"Edith Holler" by Edward Carey is completely bonkers and I loved it. There can't be too many books set in Norwich but this is a love letter to Norwich and the theatre. I had read that it was loosely based on Pinocchio and I got the odd vibe but it was so much more than that. Poor Edith is cursed and she can never leave the theatre otherwise it will fall down. Her Dad has many wives and there is something very suspicious about the latest one. Don't get me started on the local legend of the spread that is made there. Just loved it!

Edith Holler by Edward Carey is a quirky and original read. Dark and offbeat. Charming and whimsical but at the same time macabre and melancholy.
