Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

2.5 stars. DNF'd at 15%.

I don't have much to write for this review other than I don't think this novel is for me but I do see how others could absolutely love it. I could not connect with the FMC and time did not make it any better. I can for sure see how others will adore her though!

Nice book and enjoyed it!! This book is perfect for fans of Lucy score books

When talented chef Molly's best friend and business partner, Ava, passes away, she leaves Molly their beloved restaurant – and a wild, impossible bucket list to complete. But thanks to a legal mix-up, Molly's inheritance is at risk unless she ticks off every outrageous item before the Christmas Eve deadline: just twelve days away.

Determined to honour Ava's wishes and desperate to save her dream, Molly searches for a billionaire willing to share Champagne with her in a hot tub – one of the more extravagant challenges on the bucket list. She's in a luxurious ski resort in the French Alps, so it might just be doable. But then she meets Levi. A devastatingly handsome billionaire, yes, but infuriatingly resistant to getting involved!

As the snow falls and sparks fly, Molly is entangled in a series of increasingly embarrassing escapades. With time running out, can she pull off the impossible – and maybe even find love along the way?

Hot enough to melt the Alpine snow, this romantic comedy will sweep you off your feet

Despite being billed as a spicy story, this book had a foot firmly in each camp. Please make no mistake, there is plenty of action to get your pulse pounding, but it was more of a tease than an all-out romp, yet that suited the story perfectly. When we are first introduced to Ava, she is mourning the loss of Ava, her best friend and business partner. She is determined to raise the capital required to take their restaurant to the next level. Sadly, it is currently closed as there are still the finer details of Ava’s will to be settled.
Molly is presented with a bucket list that requires completion by Christmas Eve, and she takes on the challenges. As the list includes plenty of items that should be straightforward when working in a ski resort, she feels confident that each task is achievable. Encountering Levi whilst working at a party, she quickly becomes determined to avoid him and his devastatingly handsome looks. Of course, things are never that simple, and they seem destined to cross each other’s paths.
It did take me a few chapters to find my stride with this one, but once I was used to the writing style, I was hooked and thoroughly enjoyed the way Molly and Levi tried and failed to avoid one another. The exchanges between them were definitely heated, and it was never a question of if they would find a spark, but more about when.
The pace was good, and I wasn’t tempted to follow the time; I just kept turning the pages, eager to know how the book would end. Well, I already had a good idea of how it would end; I just wanted to see how many awkward situations it would take to get there.
Molly and Levi were a terrific match, and their exchanges were quick and fully loaded. It was almost impossible not to want them to find a way to be together. I’ll certainly be reading more from this author.

A Billionaire for Christmas is a laugh-out-loud rom-com that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

I love a holiday romance that is delightfully bonkers, and this book had this in spades. I read this book in my backyard, and I am pretty sure my neighbours think I must be crazy, because I was cackling pretty much the entire time. Be warned, you have got to love your romances a little crazy (in a good way), filled with embarrassing situations, and a family that is bursting with drama. I love a book where the heroine is up against the wall and racing the clock. Molly finds herself having to complete her late best-friends' bucket list, or she will lose their restaurant and apartment. The motivator behind completing the bucket list is a will that is worded funny and makes it seem like Molly needs to complete the list in order to inherit, so pretty much for complete romance reasons. I don't care if the motivator isn't realistic; it doesn't need to be. This book sets out to be a fun, laugh-out-loud romance about family and learning to step out of your comfort zone, and it does that.

The items on the bucket list are a hoot and so completely ridiculous. They are meant to encourage anyone doing them to embrace the crazy and be spontaneous because you never know where it might take you. Every time Molly completes an item on the list, chaos and embarrassment are sure to follow. It was great. It makes for a really joyful read. Poor Molly constantly finds herself in an embarrassing situation around Levi, who often takes the craziness in stride. Family plays an important part in this story. Levi's family comes together for the holiday season and stays at this luxurious cabin, where Molly is to be a personal chef. You have got to like your secondary characters loud, chaotic, and with big personalities. I thought they were great. It was like watching a soap opera unfold in front of my eyes, and I ate up every moment of it. One thing I liked was this message that even though this family has everything they could ever want in terms of material possessions, they were all unhappy and alone. They were missing those things you can't buy with money. It's clear that this family needs to sit down in a locked room and work through their problems. I really enjoyed them as a family unit. Their relationships at the beginning of this book are distant and strained, and it was lovely watching as this family started to come back together.

