This is a beautiful book - gorgeous bright and vibrant illustrations that are carefully matched to the poems. The poems themselves are thoughtful and thought provoking. This would be good for any age to read with adults but especially for 8+ independent reading and I'm sure beyond into teen years as emotions change.

All Of Me is a beautiful children's book full of poems. Each one teaches the reader how to feel their feelings and hopefully also help deal with the difficult ones. It's not always easy to deal with emotions but this book is the perfect guide. It's not only a great book for children, this book has a poem for everyone and I'm sure would help anyone in a difficult situation. Whether it be anxious thoughts or dealing with grief, there's a poem inside to help. Sometimes simple words can make you feel a little less worried and a little more hopeful.

A beautifully written and illustrated children’s book. As an adult, I loved the poems, and the content seems very suitable for children. I’m having my nieces read it.
This is an ARC review. I appreciate receiving this copy from NetGalley and the publisher in return for an honest review.

A treasure trove of poems exploring the complexity of feelings we face in a child-friendly way. The book is beautifully written and the poems are the perfect length to share. I will be purchasing this for school use. Thank you to netgalley for the advance copy. I would highly recommend this to parents and educators.

Daniel Thompson's "All of Me" is a touching and inspiring anthology of 50 poems written to assist children in understanding and coping with their emotions. Building on the success of his award-winning books, Being You: Poems of Positivity and Outside In: Nature Poems, Thompson again proves himself a master at bringing difficult emotions within reach for young readers. The book explores an extensive spectrum of emotions, ranging from confidence and happiness to jealousy and embarrassment, so that all children are able to locate a poem that mirrors their own experiences.
The poems are wonderfully partnered with delightful illustrations, which make the book delightful to read independently or share as a family. Thompson's reassuring and supportive tone enables children to accept all their feelings, instead of attempting to bury them. This makes "All of Me" a more than just a collection of poems. It's a helpful resource for emotional literacy and an excellent present for any child to keep close to them. It's an excellent resource for encouraging honest discussions about emotions and the development of self-understanding at a young age.

The beautiful book that everyone needs! I wish I had had this book growing up. Adult wisdom delicately weaved into magical words for a younger audience. Recommend this book to all! The illustrations are so beautiful and the poems equally as beautiful, enlightening, heart-warming and thought provoking.

Reading this collection aloud to my daughter in one sitting turned out to be a lovely shared experience. We felt some feelings were given more space than others, however the overall structure worked well and kept us both engaged. My daughter especially liked that the first and last poems gave the book a full-circle feel. She said it felt like there was something in it for everyone, even neurodivergent children like her.
The poems themselves are almost entirely rhyming and very accessible. They are not trying to be complex or deep, but they are perfect for the intended audience. My nine-year-old enjoyed them so much that she did not want to stop. Adults should not go in expecting more than simple rhymes, but for younger readers they hit the mark. Julia Murray’s illustrations were sweet, funny and bright. They really matched the tone of each poem and helped bring the words to life.
We each found poems we related to, and I think this could be a great book for families like ours, especially those navigating neurodiversity or mental health challenges. It is something you could easily dip into when a child is struggling with a particular emotion, and I do think it could help them feel seen and less alone. It is definitely written with children in mind and I would happily recommend it as a shared bedtime read. It is both soothing and validating, and that makes it a worthwhile addition to any young reader’s bookshelf.
Thanks to @netgalley and @collinskids for the ARC.

Thank you for the arc digital copy of this book. This is perfect to read to children who are struggling to understand their emotions. Each poem is accompanied by illustrations which are vibrant. The poems themselves are beautifully written. I particularly loved the poem about losing someone you love. I will be purchasing this book for myself.

What a book filled with gems.
I love how poetry has the power to make me feel seen and I think these poems have that power for the youngsters in our life. I was really moved by quite a few of the poems in this book and feel that it holds such a wonderful array of work children to enjoy.
As a teacher, I am now desperate to get a hold of a physical copy of this collection. It will be wonderful for the children in my class to read alone, but I can see so many opportunities for these poems to be part of my teaching.
This is a treasure trove for the primary classroom, filled with poems that will support and encourage the readers.

All of Me is an example of healing, calming, comforting powers of poetry.
This is a book for young readers that is equal parts lovely poetry with poems on important topics, and illustrations that accompany them.
My child and I had a great time sharing this.

All of Me is a poetry anthology aimed at younger readers. It is a collection of 50 poems that all focus in the important and universal theme of human feelings and emotions and tackles the wide variety of them that we experience on a day to day basis. I think this is a very pertinent topic when it comes to poetry for children as children often struggle with understanding and processing their emotions. Poetry is the perfect outlet to help them understand the way they feel and realise that they are not different for feeling the way they do, there is nothing wrong with being angry or sad, it is part and parcel of being a human.
There is a really sweet and consistent illustration style throughout. It brings the poems even more to life and helps the book feel friendly, open, and vibrant. Poetry should be about expression and the use of illustrations is always a bonus for me.
There is a great display of diversity throughout, regardless of your situation you will find someone on the pages that you can see and identify with. You will feel seen, heard, and validated.
All of Me is empowering, engaging, and informative. It is a fantastic vessel to introduce the discussion of feelings and emotions with children.
