Ahhh this was such a fun read! The SLOW burn romance hooks you from the start and the short chapters ensure you can read this book quickly. Rian and Josie were extremely likable main characters and I loved the back and forth banter between them.

Thank you to Camilla Isley, Boldwood Books, and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I’m a big fan of Camilla’s previous series and her writing style. You Rock My World was a cute, quick, and fluffy rockstar romance. Although I don’t usually enjoy reading the rockstar trope, this was great as it mainly focused on behind the scenes and off tour moments of the pair. I loved Josie’s commitment to her own independence and her family. I’m excited to read Lily’s story and hopefully she’ll get her HEA. Dorian is a great swoon-worthy MMC and I’m content with how their story ended.

Thank you @boldwoodeverafter and NetGalley for this arc.
The story follows PR Josie and Rockstar Dorian, navigating fame, love, breakups and family.
This was such a gorgeous read. Really well written with dual POV and the pace was great, really easy to pick up.
Dorian is a glorious secret Golden Retriever rock star MMC.
Josie is sassy, sarcastic, raw and honest.
The two of them together was perfection.
There romance was full of banter, anticipation and longing.
Rock My World is out 11th September.

This was a great light and fluffy read. I was able to finish pretty quickly and while it was a slow burn it didn’t feel like it. Like there was enough of everything for me to not be like bored which is usually how I feel with slow burns but I loved this. I love that Dorian loves Josie so openly even though they didn’t go out in the public. I also love Josie and the fact she was willing to lose the things she loved for him. I feel this is a very equal relationship between them. Thank you NetGalley for this arc!

Talk about a slow burn!!
This is Camilla Isley’s first rockstar romance, and I’m praying it isn’t her last! In this book we follow Dorian (Rian) and Josie who spent an evening trapped in an elevator together a year ago. During that time they truly got to know each other before vanishing from each other life…however, they never stopped thinking about the other. Flash forward, Josie becomes Dorian’s PR person, which leads to many days and nights together. As Dorian’s ex comes back and tries to tear the couple apart, can Josie handle all eyes on her?
There are so many things I loved about this novel including the writing, main characters, and the dialogue. I loved the plot and how Dorian was so down to earth. He truly just wants someone to love him like he deserves. He has a big heart, and so does Josie. She is all about her family, and her sister, niece, mom and aunt are so fun!
The only things I didn’t like was how it got a little slow in the middle, how Dorian wouldn’t stand up to his ex until the end, and the fact that I never actually saw Josie do any PR work. She seemed a bit clueless about how to do her job.
This book should be on your TBR shelf!

I devoured this in just about twelve hours—it’s safe to say I was hooked from the start! Josie completely charmed me. She’s sweet, sarcastic (which I absolutely love), and full of life. And then there’s Dorian: the famous rockstar who’s lost in the shadow of his own public persona, desperate to be seen for who he really is.
Their first encounter? Stuck in an elevator during a blackout. Yes, it’s every insta-love lover’s dream—and for me, it worked perfectly. The chemistry was instant but believable, and their year-apart longing gave the story an edge of emotional depth.
What I really appreciated was the humor and banter—these two characters just click, and it’s so fun to watch unfold. However, what kept this from being a five-star read for me was the lack of deeper character exploration. We get hints of Josie’s family and career questions, and glimpses into Dorian’s internal struggles—but I wanted more. I craved that extra layer that would’ve made them feel even more real.
Still, You Rock My World is a quick, fun, feel-good romance with heart, sass, and plenty of rockstar charm.

You Rock My World is the embodiment of every rock star/lead singer fantasy I've ever had. Dorian and Josie are trapped in an elevator together for 10 hours. Dorian is the world's most famous rock star, and Josie works in a separate division of his PR firm and is also a huge fan. What should be an awkward experience turns into the most exhilarating and unforgettable experience of their lives, but ultimately, they walk away. One year later, Dorian needs a new PR agent, and he knows the perfect one.
I loved the dynamic and tension between the two main characters. Even though the story is insta-love, it had all the elements I love about a slow burn. Every tiny touch was filled with sexual tension. Their flirty banter was not just steamy, but beautiful and sworn worthy.
Definitely recommend to any romance reader!
Thank you Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this gifted arc. All opinions are my own.

Sweet, funny, and an instant mood-lifter. It's got the feel-good vibes of a rom-com with characters you actually want to be friends with.

3.5 🌟
Josie and Dorian (Rian), the 2 main characters in this dual perspective book both have things they're dealing with. After getting stuck in a lift together, sparks fly but unfortunately, they're not entirely destined to be together. The book starts off this way, with a flashback, before then returning back to present time. The flashback provides a good opportunity to understand the characters and their feelings towards each other at the start of the book.
Whilst I enjoyed reading this, just a word of warning that there is some form of TW and emotional abuse from an ex throughout the book. Whilst not physical, there are a number of scenes where this is really evident.
Generally though, another book I liked, but not one I flew through.

3.75 ⭐️ I loved the whole sad rockstar meets shy and bright spirited lady vibe. It was a rom com but there were serious topics involved. I love it when the connection is deep between the two main characters, not just on a physical level. It was cute. 🥰

Such a cute rom com- from the tour life to the inspiration behind the lyrics to the paparazzi drama meets the cutest couple! I really enjoyed the career vs life choices throughout the book and the way the two meet in an elevator crisis. This book would make such a great movie!

