Wow, this was pretty entertaining! Top tier laughable moments was brought by Wyatt, Margot's ten your old daughter. Her shaking down Dex to help get rid of a date was hilarious- I could not stop laughing at how she got that money out of him! Now for the MCs you have banter and opposites attract between Margot and Dex. I could see Margot needing a guy who can bring some fun into her life, which is what Dex brought. I also loved that Margot put Dex in his place, this was such a fun read!
The narration of this book by, Felicity Cross and Alexander Cendese was so well done! I loved that the narrators made me laugh and brought this book to life. such a great performance.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this ALC in exchange for my honest review.

If you’re looking for a quick entertaining read look no further! This book had me laughing throughout it! If you enjoy good banter between the characters you won’t be disappointed! While the main characters of this book had their funny moments the scene stealer was definitely the daughter! She was definitely a crack up!! If you are an audio lover I do recommend listening to this one! The narrators were really good! They brought a lot of life to the characters. They really enhanced my reading experience! So if you love sports, single mom, dating app meet cutes look no further!!
Received an arc/alc for a honest review.

This is the first book that I have read of Ms. Ney and I enjoyed it from start to finish.
In this second book of the series that can be read as a standalone read Dex and Margot's story is told. Dex is a professional football player that is looking to clean up his image and have a relationship. He uses a dating app but gets more than he anticipated.
Margot is a single mother who doesn't want to be alone. She is looking for love and ends up on a dating app to find it. She at first meets Dex but does not believe he is who he says he is but after a chance encounter involving her daughter, Margot starts a friendship with Dex that turns into more.
In what starts as a friendship quickly turns into more in this cute read. Dex and Margot were well written characters that had chemistry that they at first fought against. Their story moved along well and kept me interested throughout the telling. I enjoyed how it was not an instant connection and that both characters were believable.
Overall, this was a good read that I enjoyed from page one. I may even go back and read the first book of this series as well.

“Biggest Player” by Sara Ney is a fun, flirty, and easy-to-devour college romance that’s exactly what you’d expect from Ney: witty banter, hot jocks, and unexpected emotional depth.
The story follows Brynne, a smart and sassy single 🧓who’s sworn off athletes, and Tripp, a notorious player (in every sense of the word) who’s more than what his reputation suggests.
What makes this book shine is Sara Ney’s signature humor and the delicious back-and-forth between the leads. Tripp isn’t your typical arrogant athlete! he’s charming, self-aware, and genuinely endearing once you get past the surface. Brynne is relatable and holds her own, never becoming the stereotypical “girl who changes the bad boy.”
While it doesn’t break new ground in the sports romance genre, Biggest Player is undeniably entertaining, with just enough steam, sass, and sweetness to keep you hooked.
Perfect for fans of:
• Enemies-to-lovers or slow-burn romance
• College sports romance
• Witty, dialogue-heavy love stories
• Characters with chemistry and real emotional growth

I love a small town sports romance but I struggled with this one. First of all I wasn't a fan of the narration, it was hard to stay engaged. But then also it could just be Dex. I did not like him. His immaturity was too much for me. There is a way for a guy to be self assured without sounding like an ahole and a man child.
This is a Sports romance, single mum with a small age gap (she is older).

This is book two in the Not Yours series, and Dex and Margot’s story started off absolutely hilarious. It kicks off with Margot calling Dex out, convinced he’s catfishing women with his pictures, when in reality, he made the dating profile as himself.
Football star Dex is looking for something real because he is tired of staged PR romances. He comes across as a little naïve when it comes to serious relationships, and listening to his agent’s dating advice only proves that further. The chemistry between Dex and Margot was fantastic. I loved the snarky banter and witty comebacks, and Margot’s strong, independent personality made her shine. She does not put up with nonsense, and I really admired that about her. I found myself rooting for them to figure it out and make it work, even though Dex could be a little dense at times.
Wyatt, Margot’s 10-year-old daughter, brought even more life to the story. Her outspoken and quirky personality made her such a fun addition. I loved how she pushed both Dex and Margot to grow, and it was heartwarming to see Dex slowly open up to her.The audiobook narration was incredible. Alexander Cendese brought so much personality to Dex that it made me laugh out loud at times, and Felicity Cross was easy to listen to and fit Margot perfectly. Together, they made the story even more entertaining.
If you are looking for a sports romcom with a single mom, lots of banter, and a romance worth cheering for, this one is definitely worth picking up.
Thank you, NetGalley, Brilliance Publishing, and Brilliance Audio for the ALC.

