ARC of this read was somehow fun despite its dark vampy setting and I am really looking forward to what book two has to offer.

This was giving starter why choose, with a touch of how do we navigate this convo energy. I liked out FMC and her little, I can do anything you can do better moments. I have a feeling (and we can only hope) that the next installment of this story will be a we saved the best for last moment.

Overall, I didn't want it to end. Round two here I come.

I really hate to say this but i wanted to like this book so bad. The premise was intriguing, a reverse harem vampire romance with enemies to lovers. The writing was good and so was the spice, but certain things were so repetitive - Gannon’s mistake - Vinny’s history as a fighter - Elias dissapearing act. In my opinion this wasn’t a real enemies to lovers since the FMC is with one of the MMC’s from the very start - I want to feel the hatred and yearning. The romance didn’t do it for me to be honest, since I only like Vinny as a love interest. I hate Gannon and his monologues about taking Vinny out. Elias is okay, but I would’ve like more interactions with him.

This book is pure gateway vampire romance, fast, steamy, and easy to sink into. Perfect if you want spice and tension without a heavy plot, but light on worldbuilding and depth.

The cliffhanger lands with just enough bite to spark curiosity for book two, though it doesn’t fully cash in on all the threads it sets up. At times, the characters’ drives feel hurried, and the emotional weight gets lost beneath the intensity of the moment. Still, there’s real promise in the emotional undercurrents, particularly Jack’s grief and the betrayal surrounding her father’s death.

Final take: Come for the vampires and smut, you’ll be fed. Stay for the promise of more to come.

The Dyslexic that Reads

Ok you guys, this one is naughty! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What I loved about this book:

❤️ The spicey scenes are SPICEY! They're pretty hot.

❤️ The three MMCs are complex. Each in their own way, you have the "perfect" boyfriend (and he really is!), the golden retriever ex-boyfriend who messed up bad! And of course the overly sexy centuries old King Vampire. All calling her "mine" (shiver)

❤️ The MMF is confident and strong, who wants revenge, but who is also sweet. She can't make up her mind and she doesn't want to. I respect that.

❤️ The world building is pretty good, you get a good back story to help understand who they are now as people.

❤️ I'm REALLY looking forward to book two, I hope to see a lot more of the Vampire King.

Things I thought could be better:

🤔 I really don't have anything negative to say about this book, it is what it was meant to be.

😢 I was a little sad to see that the link to the google drive for the artwork didn't work and that I couldn't find it online, but that's not really a huge deal.

Overall if you like naughty books but still require a good plot and story, I'd recommend you read this book.

I got this book for free off of NetGalley for my honest review

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.

Starting off this book, you know that you are in for a good time. Not that it is necessarily the funniest book I've ever read (that is definitely not what it is trying to be), but we got our strong FMC, some sassy MMCs and the usual Vampire Drama. Exactly what I was in the mood for when I picked up this paranormal RH romance.

That does not change that the "1 year later" jump that occurs fairly early on was a little jarring. I would have appreciated a bit more clarification at the beginning of chapter 4, especially as we are essentially introduced to two people whose main energy is "horny". We already knew Jackie, but who is Vinny? Why is he so into her? Why is all that we know about this vampire that he has an eight pack? Luckily chapter 6 treats us to Vinny's POV and I am an immediate fan ;)

Just an fyi for those who like a slow burn: This might not be for you. The spice is (almost) immediate and more than plentiful with at least Vinny and Gannon. Let's see where we go with Elias in part 2. Speaking of part 2, this was very character focused (which I normally love) but the few glimpses of the world around them were really interesting. I hope we get to hear more about the vampires and humans living together in this urban setting.

In conclusion: This was advertised as a spicy vampire why choose and that is exactly what you get. Plenty of steam, many great vibes and the promise of more to come. The ending definitely left me with a lot of questions, so I'll see you all at the next one!