Molly is great as a heroine. She still finds herself grieving, and because of the will, she really hasn't had that time to grieve the loss of her best friend. Her grief and the pressure from having to complete the bucket list mean that Molly's emotions are kind of all over the place (understandably). If I were to say what Molly's growth in this book is, it would be around coming to terms with her grief by opening up about what she is dealing with. Outside of the grief, Molly doesn't need to grow or change. She is a great character who is actually the most level-headed and centred person in this book. It's Levi and his family who grow, individually and as a family.

The romance in this book is a slow burn with lots and I mean lots of stops and starts. Levi runs hot and cold throughout 90% of this book. It's clear that he has feelings for Molly, but one moment he is acting on those feelings and in the next he is so distant with her. We don't get to see what is going on in Levi's head, which means it's hard to figure out what is triggering these withdrawals. There are lots of miscommunications and misunderstandings between these two. It really stems from Levi's unwillingness to really talk to Molly and Molly being unsure how she can explain the whole bucket list situation. I liked their chemistry, and when these two are bickering, the banter is sharp and witty. I enjoyed spending time with them, and I loved their HEA.

A Billionaire for Christmas is a crazy, holiday romance, and I loved every moment of it.

A Billionaire For Christmas, by Jo Lyons, is a fun holiday rom-com. It is a quick, easy read with witty banter, misunderstandings, and a complicated family that keeps things twisted throughout the story.
I appreciate NetGalley and the publisher for providing the ARC ebook that I read and reviewed. All opinions are my own.

I just finished reading “A Billionaire For Christmas” by Jo Lyons. This book was fun to read. I main and side the characters in the story. Mollys journey to finding happiness again was interesting to read. I liked the back and forth arguments between Molly and Levi. I loved reading how much Molly was able to help his family. Levi’s family were all such big personalities! Molly fit right in. I would have loved to keep reading more about the characters.

My first Jo Lyon’s read!
A slow start. In the first few chapters the premise of undertaking your best friends bucket list or you loose your business seemed very odd., but after this it started gelling together.
A quick read and the challenges on the bucket list were hilarious at times especially for conservative Molly .
Completely over the top at times but an entertaining read .
Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Jo Lyon’s for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster, I’m not sure how else to put it! It opens with Molly mourning the loss of her best friend, so I expected a heavy, emotional read. But as the story unfolded, it became surprisingly light-hearted, packed with witty banter and laugh-out-loud moments.

Levi’s siblings were my absolute favorite, especially his sister, she completely stole the spotlight! She gave me major Alexis-from-Schitt’s Creek vibes… just with a bit more of a drinking problem.

There are a few steamy scenes (and quite a few "almost" ones), so if you're looking for something a bit spicier than a typical Portia MacIntosh book, this one hits the mark!

A hot steamy hunk who is a billionaire for Christmas is on Mollys to do list. Molly needs to power through Ava’s to do list before 6pm on Christmas Eve to ensure she inherits her half of the restaurant her snd her best friend bought. Overwhelmed with grief Molly struggles to function. She takes on two jobs to tide her finances over. One night she meets Levi at an event she is catering for. They meet and sparks fly but not in a good way. Molly try’s to tick off more of her wish list but it ends up costing her lots of pride and some of her sanity. This is a fun read. Thank you netgalley for this arc un exchange for an honest review.

4.5⭐️ Molly's business partner and best friend, Ava, passes away and Molly will lose the business in 12 days if she doesn't complete the rest of Ava's bucket list.

Molly meets Levi and it's instant attraction and comedy from there on out. She tries her best to complete one item on her bucket list with him, but he's not having it.