If you love a celebrity romance, this one’s a fun pick! When Josie ends up stuck in an elevator with Rian—a world-famous rockstar—their unexpected connection turns into something much bigger. The banter is cute, the chemistry is real, and while the slow burn really felt slow, it’s a charming, feel-good read. Perfect if you're in the mood for something light with a dash of Hollywood glam.

What a fun and easy celebrity romance! I am such a sucker for rock star romance stories and this one turned out to be so cute, the perfect pallet cleanser. I was hooked from the very beginning and was entertained the entire read. Between the fun meet-cute, the second-chance(ish) element, the OWD (I have been loving this kind of angst in romances lately, don't judge me), and the highs and lows of falling in love with a famous musician, I really loved this story!
After being stuck in an elevator for 10 hours with famous rock star, Rian Pheonix, Josie figures it’ll be a funny story to tell, not a plot twist with heartache written all over it. By morning, they’ve shared snacks, secrets, and sparked a dangerously real connection. Then the elevator doors open, reality crashes in, and Josie becomes a stranger he’s not supposed to remember. She walks away with a bruised heart and a vow to steer clear of rock stars forever. A year later, Josie’s steady again—until she’s reassigned as Rian’s PR manager. Back in his orbit, she must keep things professional to protect her job—and avoid falling for him all over again.
This book was a perfect pallet cleanser and I now have a new author that I'm excited to read more from!
Read if you like:
- rock star / celebrity romance
- instalove
- workplace / taboo (she's his PR manager)
- forced proximity
- second chance (ish)
-soooo much pining

"Josie isn’t someone I can chase recklessly. She’s the breakout song in an album, one I have to compose with intention, every note considered , every lyric meaningful."
I liked the chemistry between Josie & Rian. The chapters were fast paced and the past and present scenes were well ingrained. But the drama with his ex kinda threw me off. Nevertheless, the slow burn was good and I liked Josie's family. The writing was entertaining and I enjoyed the banter between them. I just wish there was an epilogue to nicely wrap up their story though, because I wanted to see how they were doing in the future. Overall, this was a quick and enjoyable read. I finished it in one sitting. So it was a solid 3.75 star read for me.
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review

This was cute yet a bit predictable. Good for a light read, but not super high on a recommendations list

I loved this book, I was hooked from the start. It was a fun, fast paced, sassy, banter filled book that had me giggling like a school girl. I loved the characters, the storyline line, the book itself.

⭐️ Rating: 4/5
📚 Tropes: insta love, rockstar x PR manager, he falls HARDER, lots of yearning and tension, banter
🌶️ Heat Index: 3/5
🌶️🌶️🌶️ = Sensual Open-door, lightly described
💌 Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with this ARC!
“I’ve always been terrified of being forgettable. I feel like the human equivalent of the color beige: safe, reliable, and easy to overlook.”
“Josie, you’re not beige, you’re a rainbow. You’re color in a world that likes to think in black and white.
You’re bold when people expect quiet, bright when everything else is gray, impossible to ignore in the best way.”
You Rock My World is exactly what it promises to be: a romantic comedy with lots of tension and banter.
I absolutely loved the banter between Josie and Dorian "Rian" Phoenix. I don't want to spoil you, but there are some phrases I might even steal and quote in the future, because they were so hilarious and accurate.
His respect for her boundaries and his understanding of her fears regarding her job, without offering to throw money at the problem, was so sweet to see. This book was a slow burn in the best way. And it was so nice to see how they got to know each other without diving into it sexually first. Really getting to know each other, learning if being with a rock star is something Josie can and wants to handle.
This is a book you can easily read in one sitting; the chapters are short, and you basically fly through it.
I really enjoyed the writing style and dual POV.
The book does nothing that hasn't been done before. You can guess the drama pretty early on.
I personally really disliked how Dorian handled that situation (the big drama later in the book), especially his reaction without consulting Josie.
It felt to me like a step backward in their relationship after they had been so good at communication.
I wish this had been handled differently.
Still, the end made me giggly and happy, which is what we expect from a romantic comedy, and it definitely delivered on that!
🎯 Final Thoughts: If you want a fun romantic comedy with insta love, banter and lots of tension, this is definitely the book for you.

Dorian looks like trouble but is of course a secret softie. Josie is funny and Queen of sarcasm always saying exactly what she's thinking.
I thought their initial meeting in the lift was entertaining and bursting with chemistry.
There was lots of action and entertainment to keep the story moving a long at quick pace.
I also loved Josies sister Lily and cant wait to read her story.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the instalove though and sometimes it could feel surface level.
1 very brief open door scene easily skippable.

While the instant love and marriage aspects were very unrealistic even for a fictional romance, I did find the story to be sexy with captivating characters that I could easily connect with.

For me Camilla Isley is an instant-buy author, so I was really happy to get to ARC read this story.
A PR manager and a Rockstar get trapped with eachother in an elevator, where they spend 10 hours sharing secrets and stories until they get freed. This ends in a wrong place, wrong time kind of story. Little did they know that their story didn't end there.
A year later the Rockstar, Dorian, gets involved in a PR nightmare and the PR manager, Josie, gets hired to work with him. This is where the story really starts and in a dual pov we get sucked into their love story.
I really loved the story, the characters and the whole forbidden romance trope. Josie is such a strong, smart and fun woman with flaws, which makes her so relatable. I really wanted to stay in this little world, so I'm hoping for another story of maybe one of the other characters.
Thanks to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Camilla Isley for entrusting me with an advanced copy to write an honest review about.
