Dr. Jack Forester has seen his share of trauma as an emergency physician. He's now the dean of a medical school and a single father still grieving the death of his wife. But the real abyss opens when a brilliant former colleague that Jack had flushed from cover as a psychotic serial killer a few years before conspires to destroy Jack and his hospital with the help of a cybercriminal. Jack is also faced with the need to somehow aid his beleaguered niece, Kaitlyn Anderson, a valiant teenager struggling to navigate a horrific home environment. Things grow even more perilous when Kaitlyn gets entangled in the villain's web! Wow! Great read! I needed this book! I was expecting just another ordinary book! What I got was an amazing story! A High-Stakes Medical Thriller with Heart
Frank J. Edwards' "Doctor Witch" is a gripping and fast-paced thriller that masterfully blends suspense, corporate espionage, and a touch of dark humor. The novel follows Dr. Jack Forester, the dean of New Canterbury Medical Center, as he is thrust into a maelstrom of financial crisis, international intrigue, and personal turmoil.

The story kicks off with a series of seemingly unrelated events: a mysterious financial crisis threatens to bankrupt the medical center, a beautiful and enigmatic journalist arrives with a hidden agenda, and a dangerous serial killer with a connection to Forester's past escapes from a psychiatric facility. As Forester races against time to save his beloved institution, he uncovers a vast conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of power and wealth.

Critical Acclaim:

The novel has garnered praise for its intricate plotting and well-developed characters. Christine Sneed, author of "The Virginity of Famous Men," describes it as a "wickedly suspenseful novel that also has enormous heart and many comedic moments." Karen Shughart, author of the Edmund DeCleryk mystery series, compares the plot to a "James Bond movie, but with Frank Edwards's own unique twists and turns."

A Complex and Compelling Protagonist:

At the heart of the story is Dr. Jack Forester, a man haunted by the death of his wife and struggling to balance his demanding career with his role as a single father. Edwards, drawing on his own medical and combat experience, imbues Forester with a sense of realism and vulnerability that makes him a relatable and compelling protagonist. As he navigates the treacherous waters of hospital politics and international conspiracies, Forester is forced to confront his own past and make difficult choices that will have far-reaching consequences.

A Twisting and Unpredictable Plot:

"Doctor Witch" is a masterclass in suspenseful storytelling. The narrative is filled with unexpected twists and turns that will keep readers on the edge of their seats until the very end. The author skillfully weaves together multiple plotlines, creating a complex and intricate web of intrigue that is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally resonant.

Overall Recommendation:

"Doctor Witch" is a must-read for fans of medical thrillers and suspense novels. With its well-crafted plot, compelling characters, and a healthy dose of action and intrigue, this book is sure to satisfy even the most discerning reader. As Matt Barrows, coauthor of "Muddy the Water," puts it, "good luck putting it down and turning in for the night!"
