Another brilliant book in the series with so many twists and turns that I didn't see coming (the end is a big one!) I have thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this series. They are well written with likeable characters and easy to imagine and picture the scenes described. I was worried when I started reading the last chapter that this would be the last in the series but I don't think it is as there are so many doors unopened and questions unanswered.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers and of course the author for allowing me to read and review an Arc copy and for such a brilliant book!

When you love a series, there is always the fear that the newest book might not live up to your expectations. No worries...Wedding Bells for the East End Library Girls is spectacular and full of surprises. It begins with Mavis finally marrying her Joe, only to have him shipped overseas 2 days later. Remember Ben, a young man who fixed the library van for the girls? He's back, searching for answers about his parentage, with connections to Cordelia. Remember Robert, Cordelia's beau? The North African campaign has ended, but will he come back changed? And shy, timid Jane can sing...who knew? There is even a mysterious, old, wooden chest that was found after the library was bombed, just waiting to be opened. This book took the girls in unexpected new directions that I hadn't anticipated, but I loved it. I'll miss these East End Library Girls.

Lovely addition to the series. It was an enjoyably light read that deftly addressed real issues without being heavy or depressing in the process. It was nice to see one couple officially "coupled up" while leaving the door open for future instalments in the series.

this is a book in a series but can be read as a standalone. Mavis is getting married, but she is keeping a secret. good series.
