Page turning, must find out what happens next, or your imagination runs wild! You will not want to put this book down - so plan a few hours or a whole day where you have nothing else to do but read! You will be captivated by Saffi, Last Chance Cove and all the people and suspects she meets along the way. You will be wanting to take notes, fit puzzle pieces together to find out who dun it. Oh and there's alittle bit of romance in there as well. There's twists and turns galore and I truly was not expecting the outcome at the end. Come along for the ride in a cozy beach town where new friends are made, everyone doesn't know all they think they do, and all the twists and turns in finding out who the actual murderer was!

First in a brand new series. Love the setting! Saffii Graywood is trying life in a RV park in a small picturesque town named Last Chance Cove. Lots of twists and turns keep you guessing. Trying to figure out the crime when the characters are super sweet was hard. Looking forward to the next. Thanks #Netgalley and #StormPublishing for the eARC in exchange for a honest review.

Saffi is on the road with her RV and when she stays at Last Chance Cove she's confronted with the body of a dead woman. This is a new author for me but one I’m going to follow. I really enjoyed this entertaining story, the twists and the characters. I hope more books will follow soon.

Saffi, a 3-year widow, is still coming to terms with her husband's death whilst continuing to write her books. She's living in their RV and I have to say that I found the tedious descriptions of how to drive the thing were, well, tedious. Added nothing to the story except to say that yes, women can drive these big RVs. She's booked a slot for a month in sleepy Last Chance Cove somewhere up in the rugged Oregon coast (more tedious details about driving on twisty roads; please don't come to Scotland). Turns out someone with money has pinched her spot so she's shoehorned into a little beach view area for three days. Then she discovers a body on one of her walks, immediately suspected by one and all; there are plenty of quirky characters and there are more than enough dirty little secrets in this apparently oh so perfect little town. She keeps deciding upon someone being the murderer, police have a clear alibi from them so she moves onto someone else. Naturally lies and deceptions abound plus more murders. I found it hard to sympathise with Saffi much of the time, she's almost obsessed with wearing hoodies and clogs, too much repetition of her thought processes, as in all cosy crimes she wades in where she shouldn't, acts more like a teenager at times. An ok quick read on the whole. 3.5* rounded up as it is the first in a series and maybe Saffi will develop into a more convincing person. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy.

Saffi Graywood a widower and author of Aunt Saffi’s Bedside Reader out for her next adventure stoLast Chance Cove. Saffi is still trying to get over her husband Levi’s sudden death. Now here it is he has since Levi has died Saffi again must settle down and start writing. All is going to plan until Saffi’s RV reservations is wrong and this starts off a chain of events that probably would be a good story for her bedside readers. On her first night there she has some commotion. As she runs out down to the beach, she sees a dog that is just lost on his own. That is until she sees that his owner is lying there dead. This sets off a chain of events of who killed Linda the park manager? Saffi has many suspects too many in fact. As she gets closer and closer, she starts thinking that many of the people like Troy and Delilah, who have become good friends of ours can also be part of this murder mystery. Will she be able to help the police solve this mystery and also keep herself out of harms way ? Will she also be able to get out all of the pages that she owed her publisher?

Kim Griswell is a new author for me. I am so happy I was approved to read this book because I love cozy mysteries. I also like the fact that this is a totally new character of me who I just loved. The setting to the story brought me right to this beautiful cove with its lighthouse, sea creatures and colorful characters. Saffi reminds me of Jessica Fletcher. Riding her bicycle around town, talking to the friends she had made while trying to help the police solve a murder mystery. Plus, they are both writers, I felt like I was in last chance Cove, as I kept reading this book it felt so real to me. I liked everything about this book the characters, the setting the plot and wondering who was the murderer. It says that it is the first in the series I hope Ms. Griswell writes many more books on the adventures of Aunt Saffi and her colorful cast of characters.

Thank you, NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the ARC. I look forward to more in this series. Five stars.

