Thank you to NetGalley, Bonlinda Audio, and Kate Francis for the advanced copy of the Audiobook.

I’m rating this book 2.5/5. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t for me. It reminded me a lot of Five Survive by Holly Jackson, which I also didn’t enjoy. I found it difficult to distinguish between the characters, as they all felt quite similar. In the audiobook, the names Ellis and Alex sounded too similar, which made it confusing, especially toward the end.

I was expecting a Then There Were None style twist, so I was surprised when the ending took a different direction.

The narration was decent, I am giving it a 3.5 out of 5.

I truly wish the author success with this book. I’m sure many readers will enjoy it, it just wasn’t the right fit for me

This was an easy binge read, and I really enjoyed the audio narration, but I must admit it felt like a lot of other YA thrillers I’ve already read and it was only as we got to the more exciting end part that I could look past that.

Having said that, I thought it looked at feelings of grief and guilt quite well, and I enjoyed the friendships between some of the characters. A good read but nothing especially new!

This book had a good premise with these seven teens winning the raffle of a fancy stay at a hotel that turns out to be a trap and punishment for their roles in the fire at their school which claimed many lives. I did enjoy listening to it on audiobook as they try to figure out a way out without being shot, while also deciding who will be the next to cross the line as the end of each hour chimes. Talk about creepy scary awful! The revealing of who did what during the fire helped keep me interested though I do have to admit, some of the characters were easy to confuse and did not have much substance though it was still awful and terrible when they went over the line. The ones I remembered best were Anna, Alex, and Ellis as they were the ones that did the most, from trying to find a different way out to how they behaved with the choosing of the next person to cross. I did not expect that ending though and certainly was shocking (a bit unbelievable though) and surprisingly it kinda helped the survivors resolve some of their issues that they had from the fire.

The narrators did a good job in bringing the story to life, even if the characters were a bit hollow, and mostly unlikable. It did keep me interested to the end though and so thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to listen to this audiobook.

**Listened to audio book as well as reading along with electronic version**

The synopsis of this book really intrigued me, even if it did sound a little bit like other books in the YA genre that I had read before.
The book was very slow to get going but once the 'game' begun I was in! I was there for it, and I desperately wanted to know what was going on. Lots of questions to be asked.
The ending was a bit of a let down, after the big build up.

One of the biggest problems I had with the book was that the characters were not likeable, and were not different enough. I didn't know who was who - the audio book slightly helped with this as one of the characters was British and there were male and female narrators. But Francis did not differentiate enough between the characters so this hindered my enjoyment somewhat.

The narrators were really great, and I liked the fact there was a male and female narrator and that they differentiated their accents to aid in the characterisation.

Overall this book was big on the build up, but the ending just wasn't worth the read!

This isn't the genre I usually go for, but I've enjoyed similar books before and the premise reminded me of Pretty Little Liars, one of my favourite TV shows.

I was hooked immediately, with a very intriguing prologue and a diverse range of characters. The setting was perfect and I loved the beginning.

However, as the book went on, I lost interest. It seemed to be lacking plot, despite the high stakes promised and I didn't care much for any of the characters. I predicted the ending twist, which is something I never usually do with whodunit stories, so it didn't surprise me.

The narrators were both excellent and I would listen to audiobooks narrated by them again.

Overall, it was a quick fun read, but not something that will stick with me. Thank you to Netgalley and Bolinda audio for the audio copy.
