A bit too posh for my personal tastes - I didn’t find much in here that I would like - but I think it would make a great gift for someone from Philly or who likes these more high-end cocktails. The book was also laid out nicely with interviews and pictures of the drinks, making it a cool gift or bar book.

If you are not giving access to the 256 page book but instead a 5 page sample, that needs to be stated somewhere in the description! Very underwhelming compared to what I thought I was going to read and review. The pictures and drink info that were given made me want to see more.

This is a cool concept and I was looking forward to perusing the recipes, but unfortunately this is only a 5 page sample and not the full book so I don't feel I can adequately review it. The layout and photography is very appealing, but I can't speak to the content. I wish the published had noted it was only a sample.

I was a bit disappointed that this was only a preview. Having only 5 pages available it doesn’t allow the reader to provide solid feedback. The pictures are fabulous.

This was only a 5 page preview which honestly makes it pretty difficult to rate on anything other than the photography. I would have appreciated a note in the description that this was only a preview—and shorter than most, not even including examples of the different types of content in the book. I am interested in perusing this book once released but I would have a difficult time recommending it on just the limited preview.

Thank you to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for a preview arc in exchange for an honest review.
4 Stars due to limited preview copy
I love these city cocktail collection books from Cider Mill Press. This was a sneak preview (5 pages) of the Philadelphia version. The chapters are broken up into different areas of the city with local bartenders submitting unique and special cocktails. The recipes that I was able to see was very interesting with a fat-washed rum. It includes an introduction, ingredient list, glassware, garnish and easy to follow instructions. The included photo is stunning. I can not wait for the full edition and more from this thrilling set of cocktail books. Cheers!

This was a great sneak peak at Philadelphia Cocktails. The photos were beautiful and the history and information offered for each cocktail and the location you can find them was interesting.
Thank you NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for the ARC.

While I was only able to access the first five pages of Philadelphia Cocktails, what I did see was beautifully curated, informative, and enticing. The layout is sleek and elegant, and the writing immediately draws you into Philly’s vibrant cocktail culture. I loved the attention to detail in highlighting local bars, signature drinks, and the craft behind each creation. It feels like a love letter to the city’s mixology scene.
From the preview alone, it’s clear this book is more than just a recipe collection, it’s a celebration of Philadelphia’s cocktail artistry and the people who make it come alive. I’m excited to get my hands on the full version someday to explore all the recipes, bartender interviews, and insider tips.

Thank you netgalley for an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.
This sneak peak of "Philadelphia Cocktails" was great! I love the cover and design. Looking forward to reading this further.

This sneak peak of Philadelphia Cocktails was great! The presentation for each cocktail, the visuals, interviews, and description of the drink and the restaurant at which you can find it and how you can make it at home was well done!
I recommend this book for fans of Philly, travel, and food & beverage books, ! It's a cool way to celebrate Philly's history and restaurants! Thank you Net Galley and Cider Mill Press for the opportunity to review this sneak peak!

Such a fun book! I’m from outside of Philadelphia so I really liked the history along with the drink recipes. Can’t wait to try them out.

I will be purchasing this book ASAP for so many of my friends and family!
I was only able to get a sneak peek, but what I saw, it mixes both history AND recipe, and to me that is the perfect combination.
As a Philadelphian, this combines both parts of our "culture"--where we came from and what we like to do ;)
If you're looking for a fun purchase, this one is for you!
