Christmas at the Home Farm Vets by Suzanne Snow
Erin, a mid-thirties vet, is happily settling into her recently acquired minuscule cottage near her workplace, the Home Farm Vets in a small village in the Yorkshire Dales. In late autumn, her former first big crush Oli, alongside whom she studied in Oxford, is hired as a locum and is assigned a room in Erin‘s house. They work well together and slowly rekindle their previous friendship…Their story is a lovely leasurely Christmas romance, sheer heartwarming escapism and I recommend it highly.

Really enjoyed it. I love all things Christmas.
Thanks for the opportunity to read & review it.
Will recommend to others.

Thank you to NetGalley and Canelo for the eARC!
This is a heartwarming Christmas tale following the love story between Oli and Erin, two vets who both end up working at the same place after a long time apart. I love how they met before the events of the story take place, it took away any aspects of instalove that might have been present. I loved the setting, and it wasn’t overly Christmassy, just a bit in the middle that happened during Christmas. The characters felt realistic and overall, I really enjoyed this book!

This is a cosy read with a lot of animals and a Christmas feel. It is light-hearted and a quick and easy read. It is the perfect escapism fiction for the festive season.

Thank you netgalley, publishers and most of all Suzanne Snow for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book. This is book two in the Hartfell series and can be read as a standalone alone, but I'd certainly recommend reading book one. A beautiful heartwarming story with a fabulous festive feel, lovely characters, gorgeous setting and some cute creatures. Definitely a book to add to your tbr pile.

OMG Suzanne Snow has done it again…. Another absolutely heartwarming story about second (and occasionally third) chances at love.
Erin is the new vet in Heartfell who is settling well into her new life and job with an amazing team when Gil, the owner of the Vets announces they are bringing another vet into the company over Christmas to help while himself and the family go away to Australia.
Erin was told it was going to be a female vet who she agreed to house while in the area but then the situation changes and a gentleman arrives instead who happens to be an ex uni friend of Erin’s who she hasn’t seen for years since they graduated.
Things set off a bit awkward to begin with as forgotten feelings reappear between them but to keep it professional Erin and Oli agree to keep their feelings under lock and key when out in public and at work.
Christmas Day arrives and unfortunately Erin is on call although her mum is supposed to be joining her for the day but due to the heavy snowfall her mums taxi cancels on them. While Erin leaves for an emergency situation and Oli in charge of finishing off the preparation for dinner and dealing with the turkey, Oli is planning the best surprise and present he could give Erin.….

Christmas at the Home Farm Vets is the second title in the Hartfell Village series, featuring Erin and Oli, who have a bit of history from a decade ago. Now he’s a visiting vet, and she’s his landlord. Dare they revisit history with a different outcome this time?
I had such a good time with Erin and Oli. They have a complicated relationship right now, a maybe we can do this, but what if it won’t work kind of feel. It’s going to take some trust and willingness to take a few risks before their happy ending can come about. Between working together, living in the same space, and well-meaning family and friends, this is a fun, entertaining romance with all the specialness of the holidays mixed in. At times, the animals (who are mostly adorable) will steal scenes from the humans… which is entirely expected. (grin)
If you love a well-written, believable, emotional romance that mixes the past and the present, animal encounters, and a couple you can’t help but root for their happy ending, then Christmas at the Home Farm Vets by Suzanne Snow is a perfect Christmas fit for you.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley, and I sincerely thank the author or publishing house for their trust. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Erin loves her job at home farm vets, it’s going brilliantly until a blast from the past becomes the new locum and the worst is that she’s to host them for the entirety of the stay.
Oli and Erin have history but is going to repeat itself, only time will tell.
Brilliant heartwarming read loved this book.

