Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for this arc.

What an amazing end to an incredible series. The reader is really taken on a rollercoaster of emotions with this book as you wait to see who will survive and who will thrive in this world.

There was so much drama throughout the book and we see how characters we have come to love struggle and adapt in any way they can. The characters are so well written and fleshed out, it really does make you dread and worry about what will happen to them.

If you love dragons and books with heavy political themes then this series is for you.

I read this as an eARC, thank you Netgalley and the author and I'm voluntarily reviewing this book.

This book made me cry! I won't spoil it but when you get there you'll know. This book had me feeling all the emotions, anger, frustration, loathing for the villains, fear, hope and happiness. It has been a fantastic series and this book was the fitting conclusion to it all.

The relationships and the power dynamics kept you on your toes, the shifting loyalties and those merely trying to survive the turbulent times were heart wrenching.

After the cliffhanger at the end of the second book the third picks straight back up with Griff about to face the penalty for his crime of treason and the consequences of this have a ripple effect across to Annie and Lee.

Annie is wracked with self doubt but thanks to those around her she finds the strength to do what must be done, whilst Lee is trapped in a seemingly impossible situation striving to find a way out.

The book twists and turns with action and consequences, intended or otherwise and faces the brutal realities of regime changes and revolution.

Annie has my heart throughout this book, her strength and desire to fight for the greater good is heartwarming. She is a fabulous character, aware of her flaws and determined to rise above them, willing to sacrifice it all to save those she loves and the ideals she believes in.

An absolutely stunning end to an amazing trilogy, that I will be recommending to everyone.

This book was in no way an easy read, following the turmoils of the continued war, but it was such a worthwhile one. It begins by breaking your heart with an emotional prologue, and the emotions just keep coming from that point. With a new point of view from Delo, we see a new complexity and 'side' to the war, really highlighting not only the sacrifices, pain, and suffering, but also that there is no clear 'winner' or 'loser' in any battle.

As the novel continues, we see everyone figuring out their new roles and navigating their future prospects. The pain and complexity feels realistically attuned with politics and war.

I've been walking around the house babbling to my partner non-stop about the 'political dragon books', and I can't wait to binge-read the trilogy all together, and return to the world in the Aurelian Cycle following Furysong's release.

I fell in love with this series because of Annie and Lee so I loved the chapters with them 😍

The rebellion and politics progress but considering this is the series finale it was rather underwhelming and the pacing was slow at times.

Overall this was an ok ending to the series.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for an eARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

The way this book broke me... I'm not even sure at this point I can say and then put me back together because... I'm still mourning and heartbroken... But first without spoilers as much as possible.

The way Rosaria Munda plays on the string of my hearts is truly magical, dark magic but magic regardless. The political intrigue carried on from book one and two is something else. There are so many twists and turns and heartache and betrayal and love, so much love in the face of ugliness, in the face of war... Whilst it's difficult to talk about this without spoilers, I can say that this story, these characters, they're a revolution and I'll sure be thinking of them frequently.

4.5⭐️. This book had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish and was a really satisfying conclusion to a fantastic YA fantasy series. It has a dramatic plot, a great cast of characters and lots of dragons! It broke my heart in places but helped just about put it back together by the end.

I really can’t say enough good things about this series - the characters are nuanced and complex, the relationships are interesting and feel genuinely realistic, and the political focus challenges the reader to think about what is right and wrong, and what action you can (or should) take where it’s not necessarily one or the other.

I loved getting Delo’s POV, in addition to the return of Lee, Annie and Griff’s. Despite the many challenges they face, I was rooting for his and Griff’s relationship, just as I’ve always been rooting for Annie and Lee’s. Although I’d say these books are definitely more plot than romance focused, there is something that feels truly romantic about the relationships, with lots of yearning and real tenderness.

After such an action packed finale, the ending maybe felt slightly rushed, I would’ve liked a bit more time with our characters in the aftermath, and I would love to see more books in this world. A trilogy that I would 100% recommend to any fantasy lover.

“I just wanted it to be in writing, somewhere. I wanted it to be in writing that it was you. For me. It’s always been you.”

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-ARC of this book.

Furysong is the epic conclusion to a brilliant trillogy. I love everything about these books, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to read them.

This series is fantastic. I can’t wait to reread it in a few years.

These books have become one of my favourite series! I picked the series up from book 1 last month so I could read this book that was kindly given as an arc on NetGalley.

Book one is a fantastic set up but books 2 and 3 flew by! They are such quick reads, I enjoyed every moment. Well, every moment I wasn’t crying. And I was doing a lot of that with this book!

The emotional pay off we got in this final book was satisfying. The story builds up beautifully and amidst the action packed plot we got some gut wrenching moment with beloved characters that felt authentic and heartfelt.

This is an easy to follow, fleshed out story that is very political and action packed. There is a touch of romance but found family is very present in the story, if you’re looking for deep connections you won’t be disappointed! Please pick this series up if you are a fantasy lover!

Thank you very much to NetGalley and DK for this arc copy.

I'm writing this, having just put my kindle down, tears still in my eyes over the absolute masterpiece ending of a trilogy this book was. I can't remember a series that has gripped me this tightly, that has left me feeling so bereft after finishing it, devastated that I will never again be returning to this world and the characters that inhabit it. Munda has written a series filled with the complexities of politics, grief and love and I have adored every single second of it.

