Funny, appealing, lighthearted giggles about a very grumpy looking cat and how all the elements of Christmas can be overwhelming but actually there’s only one thing that really matters. A book that can be read and enjoyed on so many levels.

I found this book disappointing, even for the audience it is aimed at. I wonder if it would work better without the text as the illustrations are fabulous, brightly coloured and stimulating then children could use their own imagination to tell what is happening. I thought the story itself was very ordinary and didn't really offer anything new to the market. I do feel awful for saying that as I am sure the author is very proud of it so I apologise but it just wasn't for me.

I absolutely adored this book i see a lot of myself in CAT and their dislike of the disruption to life at Christmas it's a sweet story with a beautiful meaning and a lovely book to read to children at Christmas. The artwork is brilliant CAT in the bow was a very humorous sight and there is a little tug at the heartstrings when CAT is cast out and get soaked and looks sad, as a cat owner myself I can definitely see the realism that the story has an absolutely perfect Christmas story and a great beginner book for a child starting their reading journey

Thank you to Bloomsbury Publishing Plc (UK & ANZ) | Bloomsbury Children's Books, the author and NetGalley for a DRC in return for an honest review
This is a sweet little book for children aged 0-5 years. Very short story accompanied by some lovely colourful quirky illustrations. Would make a nice little stocking filler this Christmas for any little ones you know.
Disappointingly short - the blurb is actually longer than the book itself and practically states most of the story anyway! Bit expensive for such a short book - RRP £11.45 - HB £7.85 PB - £6.39 Kindle. I would suggest borrowing from a library instead.

I loved the cover of this when I saw it on NetGalley so just had to ask for it and thankfully I was approved for it.
The grumpy face will fit so well with the other grumpy-faced animals on our picture book display.
Cat is a cat, cat loves quiet and comfort, cat enjoys normal and routine, cat does not enjoy change.
and most of all cat does not like Christmas!
Too much sweet food, shiny things, and visitors taking their places.
A lovely little read about a grumpy cat (who isn’t wrong about Christmas and change) but did get it wrong going off in a huff.
Great illustrations and the look on Cat’s face on the cover is just perfect!
I received this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Bloomsbury Publishing and Netgalley for my arc copy.
I adored this, it was such an easy book for kids to follow and the illustrations have so much in them there is always something to spot in it. I would highly recommend this as a festive christmas read for young kids this holiday season.

Lovely Christmas story, illustrations are beautiful
Read with my 3 year old and to quote it was - "Good because cat has a cuddle with the little girl in the book"

Thank you so much to Bloomsbury Children’s Books and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.
Cat doesn’t like Christmas, he hates everything about it. When he tries to tell his family all the bad things about Christmas, it just lands him in trouble and causes chaos.
What a hilarious picture book, I really enjoyed this, it was so adorable and summoned up a Cat perfectly. He played with everything in sight, only to him he was communicating that it was bad. He just caused so much trouble for his family, making him have a bad time out in the awful weather. It was a really funny book though and I liked following Cat on his antics.
It comes with really lovely illustrations, loved the colour choices throughout the book, I liked the way that Cat was captured and all that he was doing. I think this a really great hilarious book for the holiday season, it’s one young readers would really enjoy.

Children's book at Christmas are my favourite. I've been compiling the best ones for my girls for the last 13 years and continue to do so for my 2 year old son. "Cat's Christmas " is a bonafide belter. Fun enough for younger kids to enjoy, but with a warm hearted message that will resonate with older children and adults. It reminded me of the classic "Mog" stories.

"And he HATES the suprise visitors who come to stay." I feel you, Cat. A very sweet and wholesome story about little Cat and Christmas and what it actually means - to be with loved ones. Loved the illustrations and wording of Alison Murray. A cute christmas story for cat lovers!

Cat is grumpy- he just doesn’t like Christmas: the food; the noise and visitors that disturb him … he is one unhappy cat..until he finds himself outside in the cold and wet and learns a lesson when the clouds part for a moment.
Alison Murray has written and illustrated a wonderful book for the under fives - images that leap out conveying the moodiness of cat and pitch perfect prose.By the end of the book, cat becomes adorably cute.
A lovely bed time or anytime read and great for a nursery or EYS class story time…plenty to talk about
A perfect Christmas story and gift
Highly recommended
