The author writes well, so I am very sorry to say that reading this book is a waste of time. Too much winking at too many bestselling stereotypes to make the book enjoyable, and not even a bit of irony for the reader to think it's satire.

OH MY GOSH! This book is NOTHING like I expected but much much more! It's my first time "sexy cop" and it worked for me. That plus a murder mystery?! The perfect little package. It's dark and super hot with a little bit of kink.

Gillian is an author, trying to write her next novel. When things don't go over smoothly at home, she finds herself in a secluded cabin so she can write alone and relax. A series of disturbing events happen and the law is brought in.

This is where we meet Sam... they hit it off with an instant connection. I usually don't love that in a romance but this one works nicely. Sam is genuine and truly just wants to help Gillian.

This murder-romance is one that you will want to read in one sitting. It'll have you turning the pages faster and faster as you go to see what happens next.
