I found this manga really cute I just wish it was longer as a one shot.
I learnt a lot about driving schools in Japan and was telling my parents all that I had learnt (they probably werent interested 😂)
I thought the relationship kight be a bit uncomfortable to read about but because they were the same age it was it was not uncomfortable.
I really liked the art of this manga and learning that the illustrator did not enjoy drawing the cars made me laugh!
I would be from this manga author again and will be looking into their backlist!

The story was very cute and was so fun and easy to read. I will enjoyed Yaotome's gap personally it was very adorable. This is definitely a re-read for me!! So so cute!!

As a driving instructor, Mr. Chiba is always being fawned over by his students. Just another day at work and in walks a tall, handsome man in a suit, Mr. Yaotome.. Why would one dress so formally for a driving lesson? Mr. Yaotome masks as a prim and proper gentleman, but Mr. Chiba has a way of breaking his walls down. He even goes so far as to indulge the real reason for finally getting his driver’s license at the age of 30: he needs to drive to the vet for his new kitty. While there may be other motivations and feelings afoot between the two, what develops is an adorable connection.

This was a really fun, simple read. There isn’t much to complain about, and there is no unnecessary nudity that adds nothing to the story like the last ARC manga I read. Here, the art was great, it’s easy to read, and I loved the conversations the characters had. The characters have pretty good chemistry, and the author sprinkled in a fair share of cultural references and discussion about cars in a natural way to keep it interesting. There are surprisingly some very well done fourth wall breaks, and it was funny how the author justified a certain decision they took through that wall breaking. Overall, it is a decent book. Nothing too special, but it is not bad either.

This is a wonderful story about sweet love. I really enjoyed it and was smiling the whole time. If you want a romantic story filled with actual mature conversation instead of talking around each other, this is a good one to read.

This was a cute and short one-shot romance between a driving instructor and a mangaka. I liked to see the romance happening between two thirty-year-old characters, but it felt too short; there was potential to be a little bit longer, and maybe let the romance develop at a slower pace, let Chiba actually get to know Yaotome.

It was also pretty interesting to learn a bit about the driving schools in Japan and compare them to mine. I think it would be cool to show a little bit more of it.

I liked the translation notes and how they explained some words/objects present in the manga. It was the first time I saw one like this, and I really liked it.

Nonetheless, I recommend it if you're looking for a short and sweet BL with adult characters!

i want to put yaotome in a box, close the lid, and never look at him again—the man was a mess.

it's a manga. there were a few cringy parts and moments when i questioned the sanity of the characters, but i also had a fun time and it's been a while since i read a bl manga. the ending got me, bc chiba was like oh shit, was he flustered or scared??

so chiba. unlike yaotome, he appeared cool and collected, and like the charming guy who can only be straight. his little grin had me giggling. the scene in the hotel??? pls.

i did have a mini heart attack before the third lesson started and was confused and worried, then relieved, then confused again. what a mood.

I enjoyed this stand-alone manga and found it very fast to read. It was a manga filled with cute characters and only focused on our main couple but as this was a standalone that was to be expected. The relationship moved fast but the added backstory helped a little to understand their feelings. I really enjoyed the art style.

Short and sweet! I would have loved more of this. I think the pacing suffered from the one shot status. And I do think the love was a little quick, but I did enjoy the banter between them!

Super fun sweet romance,I really enjoyed this one-shot. The driving school setting had me thinking about all my panicky driving lessons when I too was terrified of driving. I really enjoyed the characters relationship and dynamic as well as the elements of their backstories we learn about, they feel like likeable, realistic characters albeit with quirks. I like that the conflict elements of the plot felt well handled and not overly dramatic as it made the story as a whole feel more realistic, as well as the pacing and conversation generally given the short length of the story overall.

Overall, a great read with fun, sweet BL romance presented in an enjoyable artsyle that matches the characters and setting.

I can keep this review brief, as the story was quite straightforward. I have to say that it took me a little while to get into this one. I admit that it wasn’t bad, and I thought the art style was cute, but I never found myself drawn to the characters or the story itself. Perhaps it’s a difference in culture kind of thing, where, at least in mine, falling in love with your driving instructor is a bit of an odd concept, but I suppose the trope is still cute. I’m sad to say that I don’t find this one particularly memorable, but it is a quick, light read for anyone looking for something quick!

Really short and sweet manga about a charming driving instructor and a very nervous student. I loved how comical it was and the banter between them, even though at the end it felt very insta-lovey, but it can be understood due to it being a single-volume story. Really enjoyed the drawing style and the "bonus contents" at the end, explaining some parts of the manga that could've been lost in translation.

It's cute, it's gay, but it does feel like it does have a bit of an identity crisis.

"Driving School Instructors are the pinnacle of popular! People fall for them left and right!" Dude, I'd be lying if I didn't say I didn't nearly die from choking on my water from the first page of this manga. Like I don't live in a country where driving schools are like normal, but I expect it's a lot of like old men, and plump middle aged ladies. I could be wrong though.

This blunt humor doesn't continue to echo throughout the book though, and it's kinda sad, it putters out by the end of the 1st lesson.
We also get a one off driving instruction tip, during the "1st Lesson" which could have been a cool ongoing bit, but we sadly only see it that once.

I think a lot of it comes down to the short form of "My Instructor Won't Yeild" while the story feels complete, how it's conveyed never is given time to fully feel like it settled.

Sweet romance plot. Like all single volume manga, it suffered a bit from pacing, as we couldn’t really see the passage of time (and since it’s a romance, of course they get together lol) so it felt just a little rushed, and there wasn’t as much yearning as I prefer in my manga. This seemed like a shojo style yaoi as compared to a yaoi for males (though I’m sure they could enjoy it as well!)

It was a very sweet story, and I’ve never read a romance in a driving school so that was fun!
The characters were very likable, and I was rooting for them! Of course there was a little drama, but it was resolved quickly, and they ACTUALLY TALK ABOUT IT instead of there being a long, drawn-out misunderstanding!!! Yay!!

My only true complaint is that it was a bit awkward for them to still call each other “Mr _” even after they were together, I would have preferred if they didn’t translate that and just stuck to “X-san”. (I do have another, petty complaint, which is that the title, and cover, doesn’t fit with the story. It’s not the instructor that won’t yield, and in fact, it’s the student driver that falls first! I get that it’s a play on ‘yielding’ when driving, but it doesn’t fit as the instructor DOESN”T relentlessly pursue the driving student). All are adults btw, this is an adult driving school.

This is also a closed-door romance, there are like 1-2 pages of kissing, and implied sex, but nothing on page.
Finally result: I would buy a physical copy!
