This is a supernatural murder mystery. This is book 10 in the nightmare, Arizona cozy mysteries. This really focuses on solving our mystery with a light touch of romance.

Stepping into the middle of a cozy mystery series can be tricky. It’s either easy or very confusing. But this book was very easy to step right into and I might go back and read the rest of them! I was captivated by this haunted little Arizona town right from the start!

This is the tenth book in the series and I have loved every second of them! Very quick reads with an array of entertaining characters. The mysteries are all intriguing and I really couldn’t get enough of this series. Highly recommend especially for fans of Danielle Garrett, as the authors have similar writing styles. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was perfect for the role!

I was given an advanced reader copy of this work in audiobook format via Netgalley free of charge in return for an honest review.
The narration is excellent and really brings the world of the story to life as well as giving each character their own manner of speaking and voice.
I didnt know that this was book ten in the serries and normally I would have just said " Sorry I cant review this " but something told me that it wouldn't be a problem. I am happy to report that something was right.
And so i found myself in Nightmare Arizona. A Western town with a thriving history that brings in the tourist and plays host to a wide array of supernatural creatures. This quirky town soon won me over and I couldnt wait to explore and get to know about its residents.
I was settling in when a body was discovered and a firestarter decided it was time for some practice. Things got more intresting as the story built.
This is a perfect cozy mystery and its very well written and I enjoyed it very much.
Perfect read for a lazy evening or the run up to Halloween.

Another wonderful book in this series. I enjoy the plethora of characters and their personal quirkiness. A quick listen for the cozy needs!

Body at the bakery is such a cozy, fun time!! Beth Dolgner continues to expand the lovely stories within the Arizona Nightmares universe. With Mama Dolton being the mother/grandmother everyone wishes they had and Olivia and Damien's love continues to blossom. In this particular instalment, we investigate a murder at a bakery, while there is a suspicious visitor simultaneously trying to buy out the major attractions of the town. Is the visitor causing all this trouble, or has one of the locals gone mad? This book was a joy to read, beautifully narrated, kept my detective gears going and put me through a fit of giggles!

This series is always centers around a fun cozy mystery with quirky endearing characters, I have reccomended them to my daughter who also loves them and am excited to let her know Beth has another winner for her to read!
Thank you for listen

This was a fun cozy paranormal murder mystery. I didn't realize it was the 10th book in the series when I started it. I don't think I missed too much with the story but I plan on going back and reading the whole series. The characters were fun and I loved the setting of a town filled with paranormal creatures in the middle of the desert. It was a lovely low pressure murder mystery with a great cast of character. I really enjoyed the mystery and the wide breath of different fantasy character. I would highly recommend this book and hopefully soon I can recommend the whole series!
Thank you Tantor Audio and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and Tantor Audio for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I was pleasantly surprised by this book, I didn't know what to expect jumping into this series at book #10. All the characters were fun to read about and I look forward to going back and starting this series from the beginning to learn more about everyone!
The mystery itself was pretty easy to solve, I figured out the arsonist after the second fire, the character made me not want to put the book down! Pretty short book but definitely a cozy spooky mystery, seems like the perfect fall series. Although I figured out the arsonist, I wasn't 100% sure who the murderer was. Definitely recommend this book for a light, easy, paranormal read!
Thanks again for this ARC audiobook!

Another fun addition to the series. While the mysteries are the main focus of each book, I have loved the continuing storyline of Baxter’s disappearance and getting to know the community; this is what keeps me coming back to the series. The mysteries are well-plotted and fun to follow along but the residents have become friends and now that I’ve caught up with the series, I will miss them until the next one (hope that there is a next one!). This is a great series but start at the beginning to really understand what is going on in town and let it all develop.

I always love coming back to the town of Nightmare! Like the other books you can pick this one up and not be lost. Can’t wait to comeback and see what other trouble Olivia gets into!

Come visit Nightmare Arizona where you’ll find a mix of human problems and paranormal people/entities.
Olivia is happily working at the Sanctuary and waiting for a special egg to hatch when she witnesses an argument between a landlord and renter. The next day the landlord is dead.
The book is a lovely mix of character interactions, paranormal moments and sleuthing.
Olivia solves the case before the police.
I enjoyed the narration of the audiobook.
I have only read one other book in the series but didn’t feel lost in the storyline. Check out Nightmare, Arizona if you get the chance and like paranormal stories.
Thanks to Netgalley and Tantor Media for the opportunity to read this book.

