This was a really lovely book, as it made the reader feel as if they were being taken back in the past to explore and discover a civilisation where links with current day can be made. The age for this book would be 8-11. The sentences were constructed to use clear language which was not confusing leaving the information to be understood. Key vocabulary was highlighted in bold so pupils could extend there own knowledge although the book did that. The pictures were colourful and would draw the pupils attention to the images. A spread of knowledge was covered and this information could be used for developing reading a cross-curricula way.

A lovely little book perfect for younger readers. Packed full of information presented in an appealing and attention grabbing way. A bunch of eye catching illustrations throughout. Enough interesting information to keep the reader engaged,

As a children's book, this is a brief, but bountiful book about ancient Greece.
Alphabet, theatre/the stage plays, mythology, you name it - you get surprisingly detailed but also charming information about ancient Greece.
The art style is authentic. It took me a while to get used to a couple of the facial expressions, but then I appreciated the freshness of them.
The colours used, the maps, the figures are all exciting to look at.
Was perfect for my 10yo child.

Thanks to Netgallery for this ARC.
This is a great informative book about Ancient Greece. Found it to be fun and very factual. Loved the illustrations.