A solid 3.5 stars ★★★⯪☆

I like this more than I thought that i would. I usually only read reverse harems every now and then but the blurb of this story intrigued me. Right off the bat i thought the names of all 4 main character (Jackie, Vinny, Gannon & Elias) were a little cringy. It just made me think of a trashy vampire version of Jersey Shore haha BUT I tried my best to ignore the names and give this book a proper chance. The plot was enjoyable and the characters are relatable which is always refreshing. I wish we would've had more of Elias, I feel like his part in the story stopped at a weird place. I enjoyed how all of the characters were different in their own way and how they interacted and came together in a natural way. (if that makes sense) Sometimes RH can feel a bit cheesy stem it comes to the plot. Overall this book was enjoyable. Thank you Netgalley for giving me a chance to read it.

Wow!! Dramatic…exciting…full of tropes but still a good time. 3 vampires and a kick-ass human fmc fueled by vengeance. It’s sexy and sometimes things are disproportionately dramatic or reactions are wrong place wrong time BUT honestly I was here for it. This had me reading for the story more than the spice (which wasn’t bad but it’s a dang good story)
I wanted to know what happens until the very end and it left me wanting more..plus we love an fmc in a reverse harem who takes what she wants.

Here’s a polished, high-energy rewrite of your review:

---

I NEED the next book, ASAP—this is not a drill!

This delivered exactly what I was hoping for from *A Bond Beyond Blood*. *The Butcher’s Daughter* teased the story, but this one gave me everything I needed. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I loved the characters and how their relationships developed. The reverse harem dynamics felt *real*—the jealousy, the competition, the unspoken words. It wasn’t just a group of guys chasing a girl; it was a complex web of emotions and desires, handled with honesty and actual conversations about their dynamic.

The only downside? It was way too short. The fast pacing made it feel like I’d barely read 100 pages—it left me wanting so much more. Jessalyn, I demand the next one immediately!

This is an ARC review, I am not getting compensated in any way for this review. This is 100% my own opinion. ❤️

I absolutely ate this up! I love Vampires. I love Why Choose. I love age gaps. The ending .... ma'am... ya did me dirty with that one! Literally wanted to throw my phone with the way that ended! like what?! How long until the next one comes out?! I am NOT well.

3 Vampires 🫦
1 intoxicating woman 🖤

1 Vamp is her trainer 🤤
1 Vamp is her ex and childhood best friend
1 Vamp is the King of all Vampires that hasn't been seen in centuries

They all want her ... to feed from, to be with, to love, to have.... what a problem to have 🤣

Go... read it now! you won't regret it!

"Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it" - Confucius.

I couldn't have found a more appropriate quote for this love story... ❤️❤️❤️

Where do I even begin with this masterpiece? The gamut of emotions experienced and I was only halfway through... From tears to laughter to anger to disgust, to swooning over these delicious vampires, the rollercoaster continued all the way to the end. And when I tell you that ending was spectacular, bet your bottom dollar it was worth every second of angst...

I cannot wait for book two!!!

Thank you to Jessalyn Jameson and Net Galley for the privilege of this ARC, it was spectacular!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Before I begin, I would like to thank J. Jameson for sending me an arc of A Bond Beyond Blood via Netgalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Oh, and thanks to my best friend, who read this and the novella (The Butcher's Daughter) before they were combined into one full length novel, and recommended it to me.

I really enjoyed this book.

It definitely brought me back to the days when I was reading the Sookie Stackhouse series. And while this book is dedicated to those who read those books and wanted Sookie to end up with both Eric and Bill ...
that wasn't me.
Bill could kick rocks.

But with these three vampires .... yeah. I'd like to see a happily ever after with these four altogether.

While I sometimes have trouble picturing books with vampires without picturing something cheesy, I found J. Jameson was able to write it in a way that didn't feel that way. In a world where vampire books sometimes feel like the same old story, this is the first one where I felt like we had four different stories. Some with very human elements mixed in.
The seasoned vampire with a debt to pay.
The newly-turned vampire with no one to teach him to control his urges.
The recluse vampire king, who needs to clear out the imposters and take back his throne.
The human who hated vampires and ended up loving three.
All these stories are so interesting to read, and the characters have such different personalities. I will admit to being partial to Elias's chapters, however. Mostly because of his mysterious nature, and his arrogance on page had me snort laugh a few times.