The situations Molly finds herself in are absolutely hilarious, embarrassing, or shocking to say the least. This book has some laugh out loud moments throughout and is such an easy quick read.

I wish the bucket list was spread out more evenly throughout the book instead of rushed at the end. Did this take away from the storyline? Absolutely not in my opinion. It helped with the urgency of completing her deadline.

I love the way the author paints the scenery and surroundings so beautifully that you can actually picture yourself there. I really enjoyed her describing the snow storms, the Christmas lights, and the romantic settings. If you're looking for a fast-paced comical rom-com, and don't mind a little spice, put this one on your list!

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

First time I’ve read a book by Jo Lyon. It was a really easy read. An escape from reality. Plenty of snow and crazy adventures as Molly attempts to complete Ava’s bucket list. Enjoyable and looking forward to more book by this author.

This was not the book for me. The premise of fulfilling someone else's bucket list was intriguing, but the list itself was kind of wild. The main characters were not appealing to me. I found myself annoyed at them. Thank you to Netgalley for this free ebook in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first book by the author but surely won’t be last✨ this story was more than a rom-com, it was a story of friendship and grieve, and it was very beauty I how the author was capable of combine those feelings, love and grieve, into this beautiful story, oh and it’s also very swoony and steamy so it is a must read 🙂‍↔️✨

A quick and fun holiday read with some very funny moments at times. The HEA didn't feel super believable though as it felt more sexual driven then it did in connection. Molly, the female main, fell flat for me towards the end of the book.
For a fun holiday read though, it was good.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this eARC!

4.5 stars!

A Billionaire for Christmas was a fun read that I devoured in two days.

This book follows Molly, a talented chef that has lost her best friend and could be loosing her job and restaurant as well if she doesn’t complete the bucket list her best friend created in time for Christmas. Time is ticking and she has to come out of her comfort zone to be able to continue achieving her dream!

We have billionaire romance, single bed, instant attraction, misunderstandings and some spicy moments.

I won’t lie, the first few chapters were cringe central but it then got to a point I couldn’t put the book down and ended up really enjoying it!

Molly is still grieving her best friend and business partner, though it has been nearly a year. She is reminded of a clause in the will affecting her inheritance of their restaurant, which includes fulfilling the rest of Ava's Bucket List.
There are some choice items on there, including costumes, nakedness, silliness and finding a billionaire!
Luckily enough, Molly is working at a ski resort to top up her income while her inheritance is in probate, and it is the kind of resort where you are likely to find yourself a few billionaires!
And meet one she does. She only goes and gets snowed in with him, along with his family, and misunderstandings and hilarity ensue.
Along with the sexual tension that builds between two people who are attracted to one another, but who cannot show their actual feelings.
I loved all the characters and their own brief stories that accompanied them.
Reading about Molly's attempts to get these bucket list capers ticked off in 12 days made me giggle!
Thank you, Jo Lyons, for a great little read!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC

Thank you boldwood books for the arc

I thought it was going to Christmas book but it wasn’t it was more of a winter romance book nothing Christmas about it

I didn’t like the more character annoying and unlikely

The romance wasn’t the greatest and when she called private bits, woman bits during the making love that it was so cringe 😬 and the romance was a bit cringy too

To be honest I did nearly DNF the book was really wasn’t for me

Meh, not for me. I appreciated the fast pace of the story. However, Levi and his family were awful, and I thought he was the worst. He was very hot/cold and used his position to be very condescending to Molly. She was a bit ridiculous, but at least she came from a good place. Not sure how they fell in love too. I think this was lust at first site turned to enemies to lovers. How did they fall in love? There was nothing meaningful that passed between them. If you like reading about terrible rich people, this is for you, but I would pass.

Thank you, Boldwood Books, for providing this book for review consideration through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

This was a 2.5 for me, but I rounded it up to 3 as the story was well written, even if I didn’t personally enjoy it.
The premise intrigued me, but the story gives off overly cringey teen comedy romance, which meant I struggled to finish this book.
