You've Found Oliver is a companion novel to You've Reached Sam. It follows one of the characters from YRS, Oliver, who was Sam's best friend. Oliver misses Sam and he messages his friend's number regularly with how he feels and how much he misses him. What he doesn't expect is someone to reply. Ben. The two develop a friendship which becomes more with time. However, there is something strange about his relationship, and the two of them have to navigate this, along with their feelings. I really enjoyed this story, but I didn't expect the twist that occurs. This is a cute companion novel and allowed us to see what happened with the character from the first book.

It's been a year since Olivers best friend Sam passed away and even though he knows Sam can't reply Oliver still sends him messages everyday. When he accidentally calls the number someone else picks up, Ben an astronomy student, as Oliver realises someone else has been reading his private messages for months. When they decide to meet in person their spark is instant but soon Oliver discovers something that could stop them from being together.

As always with Dustin Thaos books this is heartbreakingly beautiful. This could easily be read as a standalone but I recommend picking up 'Youve Reached Sam' first. This revolves alot around time, nostalgia and living in the past and finding the strength to move forward in life after something tragic. This also shows how people can come into your life for a reason and seeing Oliver branch out and start to do more with his life was heartwarming. I was sobbing by the last part which comes with all of these books and I'm already excited to see what Dustin comes up with next. Highly recommend.
