I adore this manga. Tayama's characters are cute and complex. I enjoy watching the relationship develop between the two young girls. And for the female lead to open herself up to more than just her crush.

I really loved the personal development Tenka goes through during this volume. If I'm being honest, the first volume made me a bit indifferent to her as a lead, but the conflicts she faces in this volume and how she decides to face them made her into a really compelling main character. It's really fun to see what seems like very accurate scenes behind the curtains of the K-Pop industry, even if it is fictional. I'd definitely recommend this to friends who like K-Pop.

I already really enjoyed the first volume of this series, but volume 2 blew me away. It went in a very different direction from how I expected it to this early in the series. I'm not fully sure what to expect, but it's an exciting ride so far seeing Tenka on her road to becoming an idol. The core concept is reminding me a bit of Skip Beat! in that it really focuses on someone who's dedicating themself to an entertainment based artform specifically because of another person (whether those reasons are positive or negative) and starts learning more about their own identity and learning to make choices for their own happiness instead. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Tenka moves forward and how her friendships and relationships shift.

Girl Crush is an entertaining manga that fans of kpop will devour - with interesting characters and a well-developed plot, it can't be missed.

Vol 2 was even better than the 1st! This volume shows what it’s like to be a teenager - finding out who you are or who you want to be - while learning to love yourself. Momose had quite a bit of character development in this one where there wasn’t a lot of page time for Sato but I am excited to see where she is in the next volume. If you’re looking for a fun little series about becoming a K-Pop Idol this is the one.

I really enjoyed the first volume of this manga but sadly I didn't care for volume two quite as much. I felt like it focused way to much on the emotions side of this and made the story drag. The first one seemed so bright and fun even the rivalry between the fmcs was fun and light hearted. This volume on the other hand felt so heavy handed. I'm going to continue on with this series but this was not my favorite volume
