The acing is relentless, wrapping claustrophobia, grief, and survival into a story that doesn’t pause for breath.

This is a great thriller.
It’s a hard one to review as there’s quite a lot of aspects to the story, and I don’t want to spoil it.
The nightmare starts for Ciara when she wakes to find her husband dead in bed next to her, having been stabbed to death.
Ciara is arrested for murder but despite her pleas of innocence, is placed in prison, awaiting trial.
She’s panics about not seeing her young daughter and is determined to prove her innocence.
There’s a few parts where you do have to suspend belief at times, but overall this is a good thriller.
Thanks to Canelo for the opportunity to read this book.

This is definitely a MUST READ..
It is difficult to talk about it without giving anything away but it is one of those books that will be on every readers best book of the year list.
It has twists you don't see coming and is filled with drama as well as a gripping plot and fab characters.
Believe the hype it's amazing..

This book is out on August 7th, and trust me you don’t want to miss it.
Honestly, it’s hard to say too much without giving away spoilers… and this is definitely a story where you want to go in blind. What I can say is this: I read it in one sitting. I simply couldn’t stop. The twists just keep coming every time I thought I had things figured out, the story flipped again in a completely unexpected way
I couldn’t put it down . The Stranger Inside should be made into a tv series , It would be a nr1 on Netflix.
If you love psychological thrillers that will keep you guessing until the final page, this one’s for you.

I have loved Amanda Cassidy other books but this is her best yet. I couldn't put it down. Twists and turns everywhere. Highly recommend.

Clara leaves her daughter and a neighbour alone while she nips to the shops for a few minutes, on the nanny cam she sees something disturbing. Terrified she rushes home, but there’s no one there. She wakes up in the middle of the night, with her husband dead next to her and suddenly her life has been turned upside down. Surely she didn’t kill her husband?
The first chapter draws you in and ends on a cliffhanger. You’re desperate to find out what happens. The story hints to past mistakes and you want to know how they fit in.
I literally said wow as the story was going on, ended up not being what I thought but I was completely floored

Thanks to Netgalley for my early copy of this new book by Amanda Cassidy. A tense thriller following Ciara Duffy who wakes to find her husband murdered and has a battle to prove her innocence. A really good read with plenty of twists and turns!

It wasn't a boring read, but it was a very confusing one with a promising start. The main character is not a very nice person. She made many mistakes and also committed crimes, but somehow everyone forgives her, even the law. Many things happened that were not explained. Also, so many very, very rare medical conditions in a small group of people - coincidences play a major role in this book.
Like I said: it was not boring, but it is not one of the best thrillers I've read either.

My thanks to Canelo and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘The Stranger Inside’ written by Amanda Cassidy in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
Ciara Duffy has been arrested and charged with the murder of her husband Morgan who she found lying next to her in bed with a knife plunged into his stomach. Ciara knows she didn’t do it and realises that if she’s going to prove her innocence she needs to escape from the prison cell for her own sake and that of her nine-year-old daughter Sally.
‘The Stranger Inside’ is an action-packed thriller with several threads to the story, the murder of Ciara’s husband Morgan, the Brighton Baby case and her daughter Sally’s illness, and the shooting of her father ex-Detective Chief Superintendent Jimmy Mooney. In my opinion the author has tried to squeeze too many threads into the story with some so far-fetched as to defy logic, but I’ll accept them as generally it’s a fast-paced thriller with lots of suspense, intrigue and twists and turns that’s kept my attention from page one. I’ve enjoyed reading this thriller, my first by this author, and I’ll be looking out for more by her in the future.

First, thank you Netgalley and Canelo for the ARC!
What would you do if you find your husband murdered in your own bed, and then the police does arrest you for it? That is exactly what does happen here to a young woman called Ciara, who now had to do anything to clear her name while also needing to take care of her daughter, who is sadly fighting a life-threatening illness. At this point, it is basically a race agains time...
I really did enjoy reading the fast-paced story from beginning to end. It was my first book by the writer, as far as I am aware, but now, I will check out her other works, too. Very much recommended!

This is my first book from this author and while I enjoyed it to a degree I also found it a bit farcical.
The plot was really interesting and it did grip me from the start but parts of it were just too far fetched. The main character made so many stupid decisions that just would not happen in the real world.

