This book was an emotional rollercoaster that left me shattered at the end, I’m not ashamed to admit I ugly cried.
Heartwarming, heartbreaking love story that will stay with me.
Life is made of up thousands of moments, they are precious, treasure them and the people who help make them.

Emotional.
As much as this hurt there was something so beautiful about the agony I went through while listening to this book, especially towards the end. The ending 😬😳😰ohhh the ending 🥺😢😭
Listening to this book is like a punch to the heart. But it’s also very enjoyable at the same time and I’ll do it again. I found myself captivated by Jonah and Kacey’s journey together. The narrators transported me into their lives and I didn't want to leave. I don’t cry often but I found myself shedding tears multiple times (yes - I even balled). The narrators do a fantastic job bringing out every ounce of emotion possible and then some!!! I don’t know how they did it. It will hurt but I will definitely listen to this book again. I’ll be sure to be alone so I don’t have to explain the tears running down my face.
I went into this mostly sort of blind. I don’t think I ever fully read the blurb. What I did know about were the tropes, it was going to be emotional, and it is part of a duet. I only knew that much because I have a physical copy of the duet from a subscription I had. It’s been on my TBR for months and I’ll be honest it wasn’t high up on my list for no particular reason. I figured the audiobook would be a good way to read it.
I’m glad I picked it up. Sometimes you need a book that brings out all the emotions and breaks you. And this is one of those books. I should have picked it up sooner when I was in the mood to feel. It’s not all sad though. There are fun, laughable, light hearted moments that will bring smiles, swooning, joy, and those warm & fuzzy feelings. The character growth is beautiful. I love the depth that both Kacey and Jonah have. There are also some really good life lessons and quotes to remember (hearing them made the impact and meaning that much stronger).
I’m giving my heart a few more days to heal before starting to listen to All In.

✨ARC Review✨
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to reviews this audiobook! I normally listen to audio books as background noise while I clean the house. This book made me stop and truly listen and feel every thing the characters were going through! I found myself crying while washing the dishes.
As someone who became a widow at 28 this love story really hit home for me.
I loved it! Would definitely recommend but trigger warning if you have dealt with loss of a loved one 💙

Ok, so this has been on my tbr for ages. I saw the audio (possibly redone, I’m not sure) available for request on NetGalley so I was excited to finally dive in. I went in blind, only knowing it was going to be an emotional read.
Once you start the book, you get an idea of what’s going to happen. I thought I’d be ok, shed minimal tears. Nope, by the end I was sobbing while sitting on my back deck. My husband came out to check on me. 🤣
Jonah and Kacey’s love story was brief, but so beautiful. I love how they both found so much happiness in all the darkness. Both of them had so much emotional growth in such a short amount of time. It Really makes you think about life and your loved ones and what is truly important.
Also, I have a feeling I know the direction book two is going in so I’m going to jump right into that one.
This was my first book by Emma Scott but will not be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed the writing style and story telling.
Both narrators were fantastic, I really enjoyed the audiobook.

My heart... my heart has been ripped out. I loved this book. I fell in love with Jonah and Kacey. My heart is broken in the best way possible. If you are looking for a book that will make you cry and have all the feels, this is the book for you. Can't wait to read the second book in the duet. The narrators were perfect. I will always recommend this book.

Thank you to #NetGalley and #TantorAudio for an advance listening copy of #FullTilt. When you find true love but time is short. A real tear jerker. 4 stars.

3.5 stars
Our FMC Kacey Dawson is a musician and member of a famous rock band. When we first meet her, her life is basically spiraling from alcohol, fame and the chaos that comes with that. But a chance encounter with our MMC Jonah Fletcher, a soft-spoken artist living with a guarded illness, sets her on a completely different trajectory.
This was a very emotionally intense and touching story and I really enjoyed the audio narration. I have seen this book on social media a lot over the years, but didn't know what it was about. So going into this not knowing it was book 1 in a duet (with no HEA) kind of disappointed me. Knowing now where the next book goes, I'm not sure I'd be inclined to pick it up. But that's on me for not looking into it better.
Thank you to Netgalley and Tantor Audio for the ALC.

I went into this book slightly blind, in the respect that I didn't realise it had been out previously but I was intrigued by the description. It took me a while to get into, to really feel for the characters, but once I 'clicked' into them and their story - I was hooked.
I will say it an optimist who was in denial about where the story was heading (I'm normally a HEA reader), so when the end came I was wreck. So if you look for that sort of emotion in your book, this is the one for you!
I thought the narrators did a good job at bringing the story to life, they added to the story so well. Caitlin Kelly had me tears in the last few chapters but the performance was beautiful!

My mum can confirm I’m not a robot.
This was very boring and I did not find it sad.
It is obvious where it is going from the start, so of course I had no real reaction to the end.
Also, our fmc had a complete character change, huge lifestyle flip over, after meeting the love interest. She gave up her pop career, smoking, drugs, drinking, party gal life at the click of her fingers and became a really caring and thoughtful person.

