Thank you NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for the eARC.
I loved this book, so good!
Set in LA in 1933 with a very likeable protagonist, Frankie, who comes from NY City where she lived with her mum in great poverty. She ends up as the assistant of a big shot movie mogul and can't believe her good fortune. She is in love with an actor, but they have to keep it a secret.
There were so many interesting stories about life in LA in those days, about the movie business, famous actors and the earthquake.
It's so well written, it was a joy to read and I didn't want it to end.

Another gorgeous cover, perfect for the story of 1930s Hollywood with murder, public disgraces, and shameful secrets that gripped me from page one. An intriguing must-read!