Dex
This story had me laughing out loud.
They meet while scrolling on a dating app and it’s not a good match.
Dex is the star QB for an NFL team.
He is a little arrogant, vain and a lot clueless.
Margot is a single mom to a 10 year old daughter (Wyatt)who is a scene stealer. She is a teacher and pretty no nonsense.
The laughs are plentiful as they navigate their relationship. This is a fun and lighthearted story with very low angst. A good beach read with some spice.

4 They So DON'T Have A Meet Cute Stars!!
Oh My Stars!!! I FREAKING LOVED this book! As a single woman, although significantly older than Dex and Margot, I could completely relate with how they first met thanks to the dating app that Harlow created. These two had me snort laughing so much, especially in the very beginning of their “dates” and when Wyatt gets involved it’s pure gold!!
This book moves at a rapid pace and as Margot and Dex actually do start dating there are moments that I did question how they were managing to build this relationship. Let’s face it, Dex isn’t always the most perceptible guy and definitely has some missteps with Margot. But their friendship that builds into love was wonderful. We get to see Dex’s evolution as he realizes that dating a woman with a child isn’t something to shy away from. Wyatt has a way of burrowing into his heart and their connection and conversations were quite entertaining!
I had the pleasure of reading and listening to this book and the narration by Felicity Cross and Alexander Cendese just made all the witty banter that much more funny because the voices in my head while reading the scenes matched them exactly as they were narrated, sarcasm and all! This is a perfect addition to this series!

This was super fun, and i also loved all the Harlow and Landon mentions, i missed them.
Margot is a single mum dabbling in the online dating world, hoping to find her person. Dex is your classic quarterback playboy on the apps for some fun, but secretly wants something serious. When they both swipe on each other, Margot is certain he is a catfish and sets him straight, but alas, fate has a funny way of making them meet.
This is a quick a easy read if you want something mindless. I love Wyatt, and she wasn't an annoying kid to read about. Although the plot is predictable, it was still enjoyable. Both narrators worked well together.

4 Star Review Biggest Player (Not Yours #2) by Sara Ney
eBook/Audio
This was a well written, entertaining read and listen that ticked a number of boxes for me.
This is Dex and Margo’s story. We met Dex in Andy’s story and I was excited to see what Ms. Net had in store for Dex.
The characters were likeable and easy to relate too. Dex is looking for live and there were times I felt for him as his friends found love and happiness.
What he didn’t count on was falling in love with a single mum. I had a hard time connecting to both Dex and Margot. Although one of my favourite characters was Margot’s daughter Wyatt who stole the book away from our couple; I just adored her.
The banter between them was witty and snarky, often at the same time. Although not my favourite from this author, it may be yours.
The narration by Felicity Cross and Alexander Cendese was entertaining. They did a fantastic job with their narration; bringing the characters and story to life. Their voices are easy to listen to and they brought emotion, passion , drama, humour and romance to their performances.
I received a copy from the publisher through Netgalley.

Biggest Player by Sara Ney is part of her Not Yours series and can be read as a standalone. This is a sports romance with a single mom, opposites attract, and online dating. Margot had a lot on her plate with work, her daughter and trying to date, but she tried. Dex is a single football player looking for love. When they are on a dating app, they match but do they want the same things? She is older and has a child and he is living his best life. I loved her daughter so much. She repeatedly stole the show.
Getting to know each other and spending time together during the first part of the book was fun and witty. They had their issues they had to work through and he had some growing to do. Though both are looking for the same thing, it takes them a bit to get on the same page. This was a fun and charming read.
Happy listening!

I enjoyed this book. I thought it was fun how the two MCs met.
I loved that the FMC is strong and independent and able to stand her ground. The MMC was a bit too full of himself, definitely read as a young guy 100%. However I still liked the development of their relationship and that they got an HEA. The story is well written and performed. I would continue this series as it is released.

Dex is legally the most adorable golden retriever hero, who falls first and hard. I'm not sure I could love this any more. A spunky 10 year old, a successful single mom who would like to find love, but really doesn't need anyone.

This book was a super cute listen. Dex is super fun and child like. He definitely gives off golden retriever vibes. Margot is a little guarded but super relatable. I love the two of them together and Wyatt is a hoot!