I wish I had the ability to cry at audiobooks, because if I had read this as a physical copy, my heart would be in shattered pieces on the floor. It was a mistake listening to this on audio even though the narrators emotional portrayal of this story was fantastic. You kind of know where the story is heading from the first few chapters, but still, somehow, I convinced myself it wasn’t what I thought. Lol, I was wrong. And yes, my heart did absolutely break.
This was such a perfect romance, even though it was equally as devastating. Kacey is a total mess when she meets Jonah, right at her breaking point. If she hadn’t passed out drunk into his limo that night, if she hadn’t met someone with such a kind, genuine heart, she might not have survived long enough to tell their story. And that just makes it hit that much harder.
Jonah was an absolutely beautiful soul. His love for Kacey poured off the page, or out of my iPhone speaker in my case. He just wanted to help her become the best version of herself, and he did it with so much love, patience, and tenderness. He was everything. And Kacey, she was hurting, in a very dark place, but she found the strength to fight her way out with Jonah’s help. The way she stuck by him through all the heartbreak took so much strength.
This book was the ultimate reminder to live fully and love loudly, because even the most incredible people only get so much time. Growing old is a privilege, not everyone gets the chance.
I cannot wait to read book two, even though I think I already know what’s coming (I haven’t read the synopsis, I don’t need to). I just hope Kacey gets the happy ending she deserves.

this is the most heartbreaking story i've read so far.
even though i'm at 17% left of the book, i kept waiting for the conflict (i mean, it's a non-hea book, what do you expect). so i've read the third and final part, and oh boy...
therefore, i conclude that it is INDEED a tearjerker story (and i don't know if i still continue reading the second book...)
for the audiobook, i'm glad that both narrators did it again for the re-record one. their narration is amazing. and the ending??? they put their feelings for this one (especially caitlin kelly's)

Thank you NetGalley, Tantor Audio and Emma Scott for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I listened to this audiobook and really enjoyed it.
The beginning has scenes featuring alcohol abuse so if that’s a tough subject be warned.
Jonah is such a sweet, caring MMC you cannot help but fall in love with him. His circle of family and friends are great support characters. Kacey is definitely flawed but turns out to be an extremely lovable character who you want to root for.
This is an emotional book but not until third act. I was balling at 2am listening to the last hour of the book while getting my daughter back to bed 😭
I immediately downloaded the next book.

Full Tilt is a sweet love story that had me crying at the end and gave me all the feels. I love the characters and the story, even if it ends on a bittersweet note. The writing is great and the story is well developed with steady pacing. Even on my re-read I had a hard time putting the book down because I got so invested in the lives of Jonah and Kacey.
I was given a copy of the new audiobook and it was wonderful. Both narrators did a great job of bringing the story to life. Would totally recommend.
As much as I love this book, I would love to see Kacey get her forever happy ending, so I know I will be (re)reading the next book in the series.

My first read from this author.
You know how the story ends, but it still breaks you.
This was so sad.
A washed up rockstar meets and falls in love with a limo driver with an amazing talent, her destined for doom.
There were SO MANY TIMES I was like, wow, how corny and unrealistic would a miracle be; but I want it.

This was so beautifully written. As a person who has a close family member who had a heart transplant after a microbe in the heart , i felt that the author understood me and my person and with respect and love led the readers see, really see these people and how it is living in their shoes. My eyes were filed with tears throughout the book and the story but also the writing captivated me.

I have been stuck for bit trying to write the review that would do this book justice. It gives you a rollercoaster of emotions - love, hope, sadness and heartbreak.
Nelson Hobbs and Caitlin Kelly did a wonderful job of bringing Kacey and Jonah to life. They put the emotions into their words so that you could feel it. I cried so hard reading this book but every tear was worth it.
Kacey is in a band and she lives life a little rough trying to drown her pain from her absent family. Her growth and development in this story was so beautiful. Jonah is so strong despite having a weak heart. I honestly never thought about what it must be like as a loved one of someone on a transplant list, this book gives you that an so much more. It is a perfect example of live life like every moment is your last and love with every fiber of you being.
Thank you NetGalley and Tantor Audio for this ALC. All my opinions are my own.

Full Tilt by Emma Scott

Audiobook release date 8th July 2025
Thank you to NetGalley and TantorAudio for this audiobook.
This book was released in 2016 but the audiobook is out this week &
Sooo, this book actually destroyed me. I sobbed so hard, I ugly cried, tears, snot the lot.
It was such a beautiful but devastating story, and I can't wait to start the next book. I'm a sucker for love, I love seeing people find their one true love. I don't want to spoil the story by posting too much. I loved Kacey and Jonah's characters. This is under the Romance/general fiction category.
Absolutely worth the 5stars I've given it!!!

“The love we have, outweighs the pain.”
Full Tilt was a full ride! Whew, this book has me shook and absolutely gutted. The entire premise of the story is wonderful. I love that the FMC was messy but also so open and caring. I absolutely loved that the MMC was instantly protective and all consumed. Their chemistry was hot and perfect. Honestly, as a widow this was so hard to read at times - but absolutely worth it and a great reminder that love truly is a gift. This was truly the perfect book. I loved the writing style by Emma Scott and I look forward to reading more from her. I listened to the audiobook and both of the narrators did a wonderful job. Their voices fit the characters perfectly. ✨💖💫
I would like to thank Tantor Audio and NetGalley for giving me an ARC (which did not sway my opinions or review).

The way this book shattered me. It was so good but oh my god my heart is torn. This man was literally the sweetest person ever and to have this happen to him was not right. This book with stay with me always. Listening to it while following along made it even more soul shattering than just reading it. God I hope Kacey and Theo find their own love and life after Jonah. He was the light in every room, the smile that everyone needed. I definitely need to hear the second book. I hope it doesn’t shatter my soul like this one, I hope it puts me back together.

I’m speechless. This book was one of the most beautiful stories I’ve listened to or read in a very long time. The way these MCs love each other just provides such a magical experience. Sometimes I need a book that will give me a solid cry; a book that will break my heart in all the best ways. I felt so invested in these characters stories and listening to the audiobook version I think made it that much more special because you could truly hear the love, the heartache, and the yearning. I cannot recommend this audiobook enough if you’re going to dive into this duet!
