A romantic novella! It was fun to see a great twist on the billionaire trope. I liked how individual Ingrid and Cecilia's personality's are portrayed. Their vulnerability and honesty with each other was refreshing! A short, but impactful story.

I enjoyed the story I just wished there had been more of it.
I thought it was a good twist on a traditionally heterosexual storyline, and I enjoyed that it was refreshing from that point of view. It just felt too rushed for me, I wanted to get to know all of the characters a bit more and explore Ingrid and Cecilia as people and within their relationship further.
Honestly Becky (not sure if that is the correct spelling, apologies if not), she deserves her own book!
Thank you Victory Editing and NetGallery for the chance to listen to this Audio ARC.

This was so adorable! I love how they both grew on me so much (especially Ingrid), and seeing their love blossom felt so wholesome. And I really appreciate this book skipping the miscommunication trope; it made it enjoyable from start to finish, without wanting to throw your book at a wall.

The Impossible Match by Rochelle Wolf is a slow-burn romance about Ingrid and Cecilia. For a short story, it was such a good and cute read. I genuinely enjoyed reading how Ingrid and Cecilia start their arranged marriage as cold and distant, then build their love throughout the story. Ingrid seems cold and snarky, but Cecilia changes her throughout the story by just being her genuine and kind self. Not often do you listen to a book about an arranged marriage between two women.

The narration was great! I enjoyed the narrator's pacing and tone throughout the audiobook. Overall, 4/5 stars simply because I wish the book were a little longer. I would have loved to listen to more of Ingrid and Cecilia's life together.

3.5 stars, rounded up

I really enjoyed listening to Impossible Match. It's a short and super quick listen, and was overall a really good time. I do wish it had been longer and that there had been more backstory to Cecelia and Ingrid's story.

This was such a fun, quick, sapphic read! I loved how ambitious both FMCs were, and the spice was spicing!

Thank you to the author for the ALC, all opinions are my own!

Novellas are a tricky beast, nuance can be elusive with such a finite word count.

Things I Loved about Impossible Match
- Right off the bat, I'm thrilled to consume any work that includes Canadian content. I think this is a case of, 'you never know how starved you are until you sit at the buffet' or some such simile.
- Sapphic love story with a forced proximity / arranged marriage trope in Toronto and a happy ending? Elated. Overjoyed. To the moon.
- That cover. Damn, that's a good cover. 8/10, no 9/10.
- The author sounds like a gem, starting out as a librarian and making a full-time job of writing is the dream and I'm so psyched to support her!

Things I Didn't Like about Impossible Match
- As someone who favours multidimensional, layered and highly complex characters - Ingrid and Cecelia are not that. They're just two stunningly beautiful gals, scandalously wealthy who inexplicably can't seem to find love. And for some unexplained, unexplored reason, their families decide on an arranged marriage?
- The plot is so thin I'm out here yelling into the void, "Plot? I don't know her, who is she?!" There are so many plot holes and I have so many annoying questions.
- The plot holes having me shaking my head in emotional exasperation due to the threadbare logic holding this novella together. The whole wedding situation? Hot mess. It was entirely sewn together with hope and a prayer, and nary a stitch of logic. I could go on but I don't want to spoil the twisted logic soup for anyone.

Overall
This didn't make any linear sense, and while I admit to being a plot picker and character development assassin, this was still sweet. The novella doesn't provide a lot of time for Ingrid and Cecelia to get to know each other (though, this is lesbian relationship so who's to say it's not an entirely accurate timeline IYKYK 🤣) the development we get is paced reasonably well. The chemistry doesn't jump off the page, but it's clear it's there, even if it's more tell than show.

Basically, if you're just in it for the medium feels, and a quick shot of two hot women falling in love, it's not a bad way to spend a couple hours. And the performer did a good job!

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Victory Editing and the author for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest, cheerfully unhinged review.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this audio ARC.

This sapphic novella has lots to enjoy.

