A number of outstanding and brave Police work mostly from the middle part of the 20C and by Metropolitan Police Squad officers. It shows us how their work was not backed up by the courts with many lenient sentences being handed down in the 30s, 40s and 50s especially for not only carrying but for the discharging of firearms against these men. Tales of tremendous bravery.
My thanks to NetGalley and Pen & Sword for this arc in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Thanks so much to NetGalley for the free Kindle book. My review is voluntarily given, and my opinions are my own.
Having read countless historical novels featuring detectives from Scotland Yard, I was very interested in reading a non-fiction book about the real-life detectives. I really enjoyed reading about the different people and cases (but definitely prefer the fictional characters I have read about from Scotland Yard. Obviously).
Definitely would recommend this book to anyone looking for their next non-fiction book
