Appropriately named book, your job is to work out who’s keeping the secrets and who’s telling the lies!
When Olive Jones receives a letter informing her that old American sweetheart Joe would like to see his daughter Joanna, who he’s just found out about, before he loses his sight, she has to decide if she should go with her? Biggest problem being, she wants to buy a house, and does she really want to ignite any old feelings after all this time? Her biggest regret is that Josh who she thought of as a friend betrayed her by informing Joe about Joanna.
Added to Olives problems is her ex, Theo is looking for a divorce, will it suit Olive’s plans?
Thrown into the mix is Olive’s mother Flora, who sounds like the least maternal mother ever.

I enjoyed the book, although I have to confess I found some of the family connections confusing.
I enjoyed the factoids throughout the book, very interesting.

This is a very good book with an important message. Always tell your significant other and your children the truth no matter how difficult it may be. I feel like a lot of issues cpukd have been resolved if the main character had beeb honest at the beginning. overall it was a very good book.
