This is a truly beautiful book, it is visually spectacular with some stunning cocktail photography and a lot of stunning festive cocktails. Each cocktail is given a witty seasonal theme and gentle humour flows through the book. The cocktails themselves are wonderfully varied so regardless of personal preferences something will be sure to please. I made one of the recipes 'Dont wine, it's Christmas' and found it to be easy to make, tasty and deliciously potent!

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

Five stars! Yule Need a Drink is the holiday survival guide I didn't know I needed. As a teacher, December is a special kind of chaos, a beautiful nightmare of glitter, sugar-fueled teens, and carols that have been stuck in my head since the end of November. This book isn't just a collection of festive cocktails; it's a lifeline. It's the literary equivalent of that first blissful sip of something strong after the last bell rings for winter break.
The recipes are fantastic, but the real magic is in the humor. The author gets it. They understand the unique brand of exhaustion that comes from explaining for the hundredth time that, no, you can't eat the glue stick, it's for the gingerbread house craft. I laughed out loud so many times I'm pretty sure my neighbors think I've finally lost it.
If you're a teacher, do yourself a favor. Buy this book. Get a shaker. And prepare for a holiday season that's merry, bright, and slightly less likely to end with you hiding in the supply closet. You've earned it!

I have been searching for a book like this for YEARS for my holiday parties. Stuffed full of seasonal drinks - with seasonal sassy names - this cocktail guide is more than just your recipe list. It is a full-on holiday therapist. With sections talking about surviving your family and wishing you were anywhere but here (there's a drink coined "I wish I stayed home with my dog"), this humorous take on yuletide mixers will leave you laughing, even when you want to cry.