This is a fast-paced, dramatic and action-packed thriller.
When Ciara finds her husband murdered in her bed, she is arrested and imprisoned. Ciara is in a race against time to clear her name and to save her daughter who has a life-threating illness.
There are so many threads to the story - some more believable than others.
An emotional rollercoaster.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

My Review! 🏠
Blurb;
You’re behind bars, framed for a crime you didn’t commit.
Midwife Ciara Duffy goes to sleep and wakes in the small hours to find her husband beside her – stabbed through the heart. Soon she is arrested and charged with his murder.
You get one chance to run.
Ciara knows she is innocent. She has no one to rely on. Meanwhile, her young daughter is gravely ill. Ciara has to fight – by any means necessary.
Do you take it?
The day comes when getting out might be possible. But Ciara’s choices are bleak: hope justice prevails and she gets to her daughter in time. Or become a fugitive on the hunt for a killer.
My Review;
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. It drew me in from the very beginning, & kept me reading through to the end. I did find this a bit of a heavier read, as opposed to an 'easy read' style, but the plot had various twists & turns, so the style was written fittingly to incorperate these.
This tells the story of main character, Ciara, who wakes up to find her husband dead; having been stabbed in the heart. Ciara is then arrested on suspicion of murder, & is kept in custody on remand. Caira knows she is innocent, but she needs to be able to prove her innocence, by finding out who really murdered her husband, which she cannot do behind bars, so she gets her one chance to escape; to go on the run, & she takes her chance.
No only must Ciara try to figure out just who murdered her husband, but who murdered her father, too, - plus she must try to save her very ill daughter.
I found the characters within believable, & I was shocked/surprised by the twist I did NOT see coming, near the end!
Out of a rating of 1-10, where 10 is the highest, I would rate this a 7 out of 10.
Overall, a good read, & one which I would recommend.

I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down.
It follows Ciara and looks at her past and how it catches up with her.
The book keeps you gripped from the start as her past unravels and is revealed and how it is affecting her life today. Her husband isn’t all he seems and there’s a lot going on there too.
One night changes everything and her life falls apart in the most spectacular way leaving Ciara lost and alone fighting for the truth.

Wow! Wow! Read this book in one day! Fast paced and kept me guessing until the very end. I struggled between and 3 and 4 star rating. But landed with a 4!

I usually love Amanda Cassidy's books but this one, I'm very sorry to say, I struggled with. I just couldn't get into it. The plot couldn't hold my attention. Nonetheless l, I'll be sure to pick up her next book as I enjoyed the previous ones.

Absolutely wild from page one!
The Stranger Inside opens with probably the most insane first chapters I’ve ever read in a thriller. I was literally scared af. The fear, the pacing, the tension - all of it is so visceral and immediate that I couldn’t look away. Amanda Cassidy knows how to pull you into a moment and hold you there.
There are so many interesting and interwoven elements throughout the story (betrayals, motherhood, injustice, escape) all tangled up in a relentless plot. I really admired Ciara as a character, especially her fierce determination and commitment to her daughter. Her personal arc is one of the most compelling parts of the book.
That said, I did have a few issues that held this one back from being a full four (or five) stars for me. Some plot points felt entirely unbelievable, particularly around how her daughter came into her life, the prison arc, and honestly the whole thing with the first husband - that thread felt undercooked and kind of unnecessary. The book kicks off at 100 and (mostly) stays there, but it does teeter a little in the middle and the ending didn’t quite match the explosive start.
Still, this is a super fast-paced read that would absolutely slap on the silver screen. Think: high-stakes drama, non-stop action, and a protagonist you want to root for even when you’re not sure what’s real.
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 — could’ve easily been a 4 with a few tweaks, but I’d still recommend it to thriller lovers who like their stories full of action and momentum.
Thank you to Amanda Cassidy, Canelo Crime, and NetGalley for the eARC.
Review will be posted to my channels: @amiedaniellebooks @thrillerbookclub

I enjoyed reading this! There were preposterous action-heavy parts and one-too-many medical anomalies for one novel, but I was willing to overlook them because I enjoyed the ride. 3.5 (rounded to 4) stars/5
Thanks to NetGalley and Canelo for letting me read an ARC.

Well put a cork in it and shut the door. The twists are superior quality and I love the opening of the book because it quickly draws you in and sets the stage for the rest of the book. It's fast pace is relentless and the thrills are intense to say the least.

Thank you to Net Galley for providing me with an Advanced Reader Copy of this title.
WOW this book had me hooked, it had more twists than a corkscrew. Every time I thought the plot was going one way it would go another. I couldn’t put it down, highly recommend.
