Lovely sequel in the series. Great to catch up with Granny Isla, Olivia and Brodie, Bella and her beau. This time its the tuen to catch up fully on Bella as she is engaged to be married. There are twists and turns along the way. We have more of Granny Islas antics and malapropisms too to keep me giggling too. Perfect read. Here’s to the next in the series. Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange of an honest review.

Snowy Surprises in the Highlands by Lisa Hobman is the fifth book in her Highlands series. I haven't read the previous books, and I had no problem picking up the threads to read this instalment as a standalone novel. This novel follows Bella Donaldson, as she prepares for her wedding following a romantic Christmas Day proposal. However, with problems at work with her boss, and Harris her fiancé distant at times, the path to the wedding is far from smooth... A lovely cosy read with plenty of ups and downs, perfect for fans of Bella Osborne, Jessica Redland and Sarah Bennett.

What is not to like? Romance, family, Scotland castles and a "villain" who will not take no for an answer but will soon get his comeuppance. I loved every minute of the book and it will make a great cosy winter read.

This book starts a little slow and then packs in all of the content as things take pace. It is never quite clear which way Bella is going to turn which makes this such a juicy read. There are missing grandmothers, wedding dresses to try on and everything happens from burning bridges and malfunctioning lifts. Sexy model Callum keeps trying his luck with with Bella no matter how much she insists her heart is elsewhere. On top of that there is a lot going on for Bella’s fiance to deal with too. A really full book which was a joy to read..

I love this series so much and this is a great addition. I think my favourite in this one is Granny Isla and her antics. She is how I want to be when I’m her age!

This series just gets better and better. Bring on the next one.

Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for providing a copy.

Another book in the Highlands series by Lisa Hobman which can be read standalone. We follow our interior designer heroine and her fiance in their day to day routines and meet their friends , some of whom have featured earlier in the series. One major design job comes with its own issues in the form of the son of owners who are transforming a house into a hotel. A few gentle twists and turns, sorting out issues and the story unfolds to its happy ending. A delightful read.

✨ 3.5⭐ Cozy, Emotional & Happy!
“Snowy Surprises in the Highlands” gave me all the wintry feels 🏔️❄️. Bella was lovely 💕 and the Highland setting made it extra cozy—especially in the final scenes.

The story had sweet, emotional moments 😊💔 and Harris was such a sweetheart ❤️. Not heavy on romance, but still heartwarming.

🌟 Thanks to NetGalley, Boldwood Books & the author for the ARC!

This is a very cozy, fluffy romance book that will have you swoon! It is part of a series but can be read as a standalone just fine. I loved the Isle of Skye backdrop and wish I could live there too!

This is the first Lisa Hobman book I have read, and it was enjoyable but not all consuming for me.

Bella is an interior designer and has moved to the Isle of Skye with her Boyfriend, who is a police Inspector.

She lives close by her Granny Isla, who is the funniest character in the whole book, and some of the lines she comes out with had me giggling too, but she does miss her friends who remain in the place she moved from but are only a few hours away.

When she lands a new job with renovating a new hotel, working with an American family that purchased the property. They have sent their youngest son Carlton to oversee the project and become the manager of the hotel. As a former model, Carlton thinks that any woman he chooses will fall at his feet, but he crosses the line with Bella.

With her granny playing her up, trying to deal with Carlton and her new job and trying to get her own love life in order, will Bella make it to her big day ?

I thought the book was well written, and the characters felt authentic. I especially loved Isla and I wanted to slap Carlton. I would recommend this book as it was a nice read.

Just an absolutely lovely, cozy, hygge fluffy delight of a book. 🥰

The drama levels weren’t overly stressful, but still enough to keep it interesting. Which was what I needed in my fiction as we had a traumatic week.

I absolutely adored the discussions around consent after a (thankfully mostly minor) assault. It’s so important to have these conversations, and even though it’s a slightly heavy topic it was done with a lot of respect and compassion for survivors.

Dog Days Are Over is also an incredibly special song to my husband and I, as is “Better Together,” and “Thinking Out Loud” was our first wedding dance.

We both have Scottish ancestry, and spent our Honeymoon in Inverness, so there were so many beautiful things in this book that hit me deep in the feels, and the heart.

A sweet, gentle story about Bella and Harris as we follow their time from their engagement to their wedding. A story about trust, love and drawing strength from each other. Filled with ups and a few downs including 3 missing octogenarians and a man who thinks he's God's gift to women (he isn't, he just hasn't figured that out yet!). Granny Isla is hilarious! I haven't read any of the other books in this series but it easily reads as a standalone. Very enjoyable.
Thanks to Netgalley, Boldwood Books, and Lisa Hobman for the free ARC. All opinions are my own.

I love all the The Highland Series books by Lisa Holman, this book can be read as a standalone book but for me I love to keep up with what the characters I have came to know are up to and I am never disappointed. This book centres round Bella and Harris’s wedding and the utterly brilliant Granny Isla whose comedic comments will have you laughing out loud. This book made me smile, cry and laugh! Perfect book for a cosy night in

If you like your cosy romance books with happy ever after then this is the book for you. Although part of a series, this is book 4, you can read as stand alone. This is Bella and Harris’s story from their engagement to wedding. It also has other family stories woven in. It was a very easy read but not overly Christmas. Could be a bit disjointed in places but otherwise thoroughly enjoyed it. Will read the rest of the series.

Bella is living her dream life on the Isle of Skye with the love of her life by her side, Granny Isla just up the road, and a big job renovating a gorgeous Victorian hotel for an American client. What could possibly go wrong? When her new client sends their son, Carlton, to project manage the renovation, things take an unexpected turn for the worse. The ex-model has set his sights on Bella and doesn't seem to understand the word 'no,' but her relationship with Harris is rock solid and nothing can break that foundation. Meanwhile, Granny Isla's friendship with neighbor Tam Guthrie is blossoming, but when drama hits Pabay View Residential Home, Bella's life is quickly sent into a tailspin. Between unwanted attention from Carlton and family crises, Bella finds herself struggling to keep everything together while wondering if she'll ever find time to focus on her own happiness and future.

Oh I'm crying I love this book I didn't want it to end.
I wish I could see pictures of Bella's dress...
Granny Isla is so funny I was on the edge of my sofa when she disappeared. Gotta love a happy ending though.
I love this series of books so much I really hope there's going to be more.

this is a book in a series but can be read as a standalone. It features Bella and Harris who live on the Isle of Skye. Loved the whole series.

A further installment in the story of Bella and Harris. Bella is loving her life on the island of Skye with her partner Inspector Harris Donaldson and her career as an interior designer. The story line runs from December to December. Bella’s grandmother Isla sparks more than a few laughs with her way of mixing up words and metaphors. A gentle undemanding story line.
