Great little book that introduces different seasons to youngest readers. I think adults will get a kick out of the illustrations as well and I can see the books being a hit with parents and teachers as well.

What a wonderful seasons series from a rock star duo Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen. Deceptively simple and absolutely perfect.

(This is a review of all 4 seasons)

Mac and Jon are an unstoppable force. These board books might seem simple, but when presented together, their hidden complexities reveal so much space for exploration. You can feel the spirit of Margaret Wise Brown in the sparse text, and the images contain both obvious and subtle differences between each season. I also really loved the hats! I cannot wait to get these into the hands of families, libraries and early learning centers. An essential for all little ones.

Simple, cute and interesting abstract art style.
I read all 4 seasons and it's sweet.

This was the Summer edition of the series and shared all the similar artwork scenes but showing how these pictures are affected by the season.

Like Klassen's "Your" series, which I really liked, a book which is cute alone is filled in by the others in the series. I also read 'Now I See Winter', where you find out that the text is the same across (I assume) all 4 of the season books. This is effective at showing the passage of time and seasons to young readers. I can imagine that would be fun to discover. Good kid voice and I always enjoy Klassen's art. I can only assume a lot of planning went into making such a deceptively simple series of board books. As a consumer, though, I think it's disappointing to have to buy 2 or more of the books for the full impact to really come across. Overall I enjoyed the ones I read though.
