Wow - what can I say. I've always loved Anthony Ryan's work and honestly this book is up there with one of his best works. It's a bit of a slow start but once it gets going boy does it deliver.

There are multiple pov's from all of your favourite characters as they navigate the new world and their places in it. You see each character growing into their choices and their roles and some thrive some not so much.

One of the standouts for me in this book is how each character has moral choices to make which may or may not affect their futures - like do I do a bad thing or do I do the best I can in a bad situation?!

This book does not suffer in anyway from second book syndrome, it is fast paced and keeps you turning the page.

Perfect and the worst thing? I now have to wait for book 3!

Having the recap was perfect, it explained everything in a short and sweet way!
It picks up right where book 1 left off and the ride was just as amazing!
