This felt a long listen , although the chapters were short there were many of them . There were some difficult issuses dealt with but i grew to hate the characters until their true past was revealed, the pacing was just too off for me., it too long to get to the point. yes the characters had depth but the length made me hate them quite a bit.. The idea was brilliant but i found myself mad because it seems too ott and overly ridiculous executed. I did enjoy it as it unfolded , needs to be short and maybe edited. The narration tried hard but it felt flat. This is a once read it for me, may appeal to listeners and readers who like an easy a to b. Thank you netgallery, publisher, author and narrator.

💙 ❤️ WoW this book was so good! ❤️ 💙
My Husband's Lies by Maryann Webb and narrated by Nerissa Bradley was an absolutely unputdownable psychological thriller with a jaw-dropping twist that will have you sitting there with your mouth open and then spend a few seconds thinking about it!!!
Question. . . . . . .
How well do you really know the people closest to you?
"Well, I think I do!"
Aria Miller has the perfect life well she thinks she does. Her Honeymoon phrase is now a distant memory but, she can't the strange feeling that her so called perfect life is all about to collapse around her.
Ana, has started to feel something is not right especially when her Husband Ethan tells her he has to work late. But, she shrugs it off and tells herself everything is ok, and he is not lying to her, after all he is perfect, kind and sweet and has never given her any reason not to trust him. But, something is not right and she can not out her finger on it!!!
It maybe the stress of them trying for a baby? bit, as she grabs her morning coffee she feels someone is watching her! and this feeling will not go away!!!!
All Ava needs is a good all girl's night out. . . . That will take her mind off everything. What could ever go wrong?
Whilst they were out her best friend Isla is brutally murdered in a dark bathroom bar.
Aria is still reeling from the shock when the text "How well do you know your husband?"
And suddenly, amid a police investigation and Ethan's increasingly strange behaviour, Aria is forced to question everyone around her - including herself.
He said "He loved me!.. . . . .But does he?"
He said "I had nothing to worry about! . . . . . . But something is telling me different!!!
But, What else don't I know about my husband's lies?
Is Aria safe?
This book was excellent and was full of twists and turns throughout.
The narrator Nerissa Bradley was superb for this book, she bought it alive.
I highly recommend this audiobook 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you Netgalley, Bonnier UK Audio | Embla Books and MaryAnn Webb for the audio Arc of My Husband's Lies.
Narrated by Nerissa Bradley
My husband's Lies is a definite page turner with a great plot pacing, direction and characters that feel real and fallible. It was a quick read/listen for me and I binged listened to it on a rainy afternoon ( would make an excellent beach read too!) Being her debut novel and with some more in the pipeline, I bonded with both her writing style and the elements she used for this twisty domestic thriller. I picked up on the foreshadowing quite quickly but it didn't subtract anything from the whole narrative at all. Over all a great quick read for summer days, winter nights and anytime you want to pick up a book!
This book was narrated by Nerissa Bradley who also did an excellent job with keeping the characters separate and building in the suspense
4.25 stars for Storygraph and 4 stars for other review sites

I was looking forward to this audiobook from the synopsis, expecting part procedural part psychological thriller.
This doesn't really develop in this way. As however that may have just been my interpretation of the blurb I've kept this as objective as possible.
The book is written from the point of view of Aria. This woman must be one of the most narcissistic irritating characters I've come across. This may be intentional but I'm not sure of that. Everything that happens comes back to her, and how it must all be about her.
Without giving any spoilers there is little about the police involvement included, which, as the story develops is hard to imagine.
There are a lot of good points in this book. However for me, as this developed I was left with the impression that every idea that had been jotted down during a brainstorming session was, towards the end then included.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARAC which was very much appreciated.

My Husband's Lies by Maryann Webb, on audio was a good book. I've rounded up to a 4 because Goodreads just can't grasp 1/2 stars and ties go to the author.
A 'perfect' life, the end of the honeymoon era, mistrust, a husband who works late (a lot), a girls night out and murder are the perfect combination for a domestic thriller. My one request for an author is always give us someone to root for, someone to like, a character who makes us cheer for a particular ending. Webb didn't really do that. Female MC Aria stepped on my last nerve with some of her behavior, but not enough to even consider DNF, so that's a plus.
This one started slow, but provided enough twists that ultimately it was worth the wait for the ending.
Here is my note to every advertising exec with every publisher everywhere on the planet: Please please please stop using any variation of the phrase, "A totally unputdownable psychological thriller packed with twists perfect for Summer 2025!"
Just. Don't.
It's so overused now that it just makes me roll my eyes.

My favourite audio book of the year so far
Great story really well told when one of her best friends is killed on a night out so much changes well it would plus this is a thriller so true this is expected. But the story isn't aa expected it's full of surprises plenty of unforseen twists and some hold your breath moments.. Her surviving friends add to the drama but it's the other ones that supply most of it. The mystery stalker (or are they) This is an intriguing drama/thriller and definitely a great read.
So it's a 5star listen (or read) in my view and I highly recommend and how you enjoy it as much as I did.

I found this quite slow to start, the story seemed quite focused on Aria's thoughts spiralling rather than anything actually happening. That said, in the second half it does pick up and I found a lot more action and suspense.
The story focuses on Aria's pov, how she suspects her husband is cheating on her. It highlights the premise of 'How well do you know those closest to you'. We see all her relationships and interactions through her eyes so it makes you question everyone else's motives. We only see what they want Aria to see.
Throughout the book, Aria frustrated me with her thoughts and actions, it seemed like she was purposely being oblivious. I did not find her a particularly likeable character but only as I didn't feel a connection to her.
Parts of the twist, I did not see coming and it surprised me. I had to rewind a little as it hits it quite quickly. I think fans of Frieda McFadden will enjoy this.
I listened to the audiobook and it took me a while to get used to the narrator. I didn't quite gel with her voice.
I enjoyed that it was first person pov, and it worked well being told only from Aria.
Thank you to UK audio for this advanced Audiobook.
