This book, was an absolutely favourite of mine! Really cozy, autumnal vibes. Exactly what I was looking for, like the gorgeous hallmark type movies in book form. Cannot wait for the rest that will follow in this series! Really romantic and I was rooting for Maddie the whole way through .

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me early access to the book in exchange for a honest review.

3 stars

I really wanted to like this book, but the over-the-top miscommunication drove me crazy. I absolutely loved the vibes of the book and it made me feel like I was in a cozy town. However Madison and Zach barely talk through anything. They just jump into bed and expect everything to work out. After years of unresolved issues, the ending felt way too sudden and unrealistic.

I gave it three stars because I finished it, and I know the miscommunication trope just isn’t for me. I also found it hard to connect with the characters and i’m not sure if it was just personally or if the third person stopped me from really understanding them. I did enjoy the side characters and the small-town feel of Maple Falls. I just don’t think Madison and Zach would last without serious therapy.

While the vibes of this one are on point, the miscommunication throughout the book pretty much ruined it for me. If you like drama & adults who don't have adult conversations, then maybe this one will work for you. I just found myself frustrated throughout the entire thing.

What you get:
🍂 second chance
🍂 forced proximity
🍂 opposites attract
🍂 small town

Thank you NetGalley for the E-arc in exchange for an honest review

This is such a perfect book for Autumn, from start to finish the book had all most cozy Autumnal vibes from the food to the setting. However I did feel myself getting fed up with the amount of miscommunication between Madison and Zach, it was constant throughout the book.

Trade Maple Falls for Dream Harbor and you’ve pretty much got another book of the Dream Harbor series. This book is super cozy and cute. Set in the Midwest in autumn, Maddie comes home to help her dad take care of the inn, which is fallen in disrepair since her mom’s death. What she didn’t bargain for is a second chance with the love of her life.

I really wanted to like this book, but it ended up being just blah for me. The miscommunication trope is on the next level in this book and it honestly made me want to throw my device across the room. The ending seemed super abrupt, like all of a sudden years of miscommunication, not talking, and heartache were just forgotten in the blink of an eye, no, that is not how it happens. Madison and Zach have the worst relationship I’ve ever seen, but are supposed to be all self sacrificing, but are really self sabotaging, they never talk about anything and just jump straight into bed. I’m sure there are some people who could like this book, but one of them isn’t me. I rated it three stars because one I actually finished the book, and two I know that miscommunication is one of my big icks, so it could just be me. I did like all of the side characters and wish I saw more of all the full collection of animals that are kept at the inn. And the people of Maple Falls do seem to really care about each other, and I liked Zach just fine, but don’t think he and Madison would last without some serious couple therapy.

Thank you @harpergrahambooks @bookouture @netgalley for the arc!

I only received this last night and I have already finished it. I read it in less than 20 hours!!!! 🚨

This was incredible. The vibes were IMMACULATE. Amazing fall/autumn vibes. The food. The coffee. The baking. The cafes. The apples. The pumpkins, flowers, and hay bales. The cinnamon, and the scent and food descriptions. Scarves and fires, cool breezes and crisp air, crunchy leaves… Forced proximity. Second chance. Opposites attract. Small town x city life. Animal rescue… that little doggo, Cocoa, was adorable. A little bit of a mystery. Miscommunication, but in a good way! And exploration of grief. Everything was amazing. 🫡

I’m also obsessed with Madison & Zach ❤️‍🔥😩

I loved the writing. I loved the setting & the vibes. I loved the characters. The banter and pining. The spice. Everything everything everything. 🤝

So sweet and wholesome. Like a warm hug. Such a cozy read. Although it’s winter here in Australia, it still was very fitting. I loved the cozy vibes and it was actually storming outside while I was reading this which was an amazing reading atmosphere for this book!! 📖

Get your tbr’s ready… and add this to it!!! 📚