I only really have one complaint about this book, which is hardly a complaint at all.
It's not long enough.
I think if J. Jameson added a little more build up between all of these characters, she could have added a lot more content to her book ... and way more tension. Because while A Bond Beyond Blood is steamy, it just lacks that building tension that I love in a book.

J. Jameson shows a lot of talent. She obviously puts a lot of work and care into her writing, and it shows. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and look forward to the second book in the trilogy.

I guess it's my fault for assuming this book would have some sort of action in it. Three vampires vying for a humans heart- one a trainer, one an ex, and one the Vampire King. The vampires that I'm used to are usually ruthless and can get violent, so when I saw three vampires, that's automatically what I thought. Especially with one being a king, one who other vampires have to kneel to. I thought things would have gotten nasty and suspenseful at some point, but all it was was Jack lusting and sexing these vampires. That's literally it. And honestly, I didn't really enjoy it at all.
Thank you NetGalley and J. Jameson for this ARC.

A Bond Beyond Blood by J. Jameson

This book is a prequel and the previous book 1 merged together (If I understood right) and overall I loved the world, the lore and the types of vampires this series has to offer! I loved that the dedication mentioned some inspo from True Blood and I am so here for it my only issue was that it started to feel a little repetitive and I felt like not a lot happened and was obviously a build up to book 2 which I think definitely has big potential to deliver and I am excited to see where we end up after the ending of this book and how things are handled going forward!

Thank you to the author and Net Galley for this early copy. I really enjoyed A Bond Beyond Blood. This is a why choose urban paranormal romance. Heavy on the romance bit. The spice is 3 chilis for me. Nothing too kinky but lots of open door scenes. This is the first book in a series. The plot is mostly driven by her feelings for the mmcs. Solid 4 star rating.

Spicy vampire reverse harem? Uh, Yes please! The FMC is a badass who is looking for her redemption. This is dark, and super spicy! I'm talking chapters worth of spice. This is one of those that will keep you at the edge of your seat, ready for the next book!

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for the eARC.

This was a good book! The spice is definitely up there so if you want to read a book for spiciness, you’ve found the right one!!

However, I lost interest several times over the course of reading this book. The beginning was great and kept me going but when Eli showed up, I was like “meh”. For some reason, the “hearing her thoughts” conversations annoyed me. The continuous narration about each of the vampire’s looks - their eyes, their bodies, etc… We get it. They’re hot. Also, the pet names for the FMC. Can we read something where the FMC isn’t called “pet” or compares to a bird? I’m kind of over that. Maybe the next book I’ll find, the FMC will be compared to a bear because she’s a big, brawly beast.. I hope so.

Thank you NetGalley and J. Jameson for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book had it all! It’s got Vampires with Spice, drama, epic fight scene, and serious banter between the men.

So I read the novella first, not realizing that this book has been rewritten to have the novella a part of the actual book.. I think having them together works well, but I’m not sure it was necessary. The novella was so good that I was going to read this book anyways.

There is a lot of drama but also a lot of growth in this book. The fact that eventually all of her men come to terms with the fact that she likes the other men as well was perfect! The ending I did not see coming, and there is still one loose end with Vinny, but I can’t wait for book 2 so I can see exactly how that will play out. I also am anxious for the spice with Eli and Jackie.. I think it is going to be epic and it is only right that it gets a book of its own to build up.

I do think maybe Gannon needed to grovel a little more, she forgave him too easy. But they do have quite an intense history that maybe she would have forgiven him quickly.. although we know why he left, thanks to multiple POV’s.. there still isn’t a section where he admits that to Jackie.

I recommend this to any and all Vampire romance fans out there!

This was a strong opening chapter in the Butcher's Daughter series, it had that element that I was expecting and wanted from this type of book. It uses the storyline in a unique way and was invested in what was going on. It uses the romance concept in a way that I enjoyed and thought worked overall. I enjoyed the idea of vampires in this and how the storyline worked together with the vampires and the rest of the characters. I'm excited to read where J. Jameson goes with this series and more.
