Broken into parts according to main topics such as principals and how to put them into practice, this book talks about a broad range of topics involving AI and the ethics in AI marketing.
It offers solutions, answers and poses important questions.
The main connecting point between the chapters is marketing however this book provides much more information that exceeds marketing.

Thank you Nicole Alexander, Kogan Page Ltd, and NetGalley for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A common theme in this book was education, empowerment, and encouragement. Which reminded me of the company I work at. They’ve created a group chat where we share the AI tools we’re using or discovering or what we have built. I’ve had fun learning and experimenting with the tools they’ve shared and I think this can help reduce the fear Nicole brought up in her book that people might have and build excitement around AI.
I loved the parts about AI being used in creative industries, but I wish she talked more about this. There was an example of Late Night with the Devil using AI-generated promo images and I wish it would have gone deeper into the legal and ethical side of using AI in art. The book also mentioned Coca-Cola’s AI-generated Christmas commercial. I agree with how most people reacted that the magic was missing which is funny since AI is described as “magical”.
I hadn’t thought about the environmental impact and the power demands of using AI, that was eye opening to me.
Overall I enjoyed this book, but thought each section was really short, I wish it went deeper, especially the creative industry. I felt like this book was more of an overview.
This book is great for anyone wanting to better understand the ethics of using AI in marketing. This is more of an overview than a deep dive, so it’s perfect as in introduction to the topic.