This tender second-chance romance follows Erin, a dedicated veterinarian who's built walls around her heart ever since fellow vet student Oli broke it ten years ago, only to find herself as his landlord when he returns to locum at her Hartfell practice. While Erin craves stability and independence, Oli's nomadic lifestyle of traveling between temporary positions seems to prove he'll never stay, despite the lingering looks and undeniable chemistry that still sparks between them. As Christmas approaches and they work side by side caring for the village animals, sharing meals in her cramped cottage and strolling through local fayres, Erin's carefully constructed barriers begin to crumble, forcing her to confront whether protecting her heart is worth losing the only man she's ever truly loved. This beautifully crafted story explores how sometimes true security comes from taking the biggest risks, and that independence doesn't always mean going it alone.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I enjoyed reading this book from the beginning, I was hooked.
Whilst at university in Cambridge Erin and Oli knew each other. At the time Erin liked Oli, but as he was from a different background she thought she she’d never be good enough for him.
Now, Erin is a vet and as the practice is low on staff, a new locum is due to start soon, and they will be staying with Erin at her house. But, it’s not till just before they’re due to arrive that she finds out that it’s Oli that will be arriving.
I loved the characters and the pets. The story had some twists to keep you turning the pages.
I highly recommend this book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for sending me a copy of this book to review.
This was a sweet romance, and I enjoyed it a lot. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

This book is a warm and uplifting festive romance, full of charm, heart, and a touch of nostalgia. Erin Hardy isn’t expecting her university crush—Oli Sterling, the boy behind her first kiss—to suddenly reappear in her life. But when he turns up in Yorkshire as her new tenant, sparks of the past mix with the complications of the present. From the cosy confines of Erin’s cottage to the bustle of village life, their story unfolds against a beautiful Yorkshire Dales backdrop, with plenty of “will-they, won’t-they” tension, family drama, and community spirit.
The friendships, the village atmosphere, and the Christmassy details all make this the perfect seasonal escape The romance is tender and believable, built on history and mutual respect but tested by real-life pressures—exes, family expectations, work commitments, and the vulnerability of opening up old wounds. It’s a genuine “will they, won’t they” story, one that keeps you invested while also making you want to shake the characters when their stubbornness threatens to get in the way.
Overall, it is a balance of romance, community, and seasonal magic makes it the perfect read to curl up with on a winter’s evening.

A great christmas read from author Suzanne Snow. Readers will love Erin and solids sweet story of a second chance at love. Snow does such a great job drawing readers into the English country side and the lives of the beloved characters. You will be rooting for Oli and Erin from beginning to end.

Erin and Oli’s worlds cross once again after a missed opportunity at love. Life clearly had different plans for them after many years of not seeing each other. They are both very caring vets and he ends up having to live with her. With other things in life, a relationship is complicated.
This book was cute and sweet, specially with all the animals and the Christmas feel. I did feel there were parts that were a little drug out more than needed. However, I still enjoyed it with the small town feel. It was a light hearted and quick read.

This book was very enjoyable, full of fun, friendships, animals and romance. I didn’t want to put it down and would recommend it to anyone wanting a quick read which is part of a series but can be read standalone.

Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.
A lovely, lighthearted Christmas read. Really enjoyed it.

My heart what a beautiful Christmas story
This was such a lovely read that I couldn’t put down
I loved the characters the setting the story the animals everything was so perfect. An amazing Christmas read

Suzanne Snow’s novels always give me a warm glow upon finishing the well constructed plots.
Erin and Oli met at Cambridge University both studying to become vets. He has always been in love with her, despite the difference in their circumstances. Erin is unsure of her worth and they split up without Oli being able to explain why he is apparently romancing another girl.
After ten years have passed, Oli applies to be a locum vet on a short contract at the Home Farm Vets where he knows Erin has settled and she becomes his landlady. At first she rebuffs his attempts to acknowledge their past.
However Oli’s sister intervenes and the on- off relationship between Oli and Erin is finally resolved when Erin realises just how insecure she has been and after more uncertainty, reaches out to him, having convinced herself that he is all she wants and needs in a life partner.
The reader is finally convinced that she will work well as the new senior partner in the veterinary practice with Oli as her helper in both the practice and throughout life.
It is always good to read a happy ending and I enjoyed this one in particular.

Beautiful Christmas read set in the Yorkshire dales. I have enjoyed many books by Suzanne snow and this one was no exception. Amazing! Loved it !

Years after a lost chance at love, vets Erin and Oli find themselves a second chance. Set in the Yorkshire Dales, we follow these two as they balance work, family and love. I really enjoyed this pair.