Annie and Lee, what can I say about these two that will sufficiently sum up their complex nature and the truly brilliant way in which they were written. Though through the series we have had others POV's crop up, Griff in book two and Delo in this one, Annie and Lee have always been at the center of this story, the heart of the book. Theirs is not a happy story, as steeped in grief as it is love, and Munda never shies away from this, leaning into the bad as much as the good. Neither of them are perfect, both make mistakes, mistakes they have to deal with, mistakes that have lasting consequences through the series, but they are idealists. They both want something better for their city, they just don't know how to get it.

The story picks up almost instantly from the ending of the previous one, which if you know was an absolute killer, and Munda never relents on the pace, the danger and deceptions for one second. It's definitely the most intense book, but it had to be, you couldn't have let all this glorious build up go to waste, and Munda doesn't. Instead she put us and her characters through an emotional rigmarole that had me crying, laughing and everything in between. It's one of the few YA series I've read that actually has consequences, it's not a happy ending for everyone, there isn't a traditional HEA for our main couple, and I think that's one of the things that made me love it more. But those consequences don't just surround the romance, they surround everything, the politics and safety of their home. Munda really shows the danger in blind belief, in thinking that just because something was better than before it's perfect. I'm not normally one for heavy politics in my book, but it works so well in this series thanks to Munda's writing.

It just felt so refreshing not to have it be the usual, boy meets girl, they fall in love, save the world and live happily ever after. As much as the romance plays an integral part in the story, and there's no denying that, it isn't the be all and end all, these characters are so much more than 'love interests'. But there is a romance, one that's woven it's way intricately through all three books. One that has wrenched my heart into pieces more times than I could count and, alongside everything else in this book, this series, something that was so well written. It never took away from our characters, if anything it added an extra depth to them, something softer for us as readers to long for. But the ending is what truly made it for me, how Munda ignored the obvious opening and made it something wholly different. How she allowed her characters agency outside of their romance to admit that they wanted other things, while still managing to make it a happy one.

Even the smallest character has a part to play, and the development through this series, not just of the characters but the world and dragon lore was astounding. I craved every detail we got because even the terrible characters, and there were plenty of them, were so well written you couldn't help but appreciate them. The obvious choice to show this being Power, a character I had a complicated relationship with the whole way through the book. He wasn't terrible, but he certainly wasn't good and his story is one that truly shows the strength of Munda's character writing and development. And I obviously have to give some space to the Dragons right? I loved the lore behind them, how they were bonded with their riders, the ways in which they could communicate. There were some truly traumatic scenes in this one surrounding them and thanks to Munda making them almost characters in their own rights, I sobbed my way through a certain portion of the book.

I feel like this review has been a long one, but honestly? I could go on, and on, and on about how bloody much I loved this book, and the series as a whole. Munda's writing effortlessly transports you to her magical world, where dragons roam the skies, politicians scheme and two people fall in love despite everything keeping them apart. It's a beautiful story, complex in the best way and one that had me on the edge of my seat more times than I could count. If you're looking for a series to eclipse you, one you can fall into with ease, lose yourself in, I couldn't recommend this enough, and I will absolutely be keeping my eyes peeled for whatever Munda writes next.

This is a beautiful story that had me hooked from book 1!!! I loved this book and found the characters and dragons fascinating! This series has been so underrated and genuinely deserves more attention! The story was so well done, and I have recommended this series repeatedly, and after reading this, I will continue to do so with great confidence. A 5-star read for me!!!

To me this trilogy is perfection. The characters are complex and flawed but we still root for them. The world is so beautifully crafted, I am there.
I cannot recommend this trilogy enough, it’s one that will stay with me.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.

An explosive end of dragon fire in this last book of the Aurelian Cycle. So many lives lost and dark times as dragon riders of both sides take to sky over the two countries, New Pythos and Callipolis along with more of the very interesting side story of Freyda and her Goliath dragon (wish there had been more detail about her story and country, disturbing yet fascinating! Though it added to the whole theme of giving rights back to everyone). I liked the addition of Delo as the new POV for this last story, especially as it works well with him and Lee, moving from being the leaders to supporting those that are stronger choices as the leaders (Go Annie and Griff!). Yes, there is much heartbreak with the cruel reign of Ixion, so much heartbreak and I will admit I cried over one particularly hard death but you also see characters rise to the challenge and show their true mettle (Power!!!!!) and making the difference needed for a better world for all. I also liked how romance was not the main thing (though the sweet time with Lee and Annie was a bit of nice break before the grand climax of the story) and that the end was more about the politics needed to make the way for a better future and not just, win the day, big marriage and they lived happily ever after. Annie may love Lee but she is so much more than just that one facet.

A great finale to an explosive trilogy of dragons and a fight for a better world for everyone! I really enjoyed this last foray into the world, even if it broke my heart with those lost on the way. I do highly recommend this trilogy! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy to read and get lost in one more time flying with the dragon riders!

This really is a miseryfest, murders, torture, sheer brutality and evil; I found myself really depressed reading it and was glad to get to the end. Yes, there are a few sparks of joy but not enough to change the tone of the book and the ending seemed rushed.

"Sing to me, Muse, of the Revolutions Daughter."

This book is the gold standard for how a trilogy should be completed. I was glued to this story as it broke me, and it avoided the trap many novels fall into with the ending.

I can wholeheartedly say this was a completely fantastic conclusion to the trilogy, and that Munda holds her own in the plethora of Dragon fiction out right now.

Furysong combines fan favourite tropes with political intrigue and angst, and I'm here for it 👏

🎁 Thank you to Netgalley and DK for my advance eBook edition of Furysong. I'm so happy these books are finally in the UK!
