I absolutely love this authors books and couldn’t wait to read this and read it in practically one sitting. This author always takes the reader on an emotional rollercoaster and this story was no exception and was a very emotional tear jerking read describing and delving into the special bond between sisters and the heartbreak of love loss and infertility. This was an emotionally charged read that also explores the difficulties of making moral choices and knowing if the choice you are making is the right one.
This book will stay with me for a long time to come.
Looking forward and counting down to the authors next book already

I admit, I did shed a little tear during this book. There’s so much loss in Kenzie’s life and you can’t help but feel for her.
The book’s ending was inevitable but it was enjoyable
3.5 stars

This is a heavy book. The characters are very real with their reactions to all that life is throwing at them. The decisions they are forced to make were hard and emotionally driven. Kenzie is the main character and she makes decisions that not everyone will understand or agree with but they are her decisions and she stays true to what her heart says.
My Sister’s Only Hope is a wonderfully emotional read. I was invested in Kenzie’s choses, whether I agreed with them or not. It was her life to live and she made the choices that worked for her, I respect that. There were things I would have done differently or choices I would have made differently. The ending threw me off, I am not sure I would have been able to follow that path but it worked for Kenzie.

My Sister’s Only Hope is an emotional and poignant read that pulled at my heart strings from the very start . Alison Ragsdale really brought this story to life as she vividly described the characters and their feelings throughout the book . This book pulled me right in from the first page and I finished it in one sitting because I was so eager to find out what the outcome would be .

This was definitely an emotional book, more than I expected. If you have fertility struggles or have lost a loved one, this one may not be for you. As hard as parts of this one was to read, I really enjoyed it. I was sucked into Kenzie’s turmoil and suffering. Wanting to help her sister was incredibly noble, but when her sister died, everything changed. She had such big decisions to make that would turn her life upside down. I don’t know if I could have made the decisions she did, but I also didn’t start with the same mentality as her either.
I desperately wanted a happily ever after for Kenzie (or as happy as it could be without Olivia).
This is the first book I’ve read by Alison. I’m glad that I took the chance on it. Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for my copy of this book.

Ragsdale is a relatively new-to-me author and this is only my second read by her. But what a read it turned out to be!
This threw my emotions into turmoil and had me twisting my mind into knots...what WOULD I do in a situation like this?
Secrets were waiting to be revealed, lies had been told and the drama was through the roof. It sure was one hell of a journey.
The characters were superb and came with a sense of realism...not that I'd want to wish this on anyone I know...it was heart wrenching stuff.
Powerful reading.

OMG I have literally no tears left! I cant even start another book as I'm still processing this one! Just go and read it you will not be disappointed at all. Just have a box of tissues beside you

REVIEW
Review for 'My Sister's Only Hope' by Alison Ragsdale.
Well ladies and gents if you are looking for an absolutely emotive, unique and brilliant page tuner then you have definitely come to the right place!!! This book has been beautifully written and it completely drew me in with its vivid descriptions. The storyline and synopsis worked perfect for this book.
JEEZ ALISON WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?!?! I mean, seriosuly!! I NEVER cry unless it involves animals OR Alison Ragsdale!! Seriously, it is shocking!! The second my partner knows I am about to read a book by Alison he automatically makes me a cuppa and brings the tissues as he just KNOWS its going to end in tears!!! Each and every single time!!
Alison Ragsdale does it yet again with an absolutely beautiful storyline that will keep you hooked. I normally discuss the storyline a bit more in my reviews than what I am going to in this book and that is because anything outside of what the publisher has already mentioned in the synopsis will give too much away and I refuse to put spoilers in my reviews as I just find them unnecessary as well as annoying for both reader and author!! The storyline itself is stunningly devastating, emotional, beautiful and it had me on the edge of my seat throughout. It is such a powerful storyline that will stay with me for a long time if not forever!!!. It was filled with love, heartbreak, courage, grief, family, strength, acceptance, twists, secrets, forgiveness, healing and just so, so much!! Alison really has put so much emotion, research and drama into this brilliant book that it kept me absolutely hooked throughout!! I was completely absorbed throughout. If you have ever read any books by Jo Jo Moyes, Nicholas Sparks and/or Jodi Picoult to name a few and enjoyed them then this book is definitely for you!! Alison's powerful, emotive and evocative descriptions really does put you in Kenzie's place in the book and the emotions that were pouring out of the pages and into myself are unbelievable so make sure you have those tissues by your side ready and the rest of your day cleared!! I was absolutely dragged into this storyline and my heart was in my throat on several occasions and I just HAD to know what was going to happen in the end. Alison really does have such a talented gift in being able to write these absolutely stunning stories that absolutely absorb the reader. Every time I came to the end of a chapter and thought I could put it down I just couldn't stop thinking about what came next and would just have to pick it back up again. Alison always writes such thought provoking books and always leaves the reader questioning what they would do if they were in that position. Make sure you clear your schedules before turning a single page on this beautifully gorgeous tear jerking page turner!!! This book would make an absolutely stunning movie, as would all of Alison's amazing books and I would definitely be first in the queue to watch them!! An absolutely incredible author who tugs on my heart strings each and every single time I pick up one of her amazing and powerful books!!
An absolute roller coaster ride of emotions, make sure you have the tissues ready because you will need them!!!
The characters were well defined, realistic and strong I absolutely loved Kenzie who was such a strong and passionate woman who was so strong and courageous. Every one of these characters had their own unique individual personalities, flaws, strengths, hopes, wishes and weaknesses and I loved getting to know them all! My heart was completely broken reading their story but where there is rain always look out for the rainbow and watching the bond develop between these strong characters was beautiful to watch. I won't say more than that as I don't want to spoil it for future readers. This book absolutely grabbed my heart and mind and didn't let go while bringing tears to my eyes and I do not cry easily unless it comes to animals. So do make sure you have tissues at the ready!! Although this book brought me to tears I also think that it ended perfectly and would absolutely love to see this made into a film!!! Alison this is why your my go to author for a tear jerker and one of my favourite authors ever!!
Congratulations Alison on yet another gorgeous success and here's to your next one 🥂!!
Overall a devastatingly, heart-breaking and yet beautiful story that will stay in your mind for a long time!

