This is an awesome book! Right off the bat I will say that I think this book has a fable-like feel to it, which is always meaningful for a younger audience. Just like a fable, this book has a moral that will serve readers throughout life, even after they finish reading this book. Additionally, the author's message of getting past differences and enemies coming together in serious situations is so important, and I give a lot of credit to the author for choosing this message. Yet another great thing about this book was the delivery. The story was a perfect length, and there was an ideal amount of writing on each page. As the reader, I didn't feel confused or overwhelmed at all while reading this book, and I had a fun time reading this story from India. Bravo!

Initially I thought this looked quite cute and was eager to read it, but I do not support books that use gen AI. Hire real artists. There is no excuse for using a machine that scrapes data from other artists without their consent. Do better.

Tiger and Boar in Trouble by Soumya Gudiyella is a true story set in India’s Pench Tiger Reserve, where a tiger and the boar it was chasing both fall into a village well. What follows is a heart-pounding rescue mission filled with quick thinking, community teamwork, and a surprising moment of calm between predator and prey.
This was such an incredibly interesting little story that I hadn’t heard before, and I was completely captivated. It was amazing how calm both animals remained while they waited to be rescued, and how the entire village gathered to watch the unfolding drama. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous—vibrant, rich, and full of movement—and it was fascinating to learn that the author used digital artwork and AI tools to help bring this wild adventure to life. I admire her creativity in using modern tools to share such a compelling story with readers far and wide. I also loved the included glossary, which introduced me to new words and pronunciations that deepened my connection to the culture. Both kids and adults will walk away having learned something from this beautiful, culturally rich tale.