A max cast of characters in this gentle murder mystery. The action happens at Last Chance Cove which is aptly named for those who end up there with all of their very heavy baggage, Saffi and her RV are the finders of the body and the diggers into what happens as law enforcement aren’t that keen on looking further than they have to. The plot is complicated and whilst interesting the characters were not very pleasant and I struggle pd to warm to them enough to wish them well. There were lots of threads to pull together to follow what was going on and the ending could have done with more oomph.

Saffi Graywood, a recent widower, is traveling in her RV & makes a stop at Last Chance Cove RV park in hopes of finishing writing her latest book, but stumbles upon a murder instead.

“Perfect” little cozy & quaint town, foggy mornings by the sea. A great new cozy mystery series. The whodunit came in little breadcrumbs & kept you wondering who was the real one with something to hide.

It did feel a little drawn out & repetitive. I felt it could’ve been a tad shorter or a quicker pace- I did find I would struggle to pick the book back up at times because it was moving a little slow.

Thank you to NetGalley & Storm Publishing for this eARC.

Murder at Last Chance Cove is the first book in a series by Kim Griswell featuring Saffi Graywood and she is off to a great start with this series and I cannot wait for the next book in the series. Mature readers will find a home to come to.

Saffi is a writer who has come to the Pacific Northwest to find stories for her podcast Travels with Aunt Soffi and to work on a new book for her Aunt Saffi’s Bedside Reader series. Little did she know on this journey that she would find the community she didn’t know she was missing, and perhaps a new romance to heal from the loss of her husband Levi three years ago.

Saffi barely has time to set up her RV before she is greeted by a mystery of a lost dog in the middle of the night, and then she discovers the missing RV park manager’s body in the estuary the next day. People are quick to declare it an accident because there was a weather warning for sneaker waves and said Linda was careless. Saffi doesn’t believe it is an accident based on the wound on the back of Linda’s head and proceeds to poke around, to the dismay of the detective working on the case There are several suspects because Linda was not a nice person and there is little doubt she will not be missed.

One of the things I liked about this book was the more mature cast of characters. So often us mature readers have to deal with characters who are in their early 20s, which is fine, but sometimes you just want your own age group. When Saffi met Troy, an attractive local man who does fishing charters, she assumed he would only be interested in younger women. Her thought of “She had experience, and she knew how to use it” made me laugh.
.
Ms. Griswell’s description of the characters and the town of Last Chance Cove is done really well so that you feel you know the people and the town. I want Delilah’s coffee in my life! There are so many red herrings in this story that when you think you have figured out the killer, there is a twist that makes you rethink your theory. I loved that Saffi’s potential love interest didn’t follow the standard trope of being the detective in the town, though I do love a good nosy woman/lawman story.

If you’ve spent any time in the PNW you will recognize it in this story. There is an eccentricity about this area that the author nails to perfection. Guiding ravens…check, misty mornings waiting for the sea layer to burn off…check and kooky but lovable people…double check.

Saffi Graywood pulls her RV into The Last Chance Cove looking for a place to plop. She wants peace and quiet to work on her latest novel without distractions. It was a good plan until she found a dead body and the mystery begins.

This was a fun cozy in a promising new series.

Murder at Last Chance Cove is the first in a new series and my first book by the author. The story revolves around a murder that Saffi, the fmc stumbles upon in a new RV park along the Pacific Coast where she hopes to stay for the next three months and finish her book.
The mystery is definitely good with enough red herrings to keep the readers guessing, but the writing fell short of my expectations. I am a huge fan of the cozy mysteries genre and I had high expectations for this book, so it pains me to not give a glowing five-star review. However, I found my attention wandering several times in sections where the narration seemed wordy, descriptive, and a little repetitive. Some sections read like a travelogue rather than a cozy mystery. Perhaps the author wanted to establish the setting as this is the first book in a new series, but I felt it made the book less engaging overall. The pace is mostly slow and the characters aren't that endearing or memorable either, but I kept reading for the whodunnit part and did enjoy the last sections of the book when the pace picked up. I also enjoyed the quirky, slightly paranormal touch with the ravens as well.
I thank Storm Publishing and netgalley for the arc provided in exchange for an honest review of the book.

This was cute! I really loved the authors writing style, it was cozy but also kept me on my toes. At times I felt like I was sitting in the PNW at the seashore. Just beautifully done.