“The winter morning bright, welcoming them to the day, and to their future, as a family, wherever that took them.”
What a beautifully, tragic yet hopeful story. A story of love, hope, heartache, secrets, and finally, healing that is so well written that it’s hard to put down. Alison knows how to write family hurt, how to put emotions into words so that the reader is transformed and sitting in with these characters as they’re speaking. As the fire is crackling, as they’re drinking and eating – we’re sitting there right along with them and it’s magical.
Olivia desperately wants a child, to love and adore while also carrying along the family line. So she asks her dear sister Kenzie to give her eggs. As it turns out, they’re left with one viable egg but, tragedy strikes before it can be implanted into Olivia. And Kenzie is left to pick up the pieces but, she finds out things that Olivia had hid from her. It leaves Kenzie with decisions to make and her husband doesn’t seem to be willing to be included in these plans.
This story was written so personally as though Alison had felt these things herself, it brings you in and refuses to let go. The emotions are just so raw and real. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It’s sad, it’s sweet, it’s tragic but, it’s hopeful and real. I loved it! 5️⃣⭐️ read❗️ Thank you to Bookouture and Alison for the advanced readers copy!

Alison Ragsdale has once again delivered a heartwarming and heartwrenching new novel for our reading pleasure. Her new book is titled My Sister’s Only Hope. My hope is that you read this new book and enjoy it as much as I did. It is such a satisfying read. It is another of those books that once I got into the story there was no putting it down. I’m so glad I don’t have to get up and go to work in the mornings!
This is a story of two sisters that were orphaned when their parents died. The older sister has asked the younger one to help her become a mother. She tells her she is her only hope. Kenzie knows she will do whatever it takes to help her sister. Her sister has done so much for her and this is finally something she can do for Olivia.
This book explores the bonds between sisters and marriage vows. It will make you think and wonder what you would do in the situation that Kenzie finds herself in. I am not sure I would have made the same decision in her situation. It is after all a life changing decision. A child is just not an eighteen year obligation. Love and commitment usually ends up somewhere in the mix.
I am absolutely giddy every time I hear that Ms. Ragsdale is coming out with a new book. There are times when I yearn for a story like she writes. She writes with her heart and soul. You can feel it in the stories. She has a great talent for developing characters that stick with you long after you finish the book. It is because you take a deep dive into their feelings and who they really are so they tend to stay with you.
If you love good stories about family, commitment and the nitty gritty that comes with them, then I highly recommend any book that is written by Alison Ragsdale and My Sister’s Only Hope is a wonderful book to start with. You can’t go wrong putting this one on your nightstand. Until next time…Happy Reading!

A beautiful easy read. It was just a lovely story with heartbreak and love all wrapped up in one. Really enjoyed this book

In true Alison Ragsdale fashion, the story didn’t ask permission, it quietly walked in, sat beside me, and started whispering its truths.
With its emotional depth, vulnerability, and the quiet strength woven throughout each chapter, MY SISTER'S ONLY HOPE made this journey an unforgettable read for me as I felt every beat of grief, hope, and resilience as if it were my own. Page by page, this talented writer transformed an idea into a experience~ One I can truly say made a mark on my heart. It made me pause, breathe, and sit with emotions I didn’t expect to feel so deeply.
I truly believe this book will remind even the most seasoned reader of the power of storytelling; leaving them
completely undone by the tenderness and truth woven into every moment.
Thank you, Ms. Ragsdale, for allowing me the opportunity to feel every heartbeat of Kenzie and Olivia's story~ One I happily and highly recommend.

