A definitive account of the band Oasis. Very detailed accounts from many different perspectives of the evolution of the band Oasis. Definitely one for the tragics. Thank you to the author. Thank you to #netgalley and the publisher for an ARC.

Some Might Say: The Story of Oasis by Richard Bowes is a must have book for new and Old Oasis fans.
🥹 Hands up, I am not a fan of Oasis - I know........shot me now!!! 🥹
But it was a very interesting insight and read, about 2 Gallagher brothers called Liam and Noel, who are a British Band of the 90's. This is the story about how lives were changed forever, told by those who lived through it. There are Fans, new and existing fans from all over the world and millions felt the connection to these working-class lads from Manchester.
All their songs have meanings and well crafted by the brothers. They were and still are the boys! who rocked the 90's and still do today, They may have split up many years ago, but they still have many follows. They have just announce they are touring again in Summer 2025 and it is a sell our tour.

I am sure an Oasis Fan would love this book especially as it is pack with so much information about them.
The only thing I disliked about this book was I would have liked to see photo's throughout this book not at the back of this book, which is my only gripe. Oh and more of them.

😎 Am I a fan now? . . . .Maybe 😎 but a good insight to The Gallagher brothers.

Big Thank you to NetGalley, Richard Bowes and Pen and Sword for an advance copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

A great compilation of all things Oasis. I appreciated the scope of this book and the range of people it managed to include who were associated or involved with Oasis from their formation, to the end, and back for their revival coming this June. My biggest issue with the book was that it made for quite a dry. It could be a slog to get through at times, I think this would be best to read slowly, but given personal time constraints I had to get through this as soon as I could. The format could’ve been more engaging, like more pictures for instance. There are a few pictures included at the very end of the book but I think it would’ve been better to have them sprinkled through where relevant, just to liven the book up a little and separate big blocks of text.

My favourite section of the book was the chapter(s) chronicling What’s The Story (Morning Glory)?, it’s my favourite album so of course I was the most engaged with that part! I imagine most readers will be looking forward to their favourite album’s section in here and mine certainly didn’t disappoint.

I do think this is worth the read for any Oasis fan, new or old, but I recommend taking your time with it.

A big thank you to the publisher for the e-arc!

I’ve always liked Oasis but admit I don’t know a lot about them aside from their most popular songs and a few albums I bought when I was young. With the tour coming up that I excitedly have tickets for I thought it would be good to get some background knowledge and learn more.

This book was really well written and I loved how it was set out with a list at the beginning of all the characters that were involved in the Oasis journey. As the book progressed it was good to read sections from different people and to hear their points of view.

I really enjoyed the book and I definitely learned lots of new facts. The discography and filmography at the back of the books were also great and I am looking forward to the return of Oasis.