2.5 stars for me, rounded up to 3.
The book has good bones. It does.
I am an avid reader of sports romance, so I was excited for this book.
The premise of this storyline is cute and has so much potential. I think where it fell a bit flat for me was the characters.
The characters were a bit tough. I do think that Margot's character was developed fairly well as an individual. I think we needed a little more character development and definition on Dex.
My other issue with the characters is that they felt very detached. There were moments that I thought I could engage with them, but for the majority of the book, it was almost as if they were not truly connected to the plot. Dex was more disconnected than Margot.
As far as the storyline goes. The plot felt disconnected from the MCs. I felt like the author was trying to give us a love story, but the characters were not behaving as if they were in the love story being told - not sure if that makes sense, but that is where I am.
I love Sara Ney, but I just couldn't get into this one. I also felt the plot was missing chunks of the story. For example, we very quickly get the big revelation - Margot finding out about Dax and his agent's plan, and there is this sort of lackluster blow-up, and then BAM. They go to the park, and suddenly all is well? I mean.. what? And for Margot's character to have come off as an independent and somewhat stubborn woman, the fact that she just sort of let him get away with everything with the snap of a finger? I just felt like something had to be missing? & while Dax had a few redeeming events, I kept waiting on some sort of true redeeming arc so that his character didn't come off as such a pompous guy - I think it's in him, but it was not represented in a way that truly carried through to the reader. The pace was also everywhere.
Overall - give this book a shot! This one just wasn't my cup of tea and didn't quite resonate with me as much as the other Sara Ney book I read.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for the opportunity to review this book!
Happy Reading

The perfect blend of sugar and spice. Ney tickles the senses. From fiery to heartwarming, Margot and Dex are irresistible. Biggest Player is a heartbreaker that dares to let it's personality shine through.

Expect 👉🏼 Football Romance, Dating App, Single Mom, He Messed Up
Dex is tired of being the last (single) man standing. It’s time to, if not settle down, at least start looking for a relationship. When the single mom on his dating app gives him a piece of her mind, he is left wanting more. Luckily for him, that more shows back up in the form of a whip smart 10 year old who rescues him and reintroduces him to her mother.
Oh boy, did he ever mess up 😬😅 let’s just say that Margot is a lot more forgiving than I am 🫣😆 I don’t know that I would have given Dex another shot. But I certainly would have require more groveling.
Overall, I enjoyed the light and fun vibe of the story.
🎧 The narrators were a lot of fun. You can tell Alexander puts his whole soul into his narration.

Dex joins a dating app in hopes of finding a match and despite being a professional football player, he also does it as himself and swipes on a single mom, Margot. She also swipes on him thinking this man is 100% a catfish. Their first meeting his hilarious and sparks some conversations between them that turn into dates and it goes from there.
This was a fun, cute, flirty story. I love the banter, but Dex’s immaturity and full of himself attitude kind of rubbed me the wrong way throughout a lot of it. This made me not really buy in to the relationship between him and Margot, she’s a single mom with a 10 year old, she doesn’t need a manchild to take care of, too. Sure, there is chemistry but it felt very surface level.
The narrators on the audiobook did a good job with Dex and Margot and the overall story and I enjoyed them. I enjoyed listening to the story, versus reading it. Overall, it was cute, fun and pretty lighthearted.

3.5 rounded up
This was a spicy, dual POV, pro football player x single mom teacher romance that has two opposites meeting through a dating app and falling in love. I really enjoyed the comic moments in this one, the spunky 10 year old daughter and all the spicy scenes. Good on audio and perfect for fans of authors like Devney Perry or Ilsa Madden-Mills. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review. This is the second in a series but could be read as a standalone.

I said this after the last book of hers I read, but I'm saying it again, I'm officially too old to read her books anymore. The last one I read was college age, and I saw this one that he was in the NFL and she was a single mom, so I expected a little older and wiser. Not so much. Dex was a man-child, and for Margot being a nearly 30 year old single mom, I expected different. I almost shut it off (audio) when he said something about scratching his nads. Like, nope, this is not for me. But I was in the car so I couldn't mess. I did end up finishing, and the only reason I did was because Wyatt was funny and made the book tolerable. If it wasn't for her, this would have been a complete DNF. Sorry to say, she's just not for me. Oh, and in the audio, it had to have been an error, but Margot said potato potato. As in po tay toe, po ta toe, but instead it was po tay toe, po tay toe. That's not how you say the phrase!
