Lou and Ben met and fell in love when they were teenagers, the spark was always there until one night everything changed.
Time moved on, they both grew up, and had families of their own. Now they are both back in their local village and the annual Christmas Eve party has been reinstated.
The characters were likeable and I enjoyed how the book went back to the past and was also told from both Ben and Lou’s point of views.
A beautiful and enjoyable Christmas read that shows their spark never really died.

This is a cute romance set in a gorgeous Irish village. There is the local coffee and flower shop, the big house up the hill, and the cute puppies and animals all around. It is a proper Christmas romance with flowers blooming, holly wreaths and planning a big Christmas charity extravaganza. The romance between Lou and Ben is up and down and the past bruises are deep and not necessarily ones that they can get over. The story bounces around in time and the characters are given a lot of charm and kindness and the organising of the Christmas party is the goal with the people dancing around this big event. Such a well told Christmas romance,

There's always been a Christmas Eve party in Ballyheaney.
Lou and Ben saved the date for each other from when they were teenagers - until everything changed.
Years later, Ben tries to revive the party. But the widower with a young daughter needs help, because he only has a fortnight to get everything sorted.
And who's the best person to help? His old friend Lou.
Such wonderful, believable characters who you really root for

This is a sweet, festive romance which will have you wanting to curl up and read on. It is just what you look for in a Christmas romance: missed love, new chances, misunderstanding, good characters and of course, some snow.
Ben and Lou were childhood sweethearts; no matter where they were or what they were doing, Christmas Eve was always theirs. However, then life got in the way. Years later, Ben returns to his family home with his daughter to revive the Ballyheaney Christmas Eve party. Lou is also back living and working in the village, and of course, their friendship is rekindled.
I did enjoy this story, it's an easy read, if a little predictable, although that is what you expect from this genre really. It is a good festive read and worth adding to your TBR list.
