A small boy goes missing from his bedroom in a holiday cottage whilst his parents and friends are sat outside. What follows is the disintegration of the two couples holidays together when in an attempt to find out what happened to the boy long buried secrets spill out.

A thoroughly enjoyable read which certainly leaves the door open for a sequel.

Two Perfect Couples by Renita DeSilva, When Joe, Sash, Lydia and Paul go to India it is a trip of a lifetime. One night while on the beach drinking they’re taking turns checking on their children and also have Lydia‘s 15 year-old daughter watching them but when Joe goes to check on them, her son Ijet is missing. Joe is beside herself with wory her only son is missing but when she finds out who took him, it will be a catastrophic event and will throw everything Joe came to trust and believe in as an adult married woman into question. I found this book a tad bit slow but ultimately I really enjoyed it it is a slow burn mystery but not much longer than most other really good books. If you love thrillers then you will like this book just know Joe is made out to be over anxious questions herself and that did get on my nerves a tad bit but overall it was a really good read. I do want to say when someone takes a confidence and uses it as a ammunition later on when you’re no longer friends to me that is such a big betrayal because clearly you trusted them and now they’re using it against you and they have that in this book and it just made me cringe it really is a great mystery and I loved when Joe was at the train station at the end that almost made me tear up so yes definitely recommend this book. I read the Kindle version and listen to the audio at two different times and the narrator was great so either version would be a great choice. Renita Da Silva is a great author and one of my go to for an awesome read! #NetGalley, #TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #RenitaDeSilva, #TwoPerfectCouples,

This is about two couples who go on holiday together. They are all good friends, but the two women know things about each other that the men are not privy to.

Things fall apart in the most shocking way when the young son of one of the couples is apparently taken for unknown reasons. Or, is there in fact a very good reason?

Parts of the story felt repetitive and unnecessarily slow, and the premise is a little far fetched - but those who can suspend disbelief with relative ease, and fans of Freida McFadden in particular, are likely to enjoy this.

An incredible setting turns into an intensely terrifying world of fear and despair.
This story fills the reader with dread, not knowing who to trust and seeking answers to the disappearance of your child whilst uncovering secrets that should remain buried.
The shocking and horrifying finale leaves you breathless.
Highly recommended and beautifully narrated.
Five Stars.

A child’s disappearance sets off a story full of secrets, lies, and shocking revelations. The four friends at the center of it all were hard to connect with, they were pretty unlikeable.

The story slowed down a bit in the middle, but the pace picked up again later. I found the past timeline more engaging than the present, though everything tied together really well in the end. The revelations saved the book and made up for the slower parts.

Thanks to NetGalley and Bolinda Audio for the free audio copy. The narration was well done and enjoyable.

A trip of a lifetime turns into a mother’s nightmare. Two families on holiday in a remote villa are thrown into chaos when their little boy is kidnapped from his bed. Can they trust the foreign authorities to bring him home, what secrets will pop out along the way.

I found the narration to be well done, clear and engaging. However I found the story to be rather unbelievable and very repetitive at times, it was slow to get going and went in circles quite a bit. That being said the twists kept me interested and it was easy to follow.

I would recommend this book to anyone wanting an easy read, fans of Frieda McFadden may also quite like this story.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bolinda Audio for offering this ARC in exchange for my personal thoughts.

I enjoy this author and look forward to reading more of her books. Great premise, lots of secrets and twists & turns, kept me guessing. At times it felt drawn out & was going around in circles, but I came to realise that it was actually a pretty accurate depiction of the thoughts that would be swirling in one's mind, the second guessing, suspicion, and emotions of being in the situation the characters found themselves in. i enjoyed the narration and was pulled into the story quickly. Well worth a read or listen.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for an ARC for review.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bolinda Audio for the ALC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
This was a fun and gripping thriller that follows a family as they discover a missing child. The book is set from the mother's perspective as she spirals into fear, confusion, and paranoia.
The investigation was written really well, but I got frustrated at how many circles this went in. Everything went back to square one until the very end, and there was nothing to really suggest why the boy was taken until it was explained.
The mother already had rocky mental health, and understandably this was made worse with the kidnap and possible murder of her son. The questioning and memories from her perspective got a bit repetitive and annoying. We know she feels guilty but it felt shoved down our throats. Some of that energy would have been better placed in looking to the investigation, and having leads that actually make sense for the story.
Overall this is a great Thriller for people who want something quick, fast paced, and a twist you don't see coming.

Well narrated and excellent premise. Two families head off on the trip of a lifetime together. All seems amazing until one of the kids goes missing.

The secrets revealed along the way kept me reading. A bit tenuous at times, but very readable.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the copy to review.

They seem like perfect couples but do people ever truly know each other?

Jo and Lydia are best friends who tell each everything, or so they thought. Their husbands Yash and Paul run a business together. The two families (children included) decide to go on a dream holiday to Goa in India. They rent a private home on the beach and get ready to enjoy the luxury.

Things unravel early on when Jo goes to check on the children only to find her young sons bed empty. As the frantic search begin secrets and lies begin to be spilled. Who is really telling the truth? Can we ever really know someone?

I really enjoyed this booked filled with twists and turns. You really feel the fead and panic as we watch relationships implode in a desperate search to find a missing young boy.

3.5 ⭐️ | What should have been a perfect holiday turned into a complete nightmare when one of the couples kids disappears! Not to mention the mother of said child has been receiving disturbing messages.