The mystery itself was great, I enjoyed solving it with Saffi, it was fun to not have more details than she did and really work the pieces of the story with her. The only part of the story that had me utterly puzzled was the raven. We’re not introduced to it until chapter 5, and even then we’re really missing a backstory. I would’ve loved some kind of backstory there — whether it’s the mythology behind it or just more detail on how it relates to Saffi — I felt like I was left out of important details. Especially as everyone seemed to totally get it and not think anything weird. Maybe this was something that got cut during a round of edits? Or maybe I just need to go read more about birds. Either way, it didn’t take too much away from the story, but it was a head scratcher at times.

Thank you so much to Storm Publishing for the ARC!

Delightful!
I love a cozy mystery, particularly one with an Inn in a small town but the fact this was at a cove in an RV in a campsite was a welcome change.
Just enough characters to keep the ‘who done it’ interesting and plenty going on without getting confusing.
I found the raven thing a little odd and out of place but over all very enjoyable.

What a fun cozy mystery! I devoured this book in a single sitting. It kept me guessing as to who really had committed the murder. The twists and turns were so fun to read. I enjoyed all of the characters, each of them was entertaining in their own way. They really made the story interesting, and made me laugh.

I'm excited to see where this series goes next!

A nice cozy mystery book. I liked the characters and did not figure out who did it. I did think the book was too long and a little slow reading. This is the first of a series that I will continue to read v

What a pleasure it was to read this exciting new cozy mystery.
Saffi is struggling to finish her book, so she takes to the road in a massive RV, hoping that a tranquil spot will help her creativity flow.
What Saffi doesn't expect is to get mixed up in a murder investigation, one that places a big target on her back.
I had a good time meeting this new main character and I'm hoping there will be plenty more future books.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

This is a new author and new series for me. I was really pleasantly surprised by this new cozy mystery series. I found it to be a little longer, definitely character driven, and a little more engaging than an average cozy mystery. Suffi is an unusual MC, a little older, a widow, on the move as she lives in an RV and very engaged in the world around her as she write a series of books called Aunt Saffi's Bedside Reader a series of weird but true stories and strange facts. This keeps her looking for strange and interesting stories and gives her a head full of strange and useful information that sometimes comes in handy! As we begin, Saffi pulls into Last Chance Cove RV park for a three month stay to explore the Pacific Northwest and find novel tales to share. Unfortunately, she finds that the man she checks in with has just accepted a bribe for her three month spot, the last for the season. Determined she will clear things up with the female Park Manager she had talked to on the phone she takes a three night spot and gets set up. When she hears a scream in the middle of the first night, she gets up to offer help, first discovering a lost half drown pup and then later finding the body of the missing Park Manager. What follows is a wild, complicated mystery in a quirky small town with a lot of different characters and suspects. Suffi is in for a lot of strange happenings, crazy motives, and odd people. She also starts to make some friends in this wildly beautiful seaside small town. I really enjoyed this book and eagerly look forward to the next in the series! Thank you to NetGalley, Storm Publishing, Kim Griswell for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I loved this debut cozy from this author. Not your typical setting and not your typical genre author in a cozy! Saffi’s books sounds so cool and interesting. I felt the relationships between the characters was a little fast and the dynamics with conversations were just a little off. But overall this was a quintessential cozy and I hope we get more!

Saffi Graywood, anxious to find a place to finish her latest book, finds her way to the lovely Last Chance Cove, along the Oregon coastline.
It had been three years since she lost her husband, and it had been difficult for her to get used to living alone. She soon learns that this small town may be just what she needs. Just as she fits in with the locals over morning coffee and gossip sessions, things change quickly when she discovers the body of the RV park manager in the woods surrounding the park. She suddenly finds herself involved in trying to solve a real-life mystery instead of writing about one.
Last Chance Cove is a typical small town where the folks are friendly and helpful as they go about their daily business. As Saffi conducts her real-life investigation, she finds herself in an exciting situation full of drama that is unlike anything she could have ever imagined writing in her own mystery series. Could this experience change her life as a writer entirely?
