost too much!), the emotional payoff and character development keep the book grounded. A few editing hiccups—like repeated sentence structures and missing words—are noticeable but don’t overshadow the heartfelt storyline. With beautiful glimpses of the Silver Pines setting, a standout cast of side characters, and just the right blend of grit and heart, this installment is a solid continuation of the series. Fans of small-town cowboy romance with therapy talk, family bonds, and healing arcs will definitely enjoy the ride.

Even in book four, we’re still getting to explore Silver Pines and surrounding areas such as Penny Lane. Paisley Hope really has a beautiful way of painting a picture, I think I need a staycation at the ranch! ☺️
I adored Haden right from the off! He’s grouchy and moody but has a softer side underneath, he just wants to be loved and for someone to stick around. His childhood broke my heart, wondering why he was left and his other parent not really caring for his passions and wellbeing. I’m glad we get to see him stand up for himself and the relationship getting a chance for reconciliation.
Cassie really goes on a journey! Trauma, mental health, self worth. She put in the work to get herself better and became an absolute bad bish by the end! She’s an absolute firecracker and I love seeing the little snippets grow bigger and more constant throughout the book!
Seeing the reunion between Cassie, Ivy and Glenda after her redemption was so heartwarming, Glenda really stepped up for both her girls and it was lovely to read about her reconciliation with Cassie. The female support in this book is everything, from the budding friendships with the Hell’s not Angels to Fiona. The girls girls really make this book 🥹💕
Both characters had to have their time apart to get to where they wanted to be in life, Cassie chose herself in her career rather than trying to people please while Haden worked hard consistently and finally got to chase his dreams.
I love the focus on family, it’s so lovely hearing of the whole Ashby clan and the dynamics with the add on Ashby’s🫶🏼
There is A LOT of spice here, while I enjoyed a lot of it. I think I need to pull out the UNO cards👀 Paisley always knows how to make it hot in here, but in this book sometimes it just felt a little too much or repetitive however it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the actually book and storyline.
“You sayin’ my ass has the ability to break your heart?”
“Hottest. Game. Of Uno … ever.”
“People make their own wins. Relying on someone else to win for you isn’t fair.”
“When I met you, I could see the wild in you. The untamed. It was fucking beautiful.”
“But what about freeing the wild in you? No one is gonna do that for you. Only you can do that, Princess. You deserve to be free. And you deserve to follow your dreams.”
“Of course it worked, Cowboy. Caramel corn and your cock are my two greatest downfalls,”

Actual Rating: 3.5 Stars
Freeing The Wild follows rising country singer and Ivy's sister, Cassie Spencer and Haden Westbrook, the head rancher at Silver Pines. After one steamy night together, they never thought that they would see each other again but when Cassie goes through a traumatic experience that has her taking a break on her tour, she founds herself back at Silver Pines. She is determined to keep her distance from Haden but as she's staying in the cabin next door, she's finding it harder than she thought it to be.
As much I wanted to love this book, I felt like something was lacking for me and I think the main cause of that was the couple itself. I'm not a big fan of insta love and this had insta love written all over it, or rather in this case insta lust. The relationship between Cassie and Haden was built on lust, you take that away and what do you have? nothing. They just lacked chemistry for me, which is a shame because I was rooting for these two at the start of the book. I wanted more tension between these two.
However, Paisley Hope does a brilliant job in exploring heavy themes surrounding Cassie's mental health and I did like that Haden was always there supporting Cassie. Additionally, I love the family dynamic within in this book, seeing all the couples together is always a bonus. Freeing the Wild is still an enjoyable read and I would recommend but if it wasn't for the insta love then this book would've been rated higher.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for a review.

Cassie and Hadens relationship could have very easily fallen into the category of instalove. Which I strongly dislike. So even though they fell for each other fairly quickly the gaps in their relationship adds to the depth. I also liked how Cassie’s struggle with her mental health was portrayed. It wasn’t dramatized or flippant. The snippets of Asher and Olivia were spot on. I can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen between them!

I loved this series and this book is a lovely addition. The tension between the couple are brilliant. MMC is so supportive while FMC is going through and finding who she is and coming back to him. I really enjoyed reading this