MY SISTER’S ONLY HOPE is the latest heart-wrenchingly beautiful book by one of my favorite authors, Alison Ragsdale. I have loved every one of her books and this one is no exception. This is a story of family, sisterhood, marriage, love and loss. Kenzie and Olivia are the closest of sisters. They even live on the same inherited family property with their respective husbands, Arran and Glenn. Kenzie and Arran are firm in their choice not to have children, but Olivia and Glenn have always wanted a baby. When Olivia fails to get pregnant, Kenzie makes the incredibly selfless decision to donate eggs to her sister despite the risks to her own health and the tension it causes in her relationship with Arran. Not long after an embryo is frozen, Olivia dies in a tragic accident that leaves the family reeling. After her death, shocking secrets come to life that threaten to tear apart this once close family. Unthinkable choices are made that will change the characters’ lives forever. I was completely engrossed in this heartfelt and emotional story of forgiveness and overcoming adversity. The vivid descriptions of the setting made me feel I was right there. This thought-provoking and touching story will stay on my mind for a long time to come. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read and review an early copy.

First, I want to thank Alison Ragsdale, Bookouture, and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I can provide you with this review.
Heads up you may want to grab a box of tissues before sitting down to read Alison Ragsdale’s latest My Sister’s Only Hope! Alison quickly tugged on my heart strings with this one and had me tearing up. My Sister’s Only Hope was definitely an extremely emotionally powerful rollercoaster ride with a lot of twists and turns you never saw coming.
I found it appropriate that Alison would dedicate this book to her forever friends that are her sisters!
There was a quote by an unknown person that Alison used in her book that touched me deeply about sisters being like stars, not seeing them but knowing they are always there. I have two sisters who both live in different states that I don’t get to see as much as I would like to.
Ohh it is a phone call that you never want to get!! My heart instantly ached for Kenzie!! I can relate to her getting a call like that about a relative and feeling all those feels!!
I love the bond that these two sisters Kenzie and Olivia had. Not to mention that they would do anything for eachother if it meant making eachother happy.
My Sister’s Only Hope deals with important issues like IVF, fertility issues, grief, etc. Plus, even deep painful hidden secrets of the past.
Alison’s ending I was kinda shocked by and didn’t see that coming. I was actually routing for another outcome.

This is a heartwarming and emotional read Every time I thought I knew the story there was a twist. How much would you do for your sister?

Another 5 star read from a favorite author!!
I highly recommend this and also be sure to have the tissues.
Loved the characters and how they were developed.
If you are on the edge of purchasing this it shy of Alison Ragsdale’s books, just do it.
I received a copy of this from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I've read and loved, through many tears, so many of this author's books. They always make me cry and always make me think about things. This one was good. It was sad. It made me think. But it was not my favorite book. I was a little let down.
Two sisters who are the best of friends. Each married to the man of their dreams. The loves of their lives. Sisters who lost their parents on the very mountain that is viewed from their home. While Kenzi hates the mountain. With a passion. Olivia loves hiking on it. She loves all that there is to love about climbing and hiking this mountain.
Kenzi is married to a great guy, Arran. From the very beginning of their relationship both vowed to never have children. Each had reasons. It was just not to be.
Olivia and Glenn want a child but can't have one. When Kenzi donates one of her eggs for them they are elated. But it seems that their excitement is not exactly as Kenzi thought. She senses something is wrong.
This book has a few secrets. Olivia has a big secret(which I guessed right away). Even their mother had her secrets. But Kenzi was kept in the dark so when she finds out she is somewhat floored. Though I still can't seem to understand why she would think it was the end of the world. Bad yes. But get over it.
Olivia is killed from a fall during a hike and everything changes. Glenn becomes distant. Kenzi goes completely nuts and Arran is just not there as I thought he should have been. But when Kenzi decides she just has to have the baby no matter what I lost all respect for her. She knew what it was going to do to her marriage. I mean he is the love of her life. Her soulmate. Her reason for being. But she's going to do the one thing they both agreed never would happen. Have the baby. I felt bad for Arran. I didn't blame him at all for what he did. Yes Kenzi should have a child if she wanted one but she should have handled it a bit differently. I think she was so selfish. I just didn't like her after that. I was a bit upset with Arran but not as bad.
Glenn was my favorite character in this book. He had his heart ripped out and dealt with it in his own way. He knew Olivia's secrets and handled them appropriately also. Glenn was just a very nice man. He deserved way better that any of what happened to him.
I liked but didn't love this story. It was one I could put down and get back to later. It took me five days to finish and not because it was horrible. It was because I just didn't get so invested in this story. Not like this author's other books. I hate that too. This is one review that is breaking my heart to write. But I do have to be honest.
Thank you #Bookouture for this ARC.

Such an emotional and emotive story.
We meet two sisters who have a strong bond following the tragic loss of their parents, they share a house and an opportunity arises for the youngest sister to help her older sister to fulfil her dreams of becoming a mother.
Kenzie has decided that she doesn’t want children of her own, and her husband agrees, however she is willing to offer her eggs so her sister Olivia can continue their family line.
During the process an unforeseen accident occurs and turns Kenzie’s world upside down.
Difficult decisions are made and heartbreaking moments occur, it was compulsive reading to see what Kenzie would do.
Some breathtaking twists kept me absolutely enthralled in this heart rending story.
Another amazing captivating story from one of my favourite authors.