Body at the Baker is the tenth book in Beth Dolgner's Nightmare, Arizona series. When a hated local landlord is found dead inside the local bakery Olivia and the crew must come together to try to solve the case. The town is also under threat from an arsonist that wants to burn down historical buildings. On top of the crimes Olivia's boyfriend is investigating what happened to his mother. They finally located his father Baxter but he is in his phoenix form and is unable to assist.
This is a really fun series. If you are a fan of found family and paranormal mysteries it is perfect for you. Olivia is a great fmc and I really love the relationship she has developed over time with Damien and all of the other citizens in Nightmare. I have also loved watching her magical powers progress. I enjoyed the mystery of the book. It had some interesting layers and twists. The book has a nice fast pace with a good mix of mystery and personal story. I loved the ending but I won't spoil anything about it here. I have read some of this series as ebook and some as audio. I have to say I prefer the audio. Petrea Buchard does an excellent job with the narration.
Thank you to NetGalley and Tantor Audio for the ALC in exchange for the honest review.

I didn't realize this was a book in an interconnected series when I jumped on the opportunity to listen to this, it sounded interesting and I didn't think to look more into it. I'm glad it is part of a series though because now I can go back and check out the others. It wasn't confusing and I was able to catch onto everything super easily from the start. The characters are fantastic, I love the banter and how you get the found family feel from them.
The story for this book involves a murder at a bakery, and we follow Olivia as she tries to solve the case. She isn't alone in this endeavor which makes it much more of a fun read, and it gives such a cozy mystery vibe. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to dive more into Nightmare, Arizona and Beth Dolgner's other works.

Awwww! What a sweet conclusion to an excellent series. I’m going to miss the sanctuary gang.
An obnoxious man is in Nightmare trying to buy up the historic properties. The bakery and general store proprietors are worried about a rent increase. And the buildings’ landlord seems to be at the center of it all. When he turns up dead Olivia and the sanctuary gang must solve the case, and keep an eye on Baxter.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley.

That was such a cute little story!! Really enjoyed it! Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for early arc

Anyone who’s seen my reviews knows I’m a romance reader but I also love a good supernatural cozy mystery. When I found this series I was like yes I’m going to read this all in one go but there was only 8 books when I found it so it was nice to come back and read the last two. So when I got this ALC I was so excited I get to back to nightmare and finally see how it finished. Let me tell you I was not disappointed!! I loved the narrator and the way this series ended! I’ll be looking for more from this author in the future!

I loved this book so much! It's the final book in a 10-part series. It is a paranormal cozy mystery. I listened to the audio, which is published by Tantor Media with a run time of 5 hours, 8 minutes. The narrator is Petrea Burchard. I cannot say enough about the narration from Petrea Burchard, it brought the world of Nightmare, Arizona to life. The narration gave more cozy to this cozy mystery and made me love the ending of this series even more. I am thankful to have been given the opportunity to listen to this ARC on NetGalley. #BodyattheBakery #NetGalley”

Short cozy mystery! Loved the characters and the vibes. Would definitely recommend this for a listen to friends!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Hauntingly Good Time in Nightmare, Arizona!
I received an advanced listener copy (thanks #Netgalley ) of #BodyattheBakery, and even as a first-time visitor to Beth Dolgner’s Nightmare, Arizona series (this is book 10!), I had no trouble settling into the quirky, supernatural charm of this desert town.
The story kicks off with a bang with a murder at the local bakery and an arsonist threatening to burn down Nightmare’s iconic historic buildings. Add in a dash of amateur sleuthing from Olivia and Mama Dalton, and you’ve got yourself a cozy mystery with just the right amount of spook and sass.
What really won me over was the found family vibe. The characters both living and… otherwise were full of personality, and I enjoyed watching Olivia balance crime-solving with helping Damien uncover the truth about his long-lost mother. The supernatural elements are light enough not to overshadow the mystery but definitely add flair, especially with the staff from the Nightmare Sanctuary Haunted House getting involved.
The narration in the ALC was easy to follow and brought the town and its citizens to life with great pacing and emotion. I really liked the narrator especially for voicing multiple characters.
Overall, this was a fast-paced, fun mystery with a spooky twist. If you’re a fan of paranormal cozies with heart, humor, and haunted houses, Body at the Bakery is worth sinking your teeth into. :)
