this is such a difference book for me and one im so glad i jumped right in to. and balance i did on the pole of wit, storytelling and flow from this book. it was a great look into this era and i found myself smiling a fair few times at the people described, the places i was shown and the language used. the characters were all so real and daring and i was drawn to their stories. its such a richly descriptive book. i could see it all and feel it all. it was a mans story about needing above anything to somehow be adored? accepted? or just someone? and what he did to get that is so often the case something far against what he should have done lol. and in this case another way would have been alot simpler! but then we wouldn't get these stories.
a new one for me, a new type, genre style and era styling. and i liked it. im really glad i mixed things up when choosing this and the cover aided that choice a lot.