For being so short, I think the characters and the plot were able to develop quite well.

There is an abundance of pining and yearning for one another. They are both nervous to cross the line, despite being married. Worried that all of it, for both of them, is simply a business transaction. The tension is growing and can be cut with a knife. All they have to do is talk to one another. When they finally communicate, their chemistry is electric. Fireworks were going off.

I enjoyed the narration! The characters and their personalities were easily distinguishable.

Tropes:
- billionaire romance
- marriage of convenience

I listened to the audiobook version of this. While I typically don’t enjoy millionaire type romances, I did really enjoy this one. I think because this was a shorter book, this was just like a little slice of life view at the rich people lifestyle. That made it more tolerable.

solid 3 stars, not much plot but a really great palette cleanser!

thank you to netgalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!

This was so much fun! I had really high hopes for this one since all the tropes sounded like so much fun. The narrator is also super lovely and I could really tell who was speaking. This little book was hot and fun and I would definitely recommend it when you're looking for something short and sweet!

Thank you Netgally for the ALC to review!

Unfortunately this book was lacking for me. If it had maybe 100 pages more of backstory and depth I would have loved it!

That being said the spice was great and I did enjoy the book!

Short n’ sweet sapphic arranged marriage. Didn’t hit the feels as I thought it would but it’ll do for a fun, quick read to achieve any reading goals

Overall this was a fun listen. I liked the progress of the story, but I did want a bit more for an ending. But I would definitely read more from this author and maybe try a full length novel. Loved the representation through out the book and the fun play on an arranged marriage.

This was a short and cute sapphic romance! I haven’t read a plot like it before and was really interested when I read the summary. However, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I understand that it’s meant to be a shorter story, therefore it would make sense for it to be fast paced. However, it still felt rushed and I feel like I didn’t get a ton of character development.
If you’re looking for a quick, cute standalone story, this might be it for you! I think I was just expecting a bit more.
The narrator was good! I found their voice calming and it was easy to stay focused on the story. Definitely one of the better narrators I’ve listened to!

Thank you so much for providing me with an advanced audiobook copy of Impossible Match. I appreciate the opportunity to read it early. Unfortunately, this one didn’t quite work for me, and my personal rating would be around 2 stars.

Since the release date is this month, I’d prefer not to post a public review that may not be helpful in promoting the book. I truly appreciate you considering me for this ARC and would love the chance to read and review future titles from your team.

Thank you again for the opportunity.

✨ Arranged marriage? Check.
💸 Billionaire romance? Check.
🌈 Sapphic joy? Absolutely.
Impossible Match by Rochelle Wolf was such a delightful surprise! I received the audiobook ARC via NetGalley and Aurora Inkwell Media, and I am so glad I did.

This was my first arranged marriage romance—and the fact that it was sapphic made it all the sweeter. Ingrid and Cecilia had such a fun, dynamic chemistry, and I was immediately hooked by their banter, tension, and eventual softening toward one another.

Special shoutout to August Roy, the audiobook narrator, who absolutely nailed it. Her narration brought the characters to life with so much personality and warmth. I genuinely smiled through so many scenes just from the way she delivered the lines.

It’s a short read, but it packs in the charm, and I flew through it. If you're looking for a sapphic romance with a unique setup and a narrator who makes it even better, keep an eye out—Impossible Match releases August 14, 2025! 💕

A cute, if outlandish, sapphic arranged marriage novella. This was a quick listen, and I enjoyed suspending my disbelief for a few hours.

To be published 14 August 2025.

A sapphic marriage of convenience story between Cecilia and Ingrid, who engage in an arranged marriage at their parents request and very quickly fall into attraction (has to be quick at 115 pages). I was rooting for more of their chemistry and while there were strong moments, it didn't always feel authentic.
I really do think that if this were a longer book, it all would have come together better. The supporting characters were interesting and the pace was really good, it just needed a bit more time.