When these bombshells started being dropped around 40% in they just didn’t stop. These 2 couples had more secrets that anyone could imagine & the ending absolutely left it open for a book 2 if the author chose to do so. What I enjoyed most was the alternating timelines that went back before the kidnapping and currently as they are seething for him.

The narrator did a great job on the narration in the audiobook, she truly brought life to the characters! Overall a decent read that fans of domestic thrillers may enjoy. Thank you Bolinda Audio and NetGalley for an advanced listening copy.

Two Perfect Couples began with plenty of promise, and while it didn’t quite deliver everything I hoped for, I still found parts to enjoy. The writing was sound and I liked the Goa setting, though I would have liked more of it. The plot felt slow and a bit repetitive, with twists that were either predictable or tipped into soap-opera drama, and the characters never felt fully fleshed out. I listened to the audiobook — the narrator was fine and easy to follow. Overall, it’s a light, dramatic story with a great setting, even if it wasn’t quite as gripping as I expected.

"Two Perfect Couples" by Renita D'Silva is a twisted psychological thriller full of lies and emotions. The book is replete with lies, secrets and an abundance of feelings that gave a strong Madeleine McCann vibe.

The story centres around every parent's worst nightmare: the disappearance of a 5-year-old Ajit.
The secrets that unfold on every step, the hidden tensions, and the lies simmering beneath the surface will leave you wanting more.

The use of multiple timelines enhances understanding of the characters.

The story follows two couples, best friends Jo, Yash, Lydia, and Paul, who travel on a much-needed vacation in India together. Everything seems to be going well until one of their children, little Ajit, goes missing. Jo, Yash, Lydia, and Paul are best friends; their children play together, Yash and Paul work together, and Jo and Lydia share everything. They look so perfect, but there are so many hidden lies over the years. Suddenly, they are tested and their true colours come out.

I listened to the audiobook, and narrator Melissa Advani did a great job with intonation and accents. As this is a slow-burning thriller, I'm glad I had an audiobook, as it made the build-up more enjoyable, with its emotional layers and suspense that kept me engaged and guessing what would happen next.

Two perfect couples is a twisty suspenseful thriller by Renita D’Silva. I was in two minds about this book as to whether I enjoyed it or not as it definitely seemed to have echoes of the Madeleine McCann case with a child going missing whilst her parents were on holiday. That aside, once I got into the audiobook it was easy to get engrossed in the twists and turns of the investigation and the stress of the family whose son had gone missing from their holiday home. It wasn’t the most relaxing listen as I find this type of book provides suspense and stress as a reader putting herself in the position of the parents in the story.

It’s definitely worth a listen to see if you can figure out who did it and to see if you can predict the twists as they come up.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book.

Two Perfect Couples, or is it Too Perfect Couples? Too perfect on the outside but hiding so many dark secrets inside, ready to come out and tear down the facade. Wow! What a nightmare on vacation! A missing child and so many secrets that come to light. Awful ones! Plus a very unreliable narrator, or at least it seems that way. But that would be too simple. Instead you get an unraveling or a fracturing, the longer Ajit is missing, both in the mind of Jo, the narrator, and the relationships of her husband and the friends they are traveling with. And boy are there dark secrets, and it all comes out during the investigation, until I was unsure what was true, what was false, and who was responsible for Ajit's disappearance. It ends up being pretty wild and the reasoning behind it all is quite whacko though it does prove that people will do anything for love. And the ending is quite unsettling and makes me really feel sorry for the family because it looks like their troubles are just starting!

The narrator, Melissa Advani, did a good job in bringing Jo and her worries, fears, and insecurities to life, as well as the other characters and their crazy vacation of secrets, betrayals and stolen children. I would not recommend going on vacation with them, unless you want to end up insane from all the crazy schemes being hatched.

Thanks so much for advanced copy of this book!

I’ve given this tile 3 stars, I’ve enjoyed listening to it, it’s a slow burn where I prefer something more fast paced. The story itself is very good and it’s very character driven, it felt a bit boring at times as it was quite repetitive. The best parts of the story are towards the end as it picks up a bit.
Also I have to say that at the very beginning this reminded me so much of UK Madeline McCann case.

I found the audio/narration suiting the book very well.

My first outing with this author, but it won’t be my last. I listened to the audio version, really well narrated throughout. My first feeling was similarity to the Madeline McCann case. Two families and their children go on holiday. The perfect escape turns into the nightmare from hell when one of the children goes missing from their bed, leaving only a little teddy. This is a fast paced thriller as the listener that the facade of perfection is just that; there are secrets below the surface and each reveal adds a new twist and dimension to this complex drama. It’s neat, gripping and I loved the pace and surprises along the way. Plausible characters, clever plotting and an end I didn’t see coming. Perfect listen all round.
My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for a review copy.

Two Perfect Couples by Renita D'Silva and narrated by Melissa Advani was an interesting and gripping psychological thriller to listen to, I was gripped from the very beginning especially as it had lots of good twists and turns from the very first chapter to the Big twist at the end. When two couples and their family go on a much needed holiday everything is going well and there are a lot of smiles all around.

Then one night one of their children goes missing. . . . Their perfect holiday and world around then crashes in front of their very eyes! Where or who has taken the child! He was fast A sleep one minute and gone the next!!!!

Will the local Police find their child before it maybe too late!!!

I loved the way the chapters were short which was brilliant, Bothe families are hiding Just a few secrets from each other and they are slowly bubbling to the surface. . . . The narrator Melissa Advani was excellent and bought this book alive.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture and Bookouture audio for the ARC
