Bonnie and her husband Steffan are hiking in the beautiful Swiss Alps when they are caught in a freak snowstorm. Fearing they may not survive, the couple are overjoyed when they stumble across an isolated cabin occupied by a lone elderly woman, Annalise. Annalise saved them from certain death. But she does want something in return…

✨️A gripping locked in the mountains, creepy, and suspenseful thriller.

The plot is exciting and as you move ahead, the setting and the characters all turn dangerous. The perfect combination of a gripping thriller - snow storm, isolated cabin with deranged, maniac woman, trapped husband and wife with many secrets and lies of their own. The weather descriptions are chilling, and it makes it a claustrophobic mystery. Multiple timelines and points of view along with the sinister situation kept you engaged, and I raced through the second half. When everyone’s backstories came out, it was crazy with shocking revelations and twisted psychology. I enjoyed it. Thanks to @Netgalley and @Inkubatorbooks for the eARC.

I found this book an enjoyable read. Bonnie and her husband Steffan are hiking in the Swiss Alps. They’re on a mission to find Bonnie’s lost brother. They get caught in a storm and after seeking shelter in a small, secluded cabin, they realize they are in danger.

The characters are well developed and the descriptions of the weather they’re encountering made me shiver at times! I could imagine the terrible, life-threatening cold that they endured.

The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because the very premise that they were hiking in the Swiss Alps in the winter, with Steffan being an experienced capable hiker, was just a little far fetched to me. Also, a couple of the things that happened while they were in the cabin didn’t seem plausible. Putting those aside, I enjoyed reading the book to the very end.

This book was very tense! I really enjoyed reading it and I had a hard time putting it down at times. I loved the format of the book with different povs and times that is always one of my favorite things in books. I had a hard time connecting with the characters but that might have just been me not finding them very likable. The only thing I did not like was how so many things were unresolved until the epilogue and then a bunch of stuff was revealed, it felt a little rushed. Other than that it was a pretty good book!

What an engaging, WOW book this is!
The scenery is vivid, the characters are well described, and the plot is thrilling!

Bonnie and her husband Steffan are hiking the mountains of Switzerland, in search of Bonnie’s late brother Chris, who died while hiking with Steffan. They have returned to find his body so there can be a proper burial.
Soon after they start the hike, a massive snow storm envelops them, and they find refuge in a remote cottage. The lone woman in the cottage warms and feeds them, but the weather prevents the couple from leaving. They are unable to even open the door, as the snow has risen to the rooftop of the cottage.

From this point in the story, we start to see the creepy behavior of the strange, elderly woman.
Ultimately, this is a story of survival, from the elements and the deranged woman.

The book is very exciting and hard to put down!

This book hooked me from the start. A trek in the swiss alps for Bonnie and her husband, does not go to plan. They are hiking to find her lost brother’s body but get lost themselves. They stumble upon a cabin the the middle of nowhere snd a huge snowstorm and seek shelter with its occupant Annalise. Strange things happen and lies come out.
A fantastic read. Would love to read more from this author. She has a great writing style.

The start of this book was a little confusing for me because it jumped from the past to the present often. But I really liked the vibes of the book and the it is easy to read.
Honestly, I did not enjoy that much the end, but still, is a great book!

This was an excellent thriller! I loved the Swiss Alps setting and the “snowed in” forced proximity added so much suspense and uneasiness to the story. Most of the book was fast-paced, but there were a few slower moments. I’d recommend this to any thriller fan!

I Will Find You by Jessica Huntley was a very slow at the being. and I was going to give up, and I hate giving up on a book. so glad I did not give up, it ended up to be a good read and I enjoyed it. Shame it took a while to get started, so stick at it.

When Bonnie and her husband Steffan go hiking in the beautiful Swiss Alps, they are caught in a freak snowstorm. They are fearing they may not survive,. . . . . .when the couple are overjoyed as they stumble across an isolated cabin occupied by a lone woman, called Annalise.

Sadly, their joy soon turns to unease as they realise that Annalise may have a sinister agenda. . . . .

But, she’s not the only one with something to hide. Both trapped together and no where to go until the snowstorm has passed and it safe for Bonnie and Steffan to venture out. There is something else wrong, the cracks in Bonnie’s marriage start to show as she discovers that Steffan has been leading a secret life.

Annalise becomes more and more menacing towards them.

What does she want from them?

And what is she willing to do to get it?

WoW. . . . . So stick with it as it became an interesting read.

Big Thank you to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for my ARC.

I do love a wee trapped in an isolated cabin vibe so I was excited to get stuck into this. It had its good and bad, it did feel a bit slow for my liking but I see how the slow pace worked in favour of building the tension and spooky vibe. It also meant you kept being drop fed a betting insight into the characters until the "big reveal" which... i wouldnt say it was a big but it was a decent enough conclusion. Tbf it might just be because this concept is such a common set up that it has to really stand head and shoulder above or it just gets lost in all the other books with a similar premise. It was still enjoyable though

This was definitely a slower burn and took me a little while to get into, but overall a good read. I was satisfied with the outcome of the characters.

I Will Find You - Jessica Huntley

This Is the second book by Jessica Huntley that I’ve read and I think I may have found a new favourite author to add to my list. 💕

I’m not giving anything away. A twisted and dark tale, I recommend!

3.5 stars. This was an easy to read, popcorn thriller, with varying points of view and timelines (which I always enjoy). I found it a bit predictable despite the promised “big twist”, which for me, never really showed up. I would try another book by this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

When reading this book what struck me most was how the story slowly peels back the layers of each character, revealing that being found isn’t always safe, and being lost might be freedom.

"Am I a bad person? Or am I just a person who has had bad things happen to me?"

Bonnie and her husband Steffan are lost in the middle of the Swiss Alps during a snow storm. Seeking refuge, they encounter a cabin inhabited by an elderly woman who eerily resembles "The White Witch," an urban legend around the local area. With time and rations running out, Bonnie's suspicions grow with not just their host but her husband as well as secrets slowly rise to the surface.

This started off shrouded in mystery, with the reader questioning what was going on right off the bat. The plot and characters' stories were slowly revealed as each chapter passed, and the suspense quickly escalated. I could almost feel the cold through the pages as the storm set in. This became intense and downright creepy during certain scenes. I was fully engrossed until the very end, and while I still had a few lingering questions, I found myself really liking this more than I thought I would. The only thing I will say that didn't work for me was a small part about a reporter that had inconsistencies. Overall, this was a claustrophobic, suspenseful, and eerie read that kept me on my toes from beginning to end. Four stars.

Thank you, Netgalley and Inkubator Books, for this ARC.

After the fourth (maybe fifth?) time the main character, Bonnie, reminded us that she’s a runner, it stopped being a thriller and started being a hate-read.

Marketed as a “gripping psychological thriller,” but I felt none of that. The tension never quite showed up, and I saw the twist coming a mile away, no psychic powers required.

I only forced myself to finish because I needed to give it a rating. The premise had potential, but the pacing dragged, the character depth was surface-level, and the repetition was relentless. If I had a dollar for every time Bonnie mentioned running, I could’ve bought a better book and some snacks. Which, since I read this as an ARC, isn’t a difficult task.

Not the worst thing I’ve ever read, but it definitely didn’t live up to the hype.
